The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Regarding the new instructor.

Lii You only received the news in the past two days.

Moreover.

The document card in her hand is an electronic file card, which she received this morning and hasn’t had the chance to review!

However.

By usual convention.

If a new instructor arrives, they’ll generally reside in the separate courtyard at Wushuang Mountain Beiling Lake.

This time, the instructor is specifically appointed to assist Lii You as the deputy instructor of the third squad of the tenth team of the Reserve Team she leads!

In such situations.

The deputy instructors typically leave after half a month.

Basically, they are here to go through the motions and occasionally supervise training.

And incidentally select a few promising candidates to enter the National Security Bureau, the Sky Dragon Martial Arts School, and various Special Forces units!

Even if someone arrives completely ignorant of the military or training, it’s fine!

Whether those candidates thrive is only determined by later circumstances!

The routine is simple: go through the motion, select promising people, complete the mission!

Previously, it’s always been this procedure, and everyone is accustomed to it!

Therefore.

After receiving the electronic card, Lii You didn’t bother to look at it either.

They’d leave after half a month anyway!

This time.

Might it be a grouchy old man? A cultured youth? A lecherous old geezer? Or an overbearing character?

These possibilities crossed Lii You’s mind.

Yet, she didn’t care too much.

But finally, upon arriving here, she actually met a teenager!

And he matched the photo on the file exactly!

That was unmistakably confirmed!

”If I’m not, why would I be here?”

Seeing Lii You’s extremely surprised expression, Lin Tian expressed a bit of helplessness and said, ”I’m Lin Tian. I’m entrusted by the higher-ups to come to the Demon Cloud Ridge Special Combat Reserve Team for half a month, temporarily serving as your instructor here! And you, if I’m not mistaken, must be the instructor of the Reserve Team, right? I didn’t expect there’d be such an attractive female instructor!”

Faced with Lin Tian’s lightly teasing remark, Lii You’s expression remained neither pleased nor displeased.

She surveyed the calm and composed teenager in front of her and secretly nodded.

Though she was quite puzzled about why the higher-ups sent such a young individual.

But the decision was made, and it was beyond her power to change it, nor did she bother to give it further thought.

Then, she smiled and said, ”Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Instructor Lii, of the third squad of the tenth team of the Demon Cloud Ridge Special Combat Reserve Team! This time, I’m here to personally welcome you to become an assistant instructor of our third squad! As for your mission this time, it’ll be up to you to decide!”

Concluding her speech.

Lii You saluted Lin Tian with a solemn expression.

Seeing this, Lin Tian felt it inappropriate to remain seated.

He also stood and returned the salute.

”Hello, Instructor Lii!”

Lin Tian greeted with a smile and said, ”Are we heading out now? I’m rather eager to see what the Demon Cloud Ridge Special Combat Reserve Team looks like!”

At this moment, Lii You raised an eyebrow in astonishment and said, ”You haven’t grasped the details of our Demon Cloud Ridge Special Combat Reserve Team beforehand, Instructor Lin?”

”Hmm? I’m here just to be an instructor, carrying out my duties. Is there a need for prior understanding?”

Lin Tian looked at Lii You in surprise and responded, ”If there’s something to note, Lii You could simply explain it to me on the way!”

”Seems like you’ve done no preparation!”

Lii You furrowed her brows slightly, shook her head, and said, ”Our Reserve Team isn’t as simple as you imagine! If any issues arise later, I won’t be responsible!”

”Issues? Isn’t it Huaxia’s Special Warfare Reserve Team? What could go wrong?”

Lin Tian expressed surprise and some confusion.

”Because,” Lii You’s face turned solemn as she spoke, ”so long as there’s no loss of life, besides conventional training, there are no rules there!”

”In other words... beyond regular training, you might face challenges from other instructors or students! Essentially, as long as no one gets hurt, you might face very dangerous challenges!”

”So, in the Reserve Team, if students challenge you out of dissent, you must respond! You could also surrender immediately! At that point, you’ll lose the right to teach them! But beware of potential covert harassment...”

”On these matters, I won’t intervene!”

”Still going?”

Hmm?

Not as expected!

Lin Tian looked at Lii You with surprise and said, ”Sounds rather intriguing! All the more reason to check it out!”

”Intriguing?”

Lii You looked stunned, feeling somewhat speechless before shaking her head.

But, as soon as she finished speaking.

The next moment.

Buzz~

Her long, beautiful legs swept out like lightning, accompanied by a sharp sound piercing through the air, directly targeting Lin Tian’s forehead.

Strong!

Observing Lii You’s strikes, Lin Tian silently evaluated.

Yet, he remained unmoved.

Intuitively, he knew Lii You was testing him.

This level of attack lacked aggression, lacked intent to kill, combined with her body maintaining a calm demeanor, thereby assessed.

Having experienced countless battles in his past life.

If he couldn’t discern the current situation, he wouldn’t be reborn!

In Lii You’s view, Lin Tian appeared as if he were scared into a stupor.

She withdrew her leg, shaking her head and saying, ”If you’ve decided, let’s proceed! Just try and follow my administrative tasks! Many parachuted-in intern instructors and inspection instructors before you were far worse!”

Upon finishing, Lii You turned and walked out.

A military off-road vehicle was audible outside.

Lin Tian exited the courtyard and followed suit onto the vehicle.

”Instructor Lii mentioned numerous people before were bad off; were they bullied by the students?”

Lin Tian buckled his seat belt as he watched Lii You start the car, then casually inquired.

”Bullied? Hardly! They know when to compromise! Simply put, they admittingly yield and establish rapport with the students! Remember, the Reserve Team comprises fearless individuals! Coupled with the instructors supposedly here to select talent, it’s just procedural; no need to take it seriously!”

Lii You replied to Lin Tian while driving, ”I could select the people for you, so there’s no need to worry! Each day, your presence there for two hours suffices, then you’re free to leave! I’m concerned you may be too brash given your youth, causing trouble!”

Just going through the motions?

Lin Tian showed a slight pause in his expression, then nodded, saying, ”Alright, you handle it! However, given your depiction of the Reserve Team as daunting, I’m keen to experience it firsthand!”

By then, you won’t want the experience!

Lii You scrutinized Lin Tian’s skinny frame, unknowingly shaking her head.

”By the way, your uniform is in the back of the vehicle; you can put it on when we arrive!”

After a brief silence, Lii You pointed to the back, reminding Lin Tian.

Change it then!

Lin Tian had no objections, nodding slightly.

The vehicle left Wushuang Mountain, soon advancing westward.

Before long.

The off-road vehicle followed a winding, rugged road, steering past one mountain ridge after another.

After a full hour.

A vast plain finally appeared ahead.

Encircled by numerous mountain ridges.

On this plain lay an area enclosed by tall fortified walls with barbed wire.

Within, there are rows of buildings, bodies of water, forests, runways... and more.

In the distance, faint sounds of shouting could be heard intermittently.

”This is where the Demon Cloud Ridge Special Combat Reserve Team camp is located!”

On the vehicle, Lii You pointed there, explaining to Lin Tian.
