Chapter 1416: Chapter 1409: Let’s Skip Class Together

Previously.

The rumor had already spread in the class that Lin Tian was a waste of the Lin Family.

But that was just hearsay, and initially, Nian Ziqi was half-skeptical.

No matter how you look at it, Lin Tian seemed completely normal, no sign of issues.

He even beat up the director Sima Tao and school bully Zuo Xingfeng before, definitely not looking like a waste.

Yet, after meeting Lin Qingwu and hearing her words, Nian Ziqi speculated that Lin Tian’s mind might be a bit off.

It was just difficult to notice usually.

But… he didn’t look like the waste people talked about at all?

If his mind were off, it wouldn’t show!

Nian Ziqi’s thoughts whirled, her face showed embarrassment, then she scratched her head and said, “Mr. Lin, don’t be angry! Your cousin is actually doing it for your own good, she didn’t say much, just asked me to encourage you to study more!”

Encourage study?

Lin Tian kept a stern face and took a deep breath, feeling a bit angry.

However, seeing Nian Ziqi’s embarrassed look, his anger quickly faded.

After all, it had nothing to do with Nian Ziqi.

Given Lin Qingwu’s strong presence and her background in the Great Clan of the Lin Family, Nian Ziqi, with her ordinary background, certainly believed Qingwu’s words and could only comply.

After all, she was also the class leader of the first-year sixth class of the Pharmacy College, which is only fitting!

Thinking of this, Lin Tian smiled faintly and said, “Forget it, don’t follow me anymore! You don’t need to worry about my studies; when the midterm exam comes, I’m afraid there will be a huge score gap between us!”

“A huge gap?”

Nian Ziqi’s beautiful eyes widened, surprised at Lin Tian’s words since she was top three in high school and had full confidence in medicine, Lin Tian claiming he’d surpass her in exams was indeed surprising, making her think he was boasting. She squinted and smiled, “Don’t brag! Dare to bet? If you lose, you’ll follow my orders from now on. Dare you?”

“What’s there to fear!”

Lin Tian saw Nian Ziqi’s cute pouty look and found it quite adorable, saying at once, “What if you lose then?”

“If I lose…”

Nian Ziqi blinked, thought for a moment, and her eyes gleamed slyly, “If I lose, I’ll promise to be your girlfriend! Hehe, dare to bet then? I’m offering myself to you! Let’s see if you have the skills!”

Saying this, Nian Ziqi puffed up her chest, her face full of confidence.

And Lin Tian instinctively looked at Nian Ziqi, nodding secretly.

Today Nian Ziqi wore her long hair loose, donned a loose white T-shirt, and the graceful waist was faintly visible.

Below, she wore casual short jeans, showcasing her long, snow-white legs.

On her feet were white running shoes.

Her big beautiful eyes paired with a neat and pretty smile gave off a fresh, youthful vibe.

If there were a school beauty contest at Yanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nian Ziqi would certainly be among them.

Even if not at the forefront, her looks couldn’t be ignored!

“Alright, but if you lose, no backing out!”

Lin Tian looked at Nian Ziqi’s cute demeanor and replied with a smile.

To Lin Tian, this bet was merely a game.

“Hmph! Pinky swear!”

Nian Ziqi huffed softly, as if fearing Lin Tian would renege, she reached out her hand, seriously stating to Lin Tian.

“Pinky swear it is!”

Lin Tian curled his lips and hooked pinkies with Nian Ziqi, feeling her gentle slender fingers lightly brush his palm.

Simultaneously.

Nian Ziqi’s other hand held her mobile phone, capturing the pinky swear moment.

“Hehe, now you can’t back out even if you wanted to!”

Nian Ziqi laughed joyfully, excitedly putting away her phone.

“Wow… Qiqi!”

Suddenly, several crisp and surprised exclamations came from beside them.

Lin Tian and Nian Ziqi turned to see three girls walking toward them.

The three seemed acquainted with Nian Ziqi.

They approached, examining Lin Tian with meaningful gazes.

“Qiqi, you act so fast! In just a few days, you’ve snagged a boyfriend, and you’re even sticking together wherever possible!”

One short-haired girl leaned in, with an inquisitive but mischievous smile, “Qiqi, is he here with you to buy underwear?”

“Ah, Fangfang, what nonsense are you talking? We… We are just classmates, happened to come to the supermarket to buy things together!”

The appearance of the three girls was unexpected for Nian Ziqi. Standing in front of an underwear shop with Lin Tian, left them tongue-tied, instantly panicking.

“Hehe… you say it’s not true! Look, you two are hand in hand, isn’t it obvious what’s really going on?”

Another girl pointed at Lin Tian and Nian Ziqi holding hands, teasingly joking.

“I…”

Nian Ziqi, startled, quickly released Lin Tian’s hand, her face flustered, not knowing how to explain.

Seeing Nian Ziqi’s overwhelmed look, Lin Tian silently found it amusing, then leaned close to Nian Ziqi’s ear and whispered, “Class President, I wanted to skip class; if you let me, I’ll help you out!”

“Skip class?”

Nian Ziqi’s beautiful eyes dilated, nearly crying out in protest, but given the situation, she quickly agreed, “Alright!”

Lin Tian nodded slightly, then smiled at the three girls, “You guys are our class president’s friends, right? I’m just here to buy things, but I’m unfamiliar around; luckily ran into our class president who was going to help me out!”

“Really?”

The three girls were half-skeptical.

“Of course! Feel free to continue shopping; I’m in a hurry to buy things, let’s hang out next time!”

Lin Tian nodded confidently, then swiftly left the supermarket with Nian Ziqi.

Once outside the supermarket, Nian Ziqi, her face flushed, breathed a sigh of relief.

“Alright! Class President, please stop following me, head back to the classroom!”

Finally, casting off Nian Ziqi, Lin Tian shook his head helplessly, dropping a line, then walked toward the school gate.

But.

As he reached the gate, urgent footsteps echoed behind.

Lin Tian surprised, looked back, frowning as Nian Ziqi had caught up again.

“Still something?”

Feeling slightly exasperated, Lin Tian asked Nian Ziqi.

Nian Ziqi’s eyes sparkled, her face enthusiastic, “Umm… you mentioned skipping class?”

“Just as I said before, you allowed me to skip class! Besides, I will leave anyway, you can’t stop me!”

Lin Tian frowned, pouting as he spoke.

“No, no… I… I haven’t skipped class in my life! Umm, can I try it?”

Nian Ziqi waved her hands repeatedly, stepped forward to Lin Tian, then with a guilty look glanced around quickly before whispering excitedly, “Let’s skip class together! Can you take me with you?!”
