407: Chapter 403: Loans, Buying a Car, Picking Up Girls (First Update!) 407: Chapter 403: Loans, Buying a Car, Picking Up Girls (First Update!) Campus loan?!

Shi Mowan, sitting in the back seat, suddenly had a change in her facial expression.

Lin Tian didn’t understand what campus financial platforms were offering loans for, but Shi Mowan, as a senior manager of Tianzi Group, had come into contact with everything and knew well the trickiness involved.

Therefore, as soon as Yu Zimei’s call ended, Shi Mowan asked urgently, “Your brother got a loan from a campus financial platform?”

Yu Zimei, sitting in the front driving seat, was still somewhat dazed, her pretty face turning pale.

Hearing Shi Mowan’s words, she finally snapped back to reality, her face filled with panic.

“Sister Wan, what…

what should we do?

My brother can’t pay it back, and he’s being pressured by debt collectors.

He has at least over hundred thousand in loans!”

Yu Zimei began to panic.

She had heard about campus loans a long time ago.

Behind such platforms, there were typically powerful forces at play.

On the surface, they seemed like legitimate and reasonable lending platforms, but they offered unsecured credit loans from tens to hundreds of thousands, typically targeted at university students.

However, initially, these financial platforms were good, but university students couldn’t resist the temptation of loans, and gradually, as the loan amounts increased, the students couldn’t repay them in the stipulated time.

At this point, some forces behind the platforms would start exerting pressure, even hiring companies that specialized in debt collection to reclaim the loans.

For such large amounts of loans that students couldn’t repay, they would eventually be forced to use any means necessary to collect the debt.

Now, it was clear that Yu Zimei’s brother was facing exactly this kind of situation!

“What exactly is going on?”

Lin Tian was very puzzled; she was baffled by campus loans.

“To put it simply, it’s a comprehensive borrowing platform under the guise of a campus…”

Shi Mowan then briefly explained to Lin Tian about campus loans.

After understanding the situation, Lin Tian nodded and said, “Let’s go over and take a look then!

If it’s a legal financial platform, it’s reasonable for them to collect debts.

Later on, we’ll work together to pay back the money!”

“Yes, let’s go and have a look together!

Anyway, there’s no rush to get back to the company, leave Gale Group to Xiao Yan and Tang Ge!”

Shi Mowan nodded slightly, speaking earnestly.

“Thank you, Sister Wan!

Thank you, Minister Lin!”

Yu Zimei finally calmed down a lot and restarted the car, rushing towards University City Bin City Normal College.

It was only mid-June, and the universities were not yet on holiday.

The three of them drove to the gate of the Teacher’s College.

After getting out of the car, and just as Yu Zimei was about to make a call, her phone began to ring.

Seeing her brother’s name—Yu Zize on the screen, Yu Zimei was ecstatic.

“Zize, where are you now, are you okay?”

Yu Zimei answered the call, asking anxiously.

“Sister…

I’ve been locked up in a room, I don’t know where!

You…

wait at the college gate, Jayong and the others are coming out soon, my best friend from school, you know him!”

Yu Zize’s voice trembled on the other end of the phone, clearly very scared.

“I give you so much allowance every month, isn’t that enough?

Why did you have to take out a loan!

If mom and dad found out, they would be furious!”

Yu Zimei, though extremely worried and afraid, couldn’t help but scold her brother.

“Sister, you mustn’t tell mom and dad!”

Yu Zize was also anxious, quickly responding.

“How much money did you actually borrow?

And who are these people?”

After a while, Yu Zimei also calmed down and continued to ask.

Hearing the questioning, Yu Zize stammered for a long while before he said, “I…

I borrowed two hundred thousand, and then with the interest, it’s five hundred thousand altogether!

Once the money arrives, they’ll release me…”

By the end, his voice clearly trembled and choked up.

One could imagine how scared Yu Zize must have been at the time!

“What, five hundred thousand!

Where am I supposed to get five hundred thousand?”

Yu Zimei was stunned, screaming in shock.

With a snap, the mobile phone on the other end, belonged to Yu Zize, was obviously snatched away, and that cold voice came through, “Quit your yapping, give you one hour’s time, if you don’t bring the money over, we’ll have to sell off some of his parts to get the money!”

After the chilling man finished his message, he hung up the phone.

Five hundred thousand?

Yu Zimei stared at the mobile phone, her face filled with bewilderment.

She came from a mere ordinary family, barely considered well-off, where was she supposed to get five hundred thousand all at once?

“Beibei, get out of the car first.

Let’s wait for your brother’s classmate to come, then we can discuss what to do!”

Shi Mowan patted Yu Zimei on the shoulder and consoled her, “If it really doesn’t work out, we can either call the police or I can talk with President Xu.

We’ll temporarily move some money from the company to deal with this emergency!”

“Yes, yes…

thank you, Sister Wan!”

Yu Zimei, who was originally bewildered and at a loss, seemed to have found her backbone, nodding repeatedly.

Then the three of them got out of the car and waited at the entrance of the Teacher’s College.

Five minutes later.

Three people ran out from the college, all around twenty years old, two males and one female.

The girl appeared to be about one meter sixty in height, wearing thick black-framed glasses, and her round face was quite cute.

One of the boys was rather short, with highly nearsighted glasses, thin and frail in appearance, while the other was tall and mighty, evidently someone who often exercised or played basketball.

“He Jiayong, what exactly did my brother borrow money for?”

Seeing the trio appear, Yu Zimei hurried forward, grabbing the shorter and thin boy with myopic glasses, and asked angrily.

“Sister Beibei, Zize, he…”

He Jiayong’s face showed hesitation, stammering for a while, “Zize is usually very honest.

I think he was just impulsive when he borrowed the money.

Sister Beibei, please don’t be angry first…”

“Hmph, you are still defending him now!”

Yu Zimei glared at He Jiayong, then turned towards the girl with the black-framed glasses and said, “Are you also Zize’s classmate?

Can you tell me what happened first?”

“Yes, Zize and I are in the same major.

My name is Gon Lanlan!

You must be Sister Beibei, right?

Zize often mentions you!”

Gon Lanlan’s voice was somewhat husky, whether natural or not, she sighed and said, “Actually, it’s not all Zize’s fault, he was dazzled by love!

Before, he got a girlfriend, didn’t he?

She is one of the three great beauties of our department.

He must have mentioned her to you, Sister Beibei!”

“Is it Yan Yuan?”

Yu Zimei’s face showed anger as she spoke discontentedly, “Did she trick Zize out of his money?”

“Sister Beibei, my name is Ge Hong, I’m also in the same major as Zize!”

At this moment, the tall young man took over the conversation with a slight sneer, “They don’t dare to say it outright, so I’ll just say it straight.

After your brother caught up with Yan Yuan, the two of them were inseparable, barely a step away from being tied together with a rope.

I heard they even planned to secretly get a marriage certificate.

It’s obvious, they must have truly loved each other.

But later on, Yan Yuan persuaded Zize to take out a loan, planning to buy a car to show off a bit, and decided upon graduating to get married and struggle through life working hard…”

Listening to the tall young man Ge Hong’s explanation, Yu Zimei finally understood what was going on.

It turned out Yan Yuan wanted to buy a car, and at first, Yu Zize was against it.

After all, buying a car before they even graduated was too much of a stretch!

However, later, when Yan Yuan started threatening to break up, stating very clearly that it wasn’t easy to truly win her over, it was either split up or buy a car and be together for life!

Yu Zize was blinded by love, and directly found an online loan platform that was merely masquerading as a campus-based service without going through any official channels, borrowing two hundred thousand to buy a car!

But later, the money went missing, and Yan Yuan eventually broke up with Yu Zize too.

In plain terms, Yu Zize just borrowed money, bought a car, and chased after girls!
