One-Eyed Monster

Igor received the clusters of Spirit Power. He originally thought Spirit Power was intangible. Yet now, it was being transmitted within his hands. Although he couldn’t describe what exactly this Spirit Power was, he could still distinctly feel its real, tangible sensation.

These clusters of Spirit Power in his hands felt like solid balls. He could sense their weight and texture. Even though he couldn’t see anything, he could feel them. This abrupt change caught him completely off guard.

However, now was not the time for him to dwell on this sensation; a mountain of matters awaited him. Everyone here looked at him with expectant eyes, and he himself also wanted to find the source of the Spirit Power’s influx based on his previous understanding.

This diverted Spirit Power made Igor feel as if he could see its caster.

Although Igor had never seen Yuga, through the Spirit Power, he could sense the Wizard’s gaunt face. These flows of Spirit Power seemed to carry his sight and hearing, guiding them gradually into the distance. This journey allowed him to witness a variety of scenes.

Igor couldn’t determine if these scenes were related to events happening outside; after all, the feedback from this Spirit Power would undoubtedly contain exaggerations. This Spirit Power could also represent the caster’s perceptions at that moment. By manifesting through Spirit Power, it served to vent inner emotions and was also an instinctive reaction.

As Igor watched these scenes unfold one by one, he tried to deduce something but had no leads. He suddenly realized that these flows of Spirit Power were chaotic. Even when re-diverted by Kuren and the others, the Spirit Power couldn’t form a complete message. Of course, understanding messages through Spirit Power was a technique mastered by only a few. Igor hadn’t acquired this skill yet, so he was unable to perceive what was happening outside through it.

Would revealing all this Spirit Power lead to any discoveries? Igor couldn’t help but ponder this. There’s a method in the World Setting Technique where Spirit Power creates a Spirit Painting. Could that be used in this situation as well?

Igor’s speculation was not unfounded. Since it was difficult to discern the purpose of this transmitted Spirit Power, he couldn’t judge whether these clusters or flows carried any special significance.

If the other party truly wanted to transmit information into this safehouse, what method would they use? Would they choose to send messages blatantly, or opt for a more concealed approach? What kind of method would it be? Igor began to rack his brain.

Igor couldn’t determine the intent behind the Spirit Power being transmitted into this cave. He could only make rough assumptions, using his imagination to anticipate his next move. This was a considerable risk, but he had no choice; at this stage, he had to proceed this way.

Tracking down the source was not an easy task.

Igor tried everything but still came up empty. He really wanted Senior Kuren to help display these clusters or flows of Spirit Power as a painting, which might offer a different perspective on the source’s direction. However, Igor ultimately abandoned the idea. Kuren and the others had already provided all the necessary conditions; now, only his conclusion was needed.

Igor patted his face. Clearly, my imagination ran too wild earlier. The source of these Spirit Power clusters and flows wasn’t as complex as he’d first thought. It should certainly be discoverable by following this Two-way Channel. The only problem was that he currently couldn’t determine the actual location where this Spirit Power lingered or converged.

After all, Guru Mountain was still an unfamiliar place to him. Even if he found the source’s location now, he couldn’t pinpoint its exact position.

As for how he found it, that was also quite simple: he followed the Two-way Channel to the place where the Spirit Power converged.

Igor broke down these complex streams of Spirit Power one by one before tossing them all into this Two-way Channel. Initially, this diverted Spirit Power ran chaotically within the channel, like so many headless flies. However, it wasn’t long before the streams began to mix, merging and then flowing together in a single direction.

There was so much activity during this flow that Igor, who was prone to overthinking, once again fell into a meditative state. This meditation nearly derailed his entire train of thought. If he hadn’t pulled back in time, his thoughts might have become fixated on the path filled with myriad displayed images.

If that had happened, Igor would likely have been trapped.

Luckily, Igor didn’t fall for the trick. Looking back, it was quite a terrifying situation.

If he had really asked Kuren to create the Spirit Painting back then, he would undoubtedly be entangled by those images now. If that were the case, he would have been in real trouble. Forget finding the source; he might have even forgotten what he intended to do in the first place.

There was no helping it; the information revealed by the Spirit Power flows was so mysterious that Igor couldn’t help but let his imagination wander.

Fortunately, Igor reacted quickly enough not to fall into this trap. Even now, though he still felt a bit apprehensive, he had managed to escape those deceptive illusions. To be precise, they weren’t exactly deceptions or illusions, merely misdirections.

Igor remained relatively calm and managed to stop his wild thoughts in time. At the most critical moment, he pulled himself back. Although he didn’t know why he stopped, it wasn’t important. What mattered was that he had emerged from the misdirection and, by following the clues, finally found the place where this Spirit Power converged.

No matter how chaotic these flows of Spirit Power were, or how they scurried about, they eventually came to rest in one place.

As they say, everything returns to its source. This Spirit Power must have undergone some special processing before entering the safehouse. It was transmitted from a specific location, absorbed some information within the safehouse, and then swiftly returned. Due to the actions of Igor and the others, this flow of Spirit Power now had its origin and destination aligned; it essentially took a detour outside before heading back.

”I found it!” Igor said calmly, his excitement considerably lessened. It wasn’t because he was unhappy about finding the source, but because he didn’t know its exact location.

”You found it?” Joseph and Kuren were ecstatic. They felt their anticipation had finally yielded a good return.

”But, I’m having a bit of trouble understanding this place,” Igor confessed, voicing the uncertainty in his heart.

”Oh?” Joseph and Kuren were also quite surprised.

”I need help. Especially Kadi’s help.”

”Hmm?” Kadi was both surprised and flattered. He hadn’t expected to be so crucial at this moment; it was a stark contrast to his assumptions.
