Undressed By His Legal Services: Marry Me Again

Naomi rolled her eyes. His Royal Grumpiness had issued instructions. She pushed the door open carefully and stepped inside.

His bedroom was huge. There was a sitting area. A massive bed. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Enough empty space that Naomi was fairly certain her entire apartment could fit inside it with room left over for a small supermarket.

My God.

What did one person need all this space for? Maybe rich people needed somewhere for their egos to stretch in the morning.

Her eyes moved toward the bed. Dorian was still nestled beneath the covers. Or mostly beneath them.

The sheet sat low around his waist, leaving his bare chest exposed. Naomi immediately looked somewhere else.

She crossed the room and carefully placed the breakfast tray on the bedside table. The cup rattled against the saucer.

He shifted beneath the covers, one muscular arm disappearing beneath his pillow. She stood beside the bed and waited. His breathing settled again.

Naomi looked down at the contract file. He had to wake up. She needed to give him the contract before she left.

The contract she had spent far too much time staring at after taking her dinner upstairs the night before.

Six months and she could finally get enough money to take control of whatever debts Richard insisted belonged to her.

She would handle everything herself. She cleared her throat.

”What?!”

Naomi nearly jumped. ”For goodness’ sake!”

”What do you want?”

”Are you always this grumpy in the mornings?”

”Why are you always a ray of sunshine?”

Naomi smiled. ”Oh... thank you.”

Dorian’s eyes opened. ”It was not a compliment!” He rolled over slightly and dragged the pillow closer. ”What do you want?”

”I brought you breakfast.”

His gaze moved toward the tray. ”You cooked again?”

She had argued with him the night before. And now she was standing in his bedroom with breakfast.

Was she still angry? He still hadn’t figured her out.

Naomi adjusted the file against her chest. ”I also brought coffee.”

Dorian pushed himself up slightly.

”and, uhm... well, the contract.” She shifted her weight. Her gaze moved over him again, clearly trying very hard not to look at his bare chest. ”I... uhm... signed it.”

”Good to know,” Dorian said.

Naomi had spent half the night debating whether signing the contract was the smartest or dumbest thing she had ever done, and Dorian Heathcliffe responded as though she had barely spoken.

Whatever.

”I’m leaving for work.”

”Hurrah...” he answered dryly.

Naomi narrowed her eyes. ”You’re really charming in the mornings. See you tonight.” She turned toward the door.

”Do you drive?”

Naomi stopped. ”Yes... why?” She turned around again.

Dorian finally seemed to accept that sleep was no longer an option. With a long sigh, he pushed the covers away and got to his feet.

Naomi’s eyes dropped and her entire face flamed. There was absolutely no mistaking what was pressing against the front of his shorts.

Morning wood.

A very obvious one.

Naomi yelped and snapped her eyes toward the ceiling. ”Oh my God!”

”What?”

”Nothing!”

The man apparently had no idea.

”Come on,” he said.

Naomi remained where she was. ”Where are we going?”

”The garage.”

She finally glanced at him. Unfortunately, that meant seeing everything again. She immediately looked away. ”Like that?”

Dorian looked down at himself. ”Oh. What? You haven’t seen morning wood before?”

”No, and it’s not something I want to keep seeing.”

Dorian looked amused now. ”You get what you get, honey.” He walked past her toward the elevator.

She reluctantly followed. This marriage was going to kill her. She hurried after him. He stepped inside the elevator and held the door. She entered but positioned herself very deliberately on the opposite side.

The elevator doors closed. He leaned against the wall. Why was this man casually walking through the house looking like that?

Naomi’s brain immediately supplied the image of him naked. And what beautiful nakedness. She shut it down.

No.

The elevator opened. He stepped out. She followed him into the garage where he walked toward the key safe mounted against the wall.

Naomi watched as he opened it and scanned the rows of keys. He selected one set and turned toward her.

Then he tossed the key fob. She barely caught them. She looked down and saw the key fob to the Range Rover in her hands.

Her eyebrows shot up. ”What am I supposed to do with this?”

”Use it.” Dorian was already walking back toward the elevator.

Naomi followed him with her eyes. ”Wait.”

He pressed the button.

”You’re serious? You’re giving me your Range Rover?”

”I’m lending you my Range Rover.”

Naomi looked at the keys again. ”Thank you!” She shouted it just as the elevator doors began to close.

Then she pumped a fist into the air.

”Yes!” She hurried toward the Range Rover.

The doors unlocked with a satisfying beep. She slid into the driver’s seat, ran her hands over the steering wheel and adjusted the seat because Dorian’s legs were apparently twice the length of hers.

She pressed the start button. The engine came alive smoothly. Naomi grinned. ”Oh, the luxury...”

******

Thankfully, Callum called her. Naomi had spent most of the morning wondering how exactly she was supposed to tell a man she barely knew that she no longer intended to marry him.

Callum made things easier by asking her to meet him at a café lounge. Naomi scheduled it for the small window between her two jobs.

She finished her first shift, changed quickly, grabbed her bag and hurried outside. God, it was nice having a car. She was already getting spoiled.

Usually, moving between jobs involved checking schedules, calculating travel time and occasionally begging public transportation to cooperate with the life she was trying to live.

Today?

She simply got into a ridiculously expensive vehicle, turned on the air conditioning and drove away. She could get used to this.

No.

Dangerous thought.

The Range Rover was temporary. Dorian was temporary. His stupid six-floor house was temporary.

His bare chest. His cock — Naomi tightened her grip on the steering wheel.

Ten minutes later, she pulled into the parking area near the café lounge and stared at the steering wheel once more before getting out.

”Oh, I am going to miss you.”
