Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 268 Little Loki’s Thought!

If Tang Li Xue really tried to destroy Little Lokiʼs egg at that time… she would probably already turn into a dried corpse by now!

All of the four evil monarch beasts were not only super powerful, but they were also highly-intelligent, cunning, sinister, and merciless even though they were still at their egg stage.

All of these were embedded deep into their natural characteristic and the most important part of their survivability.

Different from the egg of the other mythical creatures like the four mythical guardian beasts, Dragons, Qilins, and many other more, the four evil monarch beasts were loathed by all of the living beings in every world.

Almost all of the living beings would try to destroy them before they hatch out from their egg because of their evil tendencies and sinister characteristic.

As for their parents? All of the four evil monarch beasts were never the type to babysitting their babies or children like the other creatures. They would dump their egg in the random lower-tier world and let them grow by themselves.

As for their babies or children would be able to survive or not, they did not care about it.

ʼThe stronger will survive while the weak will die sooner or laterʼ was the creed of all the beasts, and the four evil monarch beasts put this rule into work even more than the others.

Naturally, the eggs of these four evil monarch beasts should have their own ways to survive!

The options to kill anyone since they were at their egg phase or even killing the one who adopted them were one of their ways to survive.

They would keep an eye on their babysitter ever since they were in their egg phase. If they found their babysitter would do something untoward to them, such as trying to kill them, inform the deity-ranked creatures about them, and so on, they would certainly slay their babysitter.

Honestly, it was hard to tell if Tang Li Xueʼs luck was good or bad when she managed to get Little Lokiʼs egg from her system. But the system itself was not wrong since the prize from Tang Li Xueʼs system was completely random.

All the items, skills, treasures, knowledge, or companion eggs from Tang Li Xueʼs system were something the system copied from Divine World.

Except for something like [Double EXP Card], [Great Calamity Sticker], [Greater Lucky Sticker], and so on, which were generated from the system itself.

So technically, Tang Li Xue could even get an ordinary companion dog or chicken from Divine World if she was really unlucky.

Anyway, for Tang Li Xue to survive until now and even managed to get Little Lokiʼs approval was surely one of the biggest miracles because Little Loki, as the cub of evil monarch beasts, definitely has a very high requirement for its master.

(Babysitter and Master were two different things. Tang Li Xue was only Little Lokiʼs babysitter when it was still in its egg, but Tang Li Xue was officially Little Lokiʼs master right now after it hatched, she gave it the true name, and Little Loki accepted it.)

At first, Little Lokiʼs rating over Tang Li Xue was only average at best, maybe only 20 out of 100, and it never planned to accept Tang Li Xue as its master.

All mythical beasts including four evil monarch beasts have very high pride and self-esteem after all.

How could a mere weak mortal beast become its master?!

Moreover, Little Loki also heard that Tang Li Xue always said something bad about itself, like calling it a glutton egg.

She never even gave any delicious and nutritious foods to it until it was too starved and had no other choice other than devoured everything in the Auction House of the Myriad Foxes Academy by itself.

Little Loki knew that was a stupid, reckless, and dangerous move. If spirit beast-ranked foxes from the Myriad Foxes Academy managed to find it, even Little Loki did not have any confidence to defeat or escape from them all.

But Little Loki could not help it, it was too starving at that time.

Little Lokiʼs rating over Tang Li Xue increased quite a bit after that to 50 out of 100 since Tang Li Xue helped it by hiding it from those spirit beast-ranked foxes from Myriad Foxes Academy.

But Little Loki still did not plan to accept Tang Li Xue as its master even after that incident.

Weak, naggy, wishy-washy, brainless... No redeemable features at all!

Little Loki determined to never accept Tang Li Xue as its master!

After pondered it carefully, Little Loki thought that it also did not want to kill Tang Li Xue, so it decided to only run away after it hatched out from the egg.

But Little Loki was still worried that Tang Li Xue would do something which could bring danger to it, like divulging the information about it as the cub of a powerful evil beast to the powerful higher-ups of Myriad Foxes Academy!

As the cub of Evil Monarch beast, Little Loki was not completely unreasonable. It did not care about the life or death of any strangers, but it owed Tang Li Xue for protected it, fed it, and even used her own blood to nourish it.

ʼTo kill or not to kill?ʼ

Little Loki in its egg phase hesitated for a long time…

In the end, Little Loki decided to give one last test to Tang Li Xue when it hatched from its egg!

The evil and sinister aura from Little Loki invaded Tang Li Xueʼs heart and mind, whispered her to destroy Little Loki before it hatched…

Tang Li Xueʼs choice was being tested at this moment with her life at stake!

If she chose to spare the egg in her grasp, then she could continue on living…

If she lost herself and chose to destroy the egg in her grasp, then sorry… it would be a dead-end for her.

Tang Li Xueʼs life and death would be determined at that moment!

But Tang Li Xue did something out of Little Lokiʼs expectation!

”I cannot give everything you wanted before and maybe so in the future too. But at the very least, I can promise that I will never betray you if you never betray me first. I will never try to kill you as long as you never try to kill me either. I donʼt care even if the entire world becomes your enemies, I will do my best to protect you.”

Tang Li Xueʼs clumsy but sincere vow was keep ringing in Little Lokiʼs mind and heart.

A vow like this might sounds cliché and boring for others, but for Little Loki, this vow was the best and the most beautiful it ever heard, the one which touched the deepest part of its heart.

In the cold world that no one else it could trust, this clumsy but sincere vow was like a glimmer of warm light in the midst of cold darkness.

With Little Lokiʼs ability, it could feel Tang Li Xueʼs sincerity and honesty in her every word.

Little Loki was deeply moved and silently cried inside its egg when it heard that vow.

In the cruel world where no one cares about it… Its life was destined to never be peaceful and full of dangers… It must never trust anyone and tread its step carefully… Even its own parents dumped it carelessly like trash.

Only this weak and brainless woman accepted it regardless of its species and still vow to protect it even after she knew how sinister and evil it was from its presence and aura!

Right at that time, Little Loki thought that receiving a weak and brainless but sincere master like Tang Li Xue was not bad at all.

Thus Little Loki accepted the true name given by Tang Li Xue and finally recognized her as its master.

No one knew… not even Tang Li Xue knew… that her vow was the true reason for Little Loki to accept her as its master, and probably no one will know it too in the future.

Currently, Little Loki was still in a deep dilemma.

ʼTo help or not?ʼ

Little Loki was very smart, even though it was still a 2 or 3 days cub. It already knew that Tang Li Xue in front of it was only a clone of the real Tang Li Xue.

The real Tang Li Xue was not in any danger at all.

Little Loki also knew the real extent of Tang Li Xueʼs power.

With Tang Li Xueʼs current strength, even if she could not win, she could definitely run away anytime she wants.

After pondered it carefully for a while, Little Loki decided not to help for now and observed the situation first.

Not only because it did not want to violate Tang Li Xueʼs instruction, but also because it was hoping for its weak master to grow in this battle and become stronger as quickly as possible.

Despite all of its thoughts, Little Loki still squinted its third eye, and it was ready to help Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy anytime.

.....

…

.

Meanwhile, Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy and Ye Zhen already charged once again toward the skull masked man and his blood armored tiger which guarding the woman with a demon mask!

The skull masked man did not feel afraid and laughed out loud instead while said: ”It seems you two are really tired of living! Then I will grant your wish right now!”

The inner organs of Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy kept deteriorating fast, and this would be her only chance!

Their battle was finally reaching the climax!

RRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRR~~!!!

The blood armored tiger pounced toward Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy and Ye Zhen while brandished both of its heavy and sharp claws toward them!

The skull masked man also took out the black saber from its spatial ring, but he did not take any initiative to attack and only stood there to protect the woman with a demon mask.

”Young Master Ye, please block that tiger for a minute for me!” Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy asked Ye Zhen.

”But…” Ye Zhen was worried about the perfect copyʼs condition. He knew that Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy planned to fight against the skull masked man alone again.

”Trust me!” Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy said to convince Ye Zhen.

”All right! Please be careful, Miss Xiao Xue!” Ye Zhen gritted his teeth and decided to follow the plan of Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy.
