Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 717 Serena

On the hospital bed, Serena had a thin blanket draped over her lower belly, her short pants revealing snow-white thighs and exquisitely delicate, jade-like feet.

Her upper body wore only a camisole top, the curve of her lower abdomen beautifully taut without a trace of excess flesh.

Her chest was full and straining against the fabric, evidently at least a D cup and looking very firm...

Clearly, she was not wearing a bra, as two faintly protruding tiny points were secretly visible...

Her elegant hair was tied up, her face had the classic oval shape, and her facial features were refined and exceptionally pretty.

Not the breathtakingly stunning kind, but her appearance was especially gentle like water, and a pair of black-framed glasses gave her a deeply scholarly air.

An infinitely gentle feeling radiated from her. Although she was not a remarkably dazzling beauty, she absolutely belonged to the type that grows more and more attractive the longer you look, and she was also a beautiful woman in her own right.

She was around thirty years of age. Even without having given birth, she already possessed a plump, ripe charm. If she were in bed, she would definitely be a peerless delight.

”Little Luis has come!”

Serena gave a bashful smile.

”I wonʼt bother with those empty courtesies... hehe, how is Aunt Serena doing?”

Luis put down a case of mineral water and casually asked, ”Why arenʼt you wearing the hospital gown here!!”

”The weather is hot, and wearing those long sleeves is unbearable. The doctor said I could wear my own clothes.”

That must have been the reason she was going without undergarments, as, after all, there were no outsiders in this private ward.

Last night, the married couple had been here, and this morning other relatives had come to visit for a bit before going back.

”Little Luis, quickly take a look, how should this be handled?”

Logan appeared somewhat nervous as he opened a file and showed it to Luis.

At this moment, both Serena and Eloise focused their eyes on Luis, subtly accustomed to seeing this man as their pillar, the central core of their support.

Luis watched for a while, then smiled and said, ”The issue isnʼt major. Let me make a call to ask about it.”

Having established a personal friendship with Jian, once he inquired based on the location of the accident, he immediately knew who was responsible for handling this matter.

Two phone calls later, the matters with the traffic police and the insurance were essentially completely settled and firmly taken care of.

”Itʼs nothing, Iʼll handle the processing here!”

Luis sat on the accompanying caregiverʼs bed and smiled, saying, ”That car was making a right turn and changing lanes without paying attention to yielding to the straight-moving traffic. The fault is entirely his.”

”It was a minor scrape and certainly not a major accident. The determination is very clear.”

”Since the full liability lies with their side, we will pay for the medical expenses for the time being ourselves, and we can settle everything together for reimbursement after being discharged.”

He spoke with clear logic and coherence. Logan nodded along as he said, ”You are truly dependable. There were so many people here this morning, and each one was chattering away, but none of them had the slightest idea how to handle things.”

These relatives of theirs, all living honest and simple lives in the township, would truly be at a loss and completely helpless whenever anything happened.

Upon hearing this, Eloise couldnʼt help but glance at him with sheer contempt.

That husband of hers might also speak in a clear and logical manner, but when a real problem happened, he was utterly clueless and utterly unreliable.

Not to mention her, even her daughter Ariana looked down on him with a bit of disdain...

However, as Ariana looked at Luis, her eyes twinkled with little sparkling stars. This was a man with a true sense of responsibility.

He handled matters in an orderly and methodical fashion, and that mature, steady, composed, and highly capable demeanor of his... made her heart ripple inside her chest with a surging wave of pure happiness.

Serenaʼs eyes were also tender and soft with allure as she said in a delicate voice, ”Little Luis, we donʼt understand these things, so whatever you say, that is exactly what we will listen to.”

”Itʼs just too much trouble for you, rushing around tirelessly to take care of every single thing.”

”Aunt Serena, Uncle Logan... you two should go back home and rest first.”

”Tomorrow you still have work, and Ariana also has to go to school. Iʼll handle everything here on this side.”

Luis said with a cheerful chuckle, ”Thereʼs also no need to keep watching ceaselessly here. The surgery is a minor one, and normally itʼs just IV drips, so there isnʼt much going on.”

”I will find a suitable nursing worker shortly. When it comes to looking after patients, they are far more professional than we ordinary folks can ever be.”

”This... is it reliable??”

Eloise subconsciously asked a question.

Acrid and harsh as he usually was, even Logan gave his approval, saying, ”My dear wife, Little Luis is right.”

In the minds of common ordinary folk, being hospitalized, whether due to illness or injury, is always a major event, and money naturally must be spent on what is truly critical.

They would normally never stay in such a high-class private ward; they would find it far too extravagant to bear.

As for care, even more so, distant aunts and sisters would swarm in together, creating a chaotic and disorderly rotation.

Although it appears outwardly to be full of familial affection, in reality, it is utterly exhausting, lacking in peace and quiet, and carries just a faint hint of moral coercion and silent forced obligation.

A nursing worker... such a term and concept felt far too distant and unattainable for them.

”This is the Hailton City First Hospital. The nursing workers here are very expensive, arenʼt they.”

Serena was also somewhat hesitant.

Luis grinned cheerfully and said, ”Aunt Serena, your sole responsibility right now is to achieve good recovery. As for other matters, donʼt spare them any thought at all.”

After sitting for a short while, her family members all departed first.

Now left as the only man and woman alone together, although they were relatives, they hadnʼt actually known each other before, and suddenly the situation became just a little awkward.

Luis poured some hot water for her and said with careful attentiveness, ”In this kind of weather, the air conditioning canʼt be set too cool. In a little while, Iʼll go buy a water cooling cushion for you, otherwise it will be a big hassle if you end up developing a heat rash.”

”Thank you, but please donʼt go through so much trouble!”

Serena seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the unexpected favor. Blushing, she said enviously, ”For Lily to be able to marry you, it is truly her great fortune.”

Luis was fully accustomed to hearing such words by now, as his mother-in-law, in particular, loved saying this to him the most.

Serena had a gentle and introverted personality. After hesitating for a moment, she gently said, ”Little Luis, the nursing worker can actually not be hired. My injury isnʼt that severe.”

Yesterday she had still been in unbearable pain, but her condition today could be considered quite bearable.

Luis smiled, turned on the television for her, and said, ”Oh, you, just stop overthinking it!!”

”Hiring a nursing worker is the most hassle-free solution. Otherwise, if a whole heap of relatives were here, rushing in and out, lecturing and endlessly nagging, it would actually be far more annoying, you know.”

”These days, when women are in postpartum confinement, they donʼt even want their own mothers-in-law or mothers to take care of them... itʼs too easy for them to be disciplined and nagged about this and that, leaving you with a full-blown case of postpartum depression.”

”Itʼs the very same principle as hiring a confinement nanny. That person is there simply to professionally take care of you...”

”No nagging, no claiming of merit and praise, and they absolutely wonʼt bother or annoy you.”

Hearing this, Serena was momentarily stunned. Once she thought about it, she realized that it truly was exactly that principle and logic.

It was just that Luis, a young man, was actually able to voice such a perspective. That was something she had genuinely never anticipated.

Soft radiant light flickered in her eyes as she smiled and said, ”You are truly so considerate. Lily is honestly so very happy. Any woman who could find a husband like you would certainly be overjoyed.”

Luis teased, ”Then Aunt Serena should look for a man just like me in the future.”

Amidst their light and pleasant conversation, the traffic police and the insurance people also arrived. The car owner came over as well, bringing a fruit basket to pay a visit and show concern.

Luis, acting in the role of the family member, handled the discussions with them effortlessly and conversed with great charm and ease. What seemed like a terribly complicated matter in the eyes of the Serena family.

He settled everything with understated ease. Lying on the hospital bed, Serena remained obedient and completely silent the entire time, yet as she watched Luis, her eyes gleaming with bright little sparkling stars.
