The First Store System

Chapter 1208: New Store Assistant(3)

The total number of participants participating in the fifth round was 938 billion, and the battle would continue until that number had dropped to ten percent of it.

It was a long round since every participant was more powerful than in previous stages by a large margin.

Seventy years had passed since the fifth round of battles began. Lily was tending to her injuries in a cave.

Her expression seemed scary, as half the skin on her face had burned off, and her bones were softer. As Lily tried to smear a healing paste, she couldnʼt help but take a deep breath and groan in pain.

The healing paste acted quickly, and the bones started to return to their usual hardness. Soon after, the muscle and skin began regenerating.

crunch! crunch! crunch!

The sudden soft sound alerted Lily, as it was someone walking on dead branches on the ground.

Lily stopped smearing the paste and got ready for the battle. She didnʼt want to get stuck in the cave and only receive attacks, so she immediately left it and proceeded in the direction of the sound.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, an arrow flew toward her, tearing through the air.

Clang!

Lilyʼs reflexes were quick, so she immediately brought her blade and knocked the arrow away.

Around an hour later, Lily returned to the cave with more injuries. Her face seemed excited, making it look scary and hideous.

After returning to the cave, she didnʼt restart the healing but took out an item from her space ring.

It was a circle disk. As soon as she touched it, the discʼs detail emerged in her head.

When Lily learned it, she couldnʼt help but smile, making her feel pain, but she didnʼt care.

The next moment, she transferred some of her energy to the disc, and soon it lit up, engulfed in bright golden light.

It was like a sun had appeared in the cave, but Lily didnʼt worry about being sighted by others. The next moment, the light began to expand, and Lily was the controller.

The rate at which Light expanded was extremely slow, but after covering an area of a hundred sq. meters around him in a square shape, it stopped growing any further.

The next moment, the light began to solidify, and soon after, it materialized into a hard surface.

It was like a transparent wall around the edge of the area. While inside it, a room with various training equipment appeared.

The square disc was one of the items gained by the now-dead participant during one of his hunting. The item allowed for the creation of an isolated square area of one hundred square meters.

The isolated space was specifically designed for the participant, so they could not only train but also recover from any injury there. It wasnʼt active for an unlimited duration, but only for three years, and it could only be used three times.

Lilyʼs fortune was great that the man had only used it twice, leaving the last use for her.

Lily was inside the isolated space and even without the healing paste, her injuries were healing at a rapid rate.

Time flew by, and a day passed.

Lilyʼs injuries had completely healed, so she was ready for training.

She immediately activated the combat function, and not long after, a puppet with similar features appeared before her.

Time was like a stream that kept flowing, uncaring of what it brought into othersʼ lives.

A century had passed since the fifth round began, and it was still going on.

Lily alone had killed a few million participants, ending their lives, and there were many like her.

One such participant was Xaran, a being from the Hygar race.

Xaran was one of the many customers who had been attending the store since the store owner was there.

Xaran was already a peak Immortal, but since he had no intentions of ascending, he stayed in the Primal Dimension.

He had killed several millions of participants in the last century, ending their journey in the contest.

Xaran was looking for another one of his hunts when he came across a human girl, and soon the battle began between the two.

The combat was destructive, to say the least, as both parties were extremely strong. Once the battle began, one death was the result, so the battle continued for days.

Xaranʼs opponent was none other than Lily. During the three years of training, her knife skills had truly grown.

Lily was reaching her limit, so she decided to use her ultimate attack.

Suddenly, heavy pressure appeared in the area, stopping both Xaran and Lily.

Not long after, the familiar door appeared, ready to take them back.

The death quota was completed, so the fifth round had come to an end.

Both Lily and Xaran breathed sighs of relief since the battle was time-consuming and mentally draining.

”Letʼs battle again!” Xaran commented and then stepped inside the gate. The next moment, he and the gate both disappeared.

Even though Xaran wasnʼt there, Lily still nodded her head, ready to face him in the next round. She then took a step forward and walked into the gate.

On the other side, Bazir was waiting for her. Several centuries had passed, but he looked the same as ever. Lily still couldnʼt estimate just how strong Bazir was at his full strength.

After the fifth round, the participants would get a training break of one hundred and fifty years.

The next day, the training restarted. Since there was no mental calming feature, many participants had grown frustrated with the continuous battle and training. It included Lily in the earlier rounds, but as she progressed, she found her motivation, and no longer felt frustrated with the repeating scenes.

Time flew by, and one hundred fifty years passed in the blink of an eye.

Lily and Bazir were standing in front of the open door. Both of them seemed confident that Lily would survive the sixth round, so they were smiling.

Lily wasnʼt being overconfident, but she had gained a skill that allowed her to feel confident. She no longer worried about the battle with Xaran if it occurred in the sixth round.

”I am waiting to get to battle you again,” Xaran muttered as he stepped inside the gate.
