The First Store System

Chapter 957: A New Day for the Store(5)

”How interesting that you found me despite your low cultivation!” An unfamiliar voice came out of Alfredʼs mouth.

”Why did you mark him?” Aakesh asked. His voice contained no respect at all for the man.

”Do you want me to leave him?” The man asked instead of answering Aakesh.

”Itʼs up to you and him to decide that. I only want you to release him whenever he is inside the store. Your aura is affecting his luck,” Aakesh answered immediately.

Aakesh couldnʼt just let Alfred summon an ultimate quality beast at every turn. It would be nothing but a waste of money for Alfred, as he would never be able to afford the beast, but he would still have to pay for pressing the switch.

”What if I donʼt do that?” The man asked with a hint of curiosity.

It was only the manʼs projection, so even if there were something dangerous, his actual body would still be fine. But the man still wanted to know what gave Aakesh the courage to challenge a Sacred Emperor.

Above the Supreme God cultivation level was the Sacred King level, and even above that was the Sacred Emperor level.

Each Sacred Emperor cultivator had an army of Supreme Gods, as their inner world could give birth to cultivators of that level, while their personal strength would be enough to cause destruction just with their presence alone.

”Then your original body wonʼt be allowed in the store, and possessing Alfred in the store would be against the rules,” Aakesh said with no emotion.

At the same time, a new rule appeared on the rule board.

”Possessions arenʼt allowed inside the store.”

”What if you and I make a deal?” The man suddenly said.

The store was the driving force behind his decision to mark Alfred. The manʼs name was Gagan, and he specialized in divinity.

While divining about him, the stars led him to Thorr City and the store. His actual body was very far from the city.

The divinity only led him to the store but not its directions, so once he lost the way, even he wouldnʼt know how long it would take him to find it. So Gagan had no choice but to expend a part of his cultivation and mark Alfred before he reached the store.

Since marking Alfred reduced his cultivation by ten thousand years, Gagan didnʼt want to give up on this body easily. Lifespan wasnʼt valuable in the Sacred Dimension due to immortality, so the cost required for divining was usually cultivation years.

”No,” Aakesh bluntly said, without even having the intention to listen to the manʼs offer.

”But I need this mark to know the directions,” The man suddenly replied in a hurry as powerful energy began to act on Alfred, trying to remove Gaganʼs mark.

Aakesh finally understood the reason behind the situation. There were countless skills in the Multiverse, so there were bound to be weird ones.

”You donʼt worry about that,” Aakesh suddenly said, and the aura around Alfred began to return to normal.

”NO!” A man traveling in the void suddenly screamed in anger.

It was none other than Gagan, who had just found his mark on Thorr City disappearing. The next moment, the conversation with Aakesh emerged in his head as a piece of memory.

Gaganʼs eyes turned slightly red from anger as he found Aakesh to be the source behind the ruining of his hard work and losing ten thousand cultivation years.

But suddenly, a smile appeared on his face as a new memory appeared in his head, telling him the exact distance and direction of the store from where he was.

***

Since the man was a customer and a wealthy one at that, how could Aakesh leave him to rely on fate? The system was going to remove the mark, but Aakesh instead told the system to mark the area where the store was, so Gagan would be able to find the exact distance and direction.

Alfred also returned to normal. His eyes were blurry at first as if he had been sleeping for years. His reactions were also slower.

”What happened to me?” Alfred asked as he looked around. He had no idea of what had happened moments ago. There was no memory of the moment as if the time had stopped when he asked Aakesh about his insane luck, and the time had only begun flowing right now.

Asher had an ugly face as he shared everything with Alfred. In the end, both of them looked at each other with ugly expressions.

”Store owner, has that honorable sir left my body?” Alfred asked with a weird face. It was a mixture of laughing and crying.

Alfred wanted to curse the man behind all of this, but not knowing whether the man was still there, he didnʼt dare to disrespect him.

”Yes, you donʼt need to worry,” Aakesh replied, and without waiting for Alfredʼs response, he closed his eyes, beginning another of his relaxation sessions.

Alfred heaved a sigh of relief after hearing Aakesh. The store owner wouldnʼt lie, as it wouldnʼt benefit him. If the store owner wanted to harm him, he would have never told him about the possession.

Since the store owner had closed his eyes, it meant he didnʼt want Alfred and Asher to disturb him.

”Letʼs check it inside,” Alfred suddenly said while pointing at the fourth room.

Since everything started with the beastʼs summoning device, Alfred wanted to clear his doubts by the same.

Alfred didnʼt even ask Asher for the money this time, even though his heart bled just thinking about spending a hundred ordinary stones.

As Alfred pressed the button on top of the screen, ”3” turned into ”4”, and the square light began to rotate in a clockwise motion at an unprecedented speed.

Exactly five seconds later, the rotation stopped as a beast appeared on the screen.

Soon, a card flew into Alfredʼs hands. His hands were slightly trembling as he focused on the content.

Alfredʼs eyes straightaway went to the quality section. Seeing ”ordinary” written there, Alfred couldnʼt help but heave a sigh of relief.

The next moment, his expression turned into disappointment as it was finally a beast he could afford, but its quality was nowhere near the level he wanted.
