The First Store System

Chapter 674: The Day in the Store(1)

It had been around six hours since the store opened for the day. Aakesh’s sale for the day had already crossed the amount many top organizations make in a month or even a year.

Despite that, the store didn’t look like stopping any more time as there was a queue of a few million people waiting to buy cultivation arts in front of Aakesh. Half the number of virtual portals were busy, while there were a few thousand people selecting their weapons, so the sale would only grow instead of slowing down with time.

“Store owner, I want to buy this cultivation art,” Maria respectfully told Aakesh as her turn finally arrived after waiting for some minutes.

Aakesh looked at the virtual book floating next to Maria, and soon, all the primary details of the cultivation art she had selected appeared in his mind.

“You need to pay three billion, seven hundred and eighty million, four hundred thousand supreme Primal stones,” Aakesh expressionlessly told the remaining price of the cultivation art after Maria paid the preview cost of the art.

The art was one of the most expensive ones in the Mythical-grade section, but Maria didn’t care. Even though she was giving up almost all the stones she had earned in the past several decades from Panagea, Maria happily decided to buy the cultivation art. In fact, she was more excited than ever, only twice to the time she won the territory in Panagea that completely changed her life.

The next moment, an alert appeared in Maria’s head, asking her whether she wanted to pay the amount or not. With it, a warning also came as, after it, she would only be left with a few hundred supreme Primal stones.

After Maria responded in affirmative, a notification rang in Aakesh’s head, informing him of the successful payment that Maria had made.

“The cultivation art is yours from now on,” Aakesh expressionlessly told Maria, as the virtual book floating next to her had started materializing into the actual world.

“Thank you, store owner,” Maria bowed and thanked Aakesh, with her tone containing nothing but reverence, even ignoring the newly bought cultivation art in her hands.

Aakesh didn’t speak anything in response but only nodded his head. He was about to gesture for Maria to leave the queue since there were already too many people waiting there for him to buy their respective cultivation arts when he saw Maria opening her mouth to speak something.

“Store owner, would the event be on schedule this year, or would there be some changes like that year?” Maria suddenly asked Aakesh.

A few years earlier, the store held the event a month later than the usual time since Aakesh had a big event going on in Panagea for him.

(A/N: It was the event that gave Aakesh thirty levels and helped him breach the Level 200 mark in a single swoop.)

Maria asked as no one knew what Aakesh would do, and she wanted to be confident since the event day was only a few days later if it went ahead on its schedule.

“It would be on its schedule,” Aakesh expressionlessly replied.

“Thank you, store owner,” Maria thanked Aakesh once again and left the queue with a look of excitement on her face. She was one of the winners in the final competition in the first event, so it will always hold a special place in her heart, and it also gave her hope that she had only started and there were many things she still had to do.

Time flew by.

“Damn it! Should I give up?” A curse filled with frustration suddenly rang out in the cultivation arts room.

It was none other than Lilith that had cursed in frustration. Yesterday, she had suddenly gotten an urge to check out the cultivation arts room. There she came across the shelf and got a shock of her life. She then had the urge to check the cultivation arts. Trusting her intuition like the last time, she went to the Immortal-grade shelf and started reading the arts, hoping for her to find something that would make her intuition act.

Yesterday had gone by, and now even today, seven hours had gone by, and yet she hadn’t found any cultivation art even worth taking a second glance at, let alone something that could prove beneficial to her.

Even when the number of people entering the store was equal to the number of virtual portals in the portal room, she didn’t come to the store at its opening time. But she always arrived late and entered the store to join the second group.

But for the cultivation art, she entered the store as soon as it opened and entered the cultivation arts room even without entering Panagea, even though there was an important quest going on and time flew three times in comparison to the Primal dimension. And yet, she hadn’t been able to find anything.

The thought of giving up and accepting it as a wring gut feeling rose several times in her heart, but she persevered and didn’t stop looking for the cultivation art.

‘Forget it!’ The next moment, Lilith thought in her mind and decided not to give up for the umpteenth time.

Accepting that her gut feeling was wrong was more challenging for Lilith than attempting to find a cultivation art that would prove her intuition correct. Lilith chose the easier option and decided to continue searching.

Time flew by.

“Store owner, I want this cultivation art,” A customer requested Aakesh as his turn finally arrived after waiting for several minutes.

The customer hadn’t bought the preview option, so there was no virtual book floating next to the man. The man handed over the page he had carried from the Rare-grade shelf and handed it to Aakesh.

Aakesh took a glance at the page, and soon, all the primary details of the cultivation art appeared in his mind.

“You need to pay three thousand five hundred and seventy top Primal stones,” Aakesh expressionless told the man the price of the cultivation art.

The man owned a superior card, so not long after, Aakesh got the notification of the successful payment in his head.

The next moment, a physical book appeared out of nowhere in Aakesh’s hands as he handed it to the customer.
