The First Store System

Chapter 238: New Quest

After the system stopped its notifications, Aakesh decided to enter Panagea since he had already planned for what he wanted to do today.

He had only taken a step forward when suddenly the systemʼs voice again rang inside the store.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on completing your last mission objective! Please see the quest screen for your new quest.]

The next moment, a blue window containing all the details of the new quest appeared in front of him.

Aakesh decided to check the quest first and then enter Panagea since it would only take a few moments of his time. He then focused on the quest screen and read it.

[Mission objective: Add the number of virtual portals,

Requirement: As a result of the three-day event, the Panagea had become increasingly popular throughout the Bisan Kingdom and some parts of the Primal dimension. So much so that only in the starting few hours of the opening of the store, all the slots get taken for the day. There has been an addition of 100 more virtual portals, but to ensure such kind of craze of Panagea continues and even more customers join it; the store owner needs to have 2000 hours of entry time every day into Panagea for seven days straight,

Mission reward: 1000 new virtual portals,

Failure punishment: None.]

Aakesh nodded after reading the quest. The details were the same, but the reward and difficulty had grown several times.

Earlier, he only needed to have 700 hours entry time into Panagea for three days straight to complete the quest, but now the number had grown by almost three times, making it 2000 hours, and that too for seven days straight.

Aakesh didnʼt worry much about the difficulty since he already had enough customers to fill all the virtual hours for the day. He then waved his hands and the quest screen disappeared. Since he had nothing more to do, he went to the portal room.

At first glance, he noticed there was an increase in the number of virtual portals, but he didnʼt care much since he only needed one. He went to the nearest portal and extended his hands.

The next moment, a suction force that even Immortals couldnʼt challenge appeared and sucked him in. He disappeared from the store and reappeared on the same spot he had exited in Panagea yesterday.

He didnʼt check his energy since he had no plan to use his class watcher today. He had exited from the market yesterday, so he was currently in the market and was traveling in a familiar direction.

The town of Wolfden still hadnʼt regained its previous buzz, but it was slowly returning to its past atmosphere. The streets werenʼt as empty as they were yesterday; more people were shopping in the market.

A few minutes later, Aakesh stopped in his steps since he had reached his destination. He was standing in front of a weapon shop. He stepped forward and entered the store.

”Welcome-”

The manager was going to welcome the being who entered his store since it was his first customer in days, but he stopped midway as he recognized the identity of the being who entered the store.

A fawning expression appeared on his face as he stood up from his chair. ”What weapon do you want to upgrade this time, adventurer?” The manager asked with a hint of excitement and respect in his voice.

The last time Aakesh had come to his store, he had earned profits in millions, so how can he not get to the point right away. After all, who doesnʼt love more money?

”I would upgrade ten weapons to the peak of Rare grade, with each weapon costing two million low soul stones,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded.

Aakesh already had 100,000 low soul stones on him, so he could buy anything from the weapon store and buy some extra material to upgrade it himself, but he wanted lots of money to buy some offensive skills. If he couldnʼt increase his level quickly, he would elevate his inventory of skills and then fight the wolf king.

The managerʼs jaw almost dropped to the ground, hearing Aakesh. He expected Aakesh to upgrade one or two weapons and take the same price of a million low soul stones, but the situation was completely different from his expectations.

Aakesh wanted to upgrade ten weapons and wanted two million for each, which meant he needed to pay twenty million low soul stones if he wanted to make the trade. The next moment, the manager fell into a difficult situation since he didnʼt have that kind of money in his hands.

Even after selling the bow, he had only made a profit of less than two million, and he only had one more million low soul stones on him, making him only have a fund of around three million low soul stones.

The manager then took a glance at Aakesh and wanted to say something, but no words came out of his mouth. After making deals with Aakesh twice, he knew that Aakesh wouldnʼt budge from what price he said, so the manager only had two choices, either he could accept the trade or refuse it, and Aakesh would make that deal with some other store.

Aakesh didnʼt have the time to waste, so he added, ”I donʼt have much time. Do you want a deal or not?”

Aakesh came here only because he was acting like a loyal customer. There were a few shops that had better business than this store.

”Please wait for a moment, adventurer. Iʼll come right away.”

A hurried and nervous expression appeared on the managerʼs face as he exited the store and rushed somewhere.

Aakesh only had to wait for a few seconds when the manager came back with a relieved expression on his face. ”Letʼs make a deal, adventurer,” The manager smilingly said. He then asked Aakesh to choose weapons from the store he wanted to upgrade.

A few moments later, Aakesh selected eleven weapons. A surprised expression appeared on the managerʼs face, but before he could ask anything, Aakesh paid him the price of the extra sword.

He then asked for some expensive upgrade materials and spent around a million low soul stones on it. The manager wanted to do Aakesh a favor and let him have the upgrade materials for his personal weapon for free, but Aakesh refused.. He didnʼt like owing favors, and he already had one favor to pay.
