Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Palesilver saw the 100% next to Alex’s name and knew it was coming. The man had been showing off throughout the competition, so she understood he would show off here as well.

She couldn’t imagine how none of the others had seen how well he hid his narcissism. He thought he was better than everyone here and wanted to prove it to everyone too.

Well, it was his bad luck that he was up against her now. She was going to make full use of her method to make perfect pills each time and was going to fail him.

She would be happy to do so.

Palesilver’s new pill heavily improved a person’s lightning resistance, making it a perfect pill to eat before any lightning tribulation. Using the Immortal Jadehorn Leaves, she began to make that very pill once again.

One after another, she placed in the ingredients of her recipe and refined it thoroughly. Bit by bit, she inched forward in her progress, all the while making sure she made no mistake whatsoever.

She could make a mistake on anything but in forming the shape of the pill. That was perhaps the most important requirement for her currently since even if she made mistakes with the energy, she could fix it.

As Palesilver made the pill, she finally came to an end. When she did, she recognized that the energy within the cauldron was perhaps enough to reach 100%. However, that was just too little for her.

If she wanted to confirm her victory, she needed to flood her cauldron with more energy and then use her technique. For that exact reason, Palesilver brought out two of her Immortal World Defying Mushrooms and put them into the cauldron.

The moment they entered the cauldron, the mushrooms were easily refined to release strong energy. When that energy came in contact with the energy within the cauldron, it copied the energy and became exactly that energy.

Because of that, the cauldron was now just as flooded as she wanted. With so much energy, the chances of her failing to form a pill cloud were very low.

So, when she employed her technique and finally formed the pill clouds, Palesilver was not surprised at all.

Two Immortal World Defying Mushrooms would be a waste at any other time for making such a pill. Maybe even using just one of them would most certainly be a waste, especially because of the total energy in the ingredients to begin with.

But if they allowed her to pass this round, then they were totally worth it. Knocking her opponent down a peg was just a bonus on top of all that.

The pill lightning struck down from the heavens a total of seven times before it stopped. With Palesilver’s cultivation base, this was just what she could do.

Once the pill was formed, Palesilver pulled it out of the cauldron and handed it over to the Divinity who stood close to her. She had kept her face in the same expressionless state as it always was, so the woman before her could not figure out what she was thinking.

Once the Divinity checked the pill, she nodded. ”It is accepted,” she said and put the pill away.

Palesilver turned her eyes away from the woman and looked at the brackets. Alex wasn’t done just yet, it seemed.

’What the hell is taking him so long?’ she wondered. ’Isn’t he supposed to have more time than me?’

Palesilver shook her head and waited while looking at the other groups.

She raised an eyebrow when she saw that both Faithseeker and Leafheart were remaking their pills once again. Their numbers showed 100% and 100%, which meant they were in the process of making those pills.

Aethersage’s number showed 100%, next to 97% for Jadetongue. The poor woman had lost at the top 8, but considering all the rewards she was going to receive at the top 8, Palesilver didn’t feel too bad for her.

Then, her eyes moved to Group 1, where Treegold and Dusklily had gone up against one another.

Palesilver’s eyes slightly widened in surprise when she saw that Treegold had ended up making a 100%, and as her opponent, Dusklily had only made 99%.

The difference between the two had just been 1%, and yet… Dusklily had lost. She had lost against Treegold.

Palesilver shook her head in disdain. ’You had an advantage against the other, and you still lost in the end? Pathetic,’ she thought.

Just then, the number next to Alex appeared.

100%.

She took in a sudden breath when she saw that. It appeared that her opponent had sadly managed to do the same thing as her.

Palesilver sighed and looked into her Soul Space at the number of Immortal World Defying Mushrooms she had. There were six more.

’They are supposed to last me until the finals,’ she thought. ’I need them to defeat that bastard Faithseeker.’

She was certain Alex would fail this time around, so she decided to only use one of the mushrooms this time and keep her other mushrooms for the next two rounds.

She would need them against both Treegold and Faithseeker in the end.

Palesilver brought out her ingredients once again and began making the pill. She did all that she could, controlling the ingredients without making a single mistake.

When the end came, she needed to flood her cauldron with even more energy.

So, she brought out one of her six mushrooms and placed it into the cauldron. Once she finished refining it, the cauldron had enough energy for her to be confident that she could form another pill cloud.

As she expected, the pill came out perfect, with the pill clouds forming above her. She completed making her pill after the seventh pill lightning struck down upon her.

Once she was done, she pulled the pill out and handed it over to the Divinity before her. As the Divinity checked her pill, Palesilver’s eyes wandered back toward the brackets at the top.

She immediately looked at Alex’s name and was surprised when she saw the 100% next to it.

’Huh?’

She could not believe how he had done it again. How had he formed another 100% pill?

The Divinity let her know that her pill was accepted, but that meant nothing to Palesilver, who had to make the pill once again.

Frustrated, she pulled out another group of ingredients and began making the pill. She kept her nerves about the whole thing and started placing in the ingredients.

She refined them all perfectly, leaving in the end a cauldron full of energy. She pulled out another mushroom and placed it in to flood the cauldron. Once that was done, the formed pill was once again perfect.

The sky rumbled and lightning struck down. Some time later, Palesilver was done with another 100% pill. This was the fourth one she had made for this single recipe.

She pulled the pill out and handed it over to the Divinity. Then, she looked toward the brackets once more, looking at Alex’s name.

”No…” she blurted out all of a sudden, unable to believe what she was seeing.

Once again, Alex had made another 100% pill.

So, they were going to have to make their respective pills once again.
