Firmament Sword

Xu Luo stood there, completely still, a faint smile still on his face. It was as if he wasn’t the one who had just attacked at all.

Li Ye’s body was blasted backward, flying several dozen meters. A trickle of blood escaped the corner of his mouth. The disdainful and arrogant look was still frozen on his face, but his eyes were filled with utter shock. He couldn’t believe someone could actually overpower him in sheer strength!

The purple-haired youth, Young Master Hui, had a glint in his eyes. His brow furrowed slightly as he stared at the young man opposite him, feeling a sense of surprise. ’The Southern Celestial Divine Continent... How could a young expert like this possibly exist here?’

The bewitching woman in the white dress and red hair, Erin, watched the scene with great interest. A strange light flashed in the depths of her captivating eyes.

The young girl, Xuan’Er, was stunned. She murmured, ”Brother Li Ye is very strong. How could he be knocked back so easily?”

Li Ye’s face flushed red. He paid no mind to the blood at the corner of his mouth, his eyes flashing with a crazed battle lust. ”I didn’t expect... you to have a few tricks up your sleeve. Not bad. I like this kind of opponent... Again!”

As he spoke, he twisted and charged forward. The light emanating from his body grew even more intense, forming into dragon-shaped beams that swam and undulated around him at incredible speed.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The two immediately clashed again, locked in battle.

Neither of them used Dharma Heaven and Earth; they were fighting purely with the strength of their physical bodies.

This kind of fight was exhilarating to watch.

Their movements were both so fast they were a blur to the eye.

After a few exchanges, Li Ye was once again sent flying by one of Xu Luo’s punches. He stumbled back over ten meters and this time, he couldn’t hold it in. With a great GAG, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

His body swayed twice, and he nearly collapsed.

Xu Luo used the Shaking Light Step, appearing before Li Ye in an instant. He raised his hand for another palm strike!

The purple-haired youth’s expression finally changed. He knew Li Ye was no match for this person! He immediately shouted, ”Stop!”

Li Ye, however, mustered all his strength and raised his hand to meet Xu Luo’s strike with one of his own.

BANG!

A massive CRACK echoed out!

Li Ye was sent flying once more. His body, like a kicked sandbag, slammed violently onto the ground, leaving him completely dazed and confused.

”I said... stop!” The purple-haired youth’s face turned icy cold. A murderous intent finally surfaced in his gaze as he looked at Xu Luo.

Xu Luo acted as if he hadn’t heard a thing. He took a few steps to stand over Li Ye, then said nonchalantly without looking back, ”You have to accept your losses in a bet. What are you yelling about? You want to fight me? Then bring out some treasures!”

”You...” The purple-haired youth was choked with rage. He never expected this guy to be so shameless as to say something like that.

”Interesting...” The bewitching woman with the white dress and red hair, Erin, flashed a sweet smile. She said to Xu Luo, ”Brother, may I spar with you?”

Xu Luo planted a foot on Li Ye, who was trying to get up. Ignoring the fuming Li Ye who looked about to pass out, he turned his head, looked Erin up and down, and said with a grin, ”Spar with me over what? Do you have any treasures?”

With that, Xu Luo ignored Erin and turned back to Li Ye, his expression stern. ”Hurry up. Are you going to hand them over, or do I have to do it myself? Give me the treasures!”

Erin lightly bit her pearly teeth, a flicker of anger in her eyes. But she suppressed it and giggled coquettishly. ”Brother, you’re such a kidder. Don’t you see that I’m a great treasure myself? If you beat me, how about I give myself to you?”

”Sister Erin...” Xuan’Er was suddenly frantic, wanting to stop her Sister Erin’s crazy suggestion.

Young Master Hui, however, calmed down. He glanced at Erin, then let out a cold snort, his thoughts unreadable.

”You?” Xu Luo’s tone was laced with surprise and contempt. ”You really think highly of yourself, don’t you? I don’t want you. I’ve already got several tigresses at home...”

”Argh... I’m so mad!” Erin was so angry she practically jumped. A look of shame and indignation appeared on her delicate face as she fumed, ”You are absolutely infuriating!”

Xu Luo stopped paying attention to the woman and turned to Li Ye, who wore a similar expression of shame and indignation. ”Do I really have to do this myself?”

”If you’ve got the guts, then kill me!” Li Ye was pinned under Xu Luo’s foot, unable to move. The foot felt like a great mountain pressing down on him, making it hard to even breathe. ”If you don’t kill me today... I will definitely get my revenge! When that time comes... I hope you won’t regret it!”

”That’s for later. Don’t change the subject!” Xu Luo said with a serious expression. ”Right now, we’re talking about the bet!”

”Who made a bet with you!?” Li Ye roared, practically fuming.

”I didn’t realize... you have a habit of welching on your debts. That’s not a good habit to have.” Xu Luo looked at Li Ye with a grin. ”That golden hair of yours... you must be pretty proud of it, right? Also... what do you think would happen if, while I’m searching you for treasures, I ’accidentally’ tear your clothes to shreds...? You, streaking in front of your friends... That wouldn’t be a pretty sight, would it?”

”You’re shameless!” Li Ye felt like he was going crazy, glaring at Xu Luo with bloodshot eyes.

”You’re wrong to say that. How am I shameless? From the very beginning, you all wanted to steal my prey. When you failed, you couldn’t resist trying to fight me, and then you wanted to take me as a servant... If we’re talking about shamelessness, that would have to be you!” Xu Luo looked at Li Ye and suddenly gave a cold smile. ”Or perhaps... you think I’m just all talk?”

As he spoke, Xu Luo’s gaze fixed on Li Ye’s golden hair with ill intent.

”You... Don’t touch my hair! I... I’ll give you the treasures!” Forced into a corner, Li Ye finally yielded. ”What do you want?”

”What do you mean, ’what do I want’? Hand over everything you have!” Xu Luo said.

”This is robbery!”

”Aha... Has your IQ really dropped this low? Kid, I think you should just hurry on home. The outside world is a very dangerous place...” Xu Luo looked at Li Ye with a pitying expression, then started to search his body.

He yanked the Storage Ring right off Li Ye’s hand. Channeling his formidable Spiritual Power, he brute-forced the ring open and was immediately dazzled by the vast collection of various treasures inside.

”You’re this rich? Looks like you come from a good family!” Xu Luo said.

”You... give that back to me! If you don’t, a great disaster will befall you!” Li Ye, completely stripped of his confidence, threatened Xu Luo weakly.

”Let me tell you a little secret...” Xu Luo looked at Li Ye with a grin and said, ”I’m actually *always* facing great disasters!”

”If you take his Storage Ring, I guarantee that from this day forward, you will never know a moment’s peace!” the purple-haired youth said coldly. ”Do not doubt our abilities. It will be useless even if you flee to the ends of the earth!”

”Tch... As if I’m scared of that!” Xu Luo said with disdain. ”I’ve never known much peace anyway!”

Saying that, he started searching Li Ye’s body again. Sure enough, he found several types of Spirit Medicine that had already been refined into pills, which he pocketed.

Only then did he give Li Ye one last, reluctant look. Even using his Treasure Hunting Skill, he couldn’t find a single other valuable item on him.

”Next time, remember to carry more treasures. This is really a bit too little!” Xu Luo said, looking completely unsatisfied.

”PTUI...” This time, Li Ye truly couldn’t hold it back. He sprayed out a mouthful of blood, his eyes filled with immense grief and indignation. He stared at Xu Luo and shrieked, ”Inside that ring, there were two stalks of Spirit Medicine over three thousand years old! And one that was five thousand years old... Not to mention all those top-grade Refining Materials! And you... you’re still not satisfied!?”

”Of course. Who ever complains about having too many treasures?” Xu Luo said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

”Those are mine!”

”They’re mine now.”

Then, Xu Luo lifted his big foot off Li Ye, not forgetting to lecture him. ”Don’t be so overconfident, young man. Remember, there’s always someone better out there! Your worldview is too narrow. You think being at the Second Layer of the Divine Power Realm makes you some incredible powerhouse. Meeting me today should be a lesson for you. If you follow me from now on, I can show you a much more exciting world!”

PTUI!

Li Ye coughed up blood again and passed out from sheer anger.

This was because those were the exact words he had just said, now thrown back at him, word for word.

Could there be anything more humiliating in this world?

”Friend, you’ve gone too far!” the purple-haired youth said flatly, an icy light flickering in his eyes. ”I advise you to return that ring right now. Otherwise... I guarantee you will regret it! And you’ll regret it very soon!”

The young girl, Xuan’Er, chimed in from the side, ”That’s right! If you take Brother Li Ye’s things, we won’t be able to go back...”

Just then, the bewitching woman in the white dress and red hair clapped a hand over Xuan’Er’s mouth with lightning speed, hissing, ”What nonsense are you spouting?”

The purple-haired youth’s expression also turned ugly.

Xuan’Er looked aggrieved, her eyes misting over with tears. She seemed to want to say more, but Erin beside her absolutely refused to let her speak again.

’Hm? Is there another treasure in here that I missed?’ Xu Luo’s eyebrow twitched. He seemed to have picked up on something from the young girl Xuan’Er’s words.

At this moment, the purple-haired youth slowly walked forward. He looked at Xu Luo and said calmly, ”How about this: you and I will fight. If you lose, you return the Storage Ring to me, and we’ll call it even. If you win, I’ll give you this!”

As he spoke, Young Master Hui suddenly took out a small seal. The seal was only about the size of a thumb and was crimson as blood, but it radiated an ancient and desolate aura.

Xu Luo had the feeling that he wasn’t facing a tiny seal, but an immeasurably vast mountain!

An immense pressure washed over him!

”Young Master Hui... how can you do this!” The stout youth, Er Gou, grew anxious and was about to say something.

The purple-haired youth gave a confident smile and waved his hand. ”He won’t be able to take this!”

With that, he stared intently at Xu Luo. ”So? I trust you can tell that this is a Sacred Artifact, right? What do you say? If you win, it’s yours!”
