Villain: I Can See Destiny

114: Chapter 114 Author’s Closing RemarksFirst of all, I want to apologize to those who gave me tips and urged me to update every day.

Why was it written like that towards the end? Why was the ending just casually brushed off in a couple of sentences?

Actually, a long time ago, I had already written a five-thousand-word ending...

The reason I didn’t release the originally planned ending is that this book didn’t even reach one-seventh of the outline...

Some characters in the ending hadn’t even appeared yet.

Why didn’t I release the outline in the last ten chapters? Why write about the unrelated Blue Star instead?

That is because the author didn’t want to spoil the plot. Although I intended to rush the ending, I didn’t want to give up on this story.

I plan to accumulate more experience and then write this story in a better way.

This book is indeed written very poorly. I won’t even mention the prose; it’s my first time writing a book...

For my first time writing, the original opening didn’t get signed because the protagonist didn’t appear in the first few chapters...

Then I found a template on TikTok, so some people felt it was very generic or had seen something similar.

Although it was a bit cliché, it was signed.

However, because of the cliché opening, it scared away almost half of the readers...

Then there was the issue of killing heroines. Actually, according to the outline, this was supposed to be a ruthless, cold-blooded novel with only four heroines (and one hadn’t even appeared yet...).

The others were either killed off or were just supporting female characters.

But because it was my first time writing, my Dao Heart was a bit unstable, and influenced by some comments, it became a harem novel...

It deviated from the outline quite a bit, and the result was that it pleased neither side; neither the ”ruthless” crowd nor the ”harem” crowd liked it.

Those who followed the updates daily should know that I often liked to talk about off-topic things at the end of the chapters (all of which have been deleted now).

This was a sign of immaturity. I asked some veteran authors, and they just laugh off negative reviews, remaining completely unmoved and ignoring them entirely.

If there are real flaws, they just silently modify them at most.

Then there is the matter of foreshadowing.

The foreshadowing was too abrupt and stretched too long.

Let me mention a few not-so-obvious foreshadowings here.

1. The Blood Pig and the Golden Bloodline clan of the Far East are both legacies of an Immortal Emperor who fell in the Cangnan Realm back then. When the time comes, he will be resurrected, and the Xiao Clan and the Golden Clan will have an immortal war.

2. Didn’t Young Master Xiao Zimo leave a weapon of the Dao Heaven Realm for Xia Guixuan? When the time comes, the Old Ancestor of Tianxuan Hall will pass on his power to him, allowing him to reach the Peak of the Imperial Realm. Relying on the weapon, he will ascend to the Dongyang Ancient Domain, and then be captured to mine. This is also the reason why Xia Yanran was sent to the Dongyang Ancient Domain.

3. The Flame Clan has always been slaves to the Xiao Clan; otherwise, how could they be allowed to provoke them? It was a pawn planted inside the enemy, so that whenever someone was hostile to the Xiao Clan, they could get the news immediately.

4. The Slave Creation Technique is actually the most powerful Cultivation Technique in the book and the key to the protagonist’s transcendence in the Late Stage.

Let me mention a few unfilled plot holes.

Who is the purple-haired girl?

What grudges does the Demon Lord have with the protagonist?

Why can the heavenly dao bead help the protagonist achieve Immortal Ascension?

Why was the Reincarnation Immortal Emperor suppressed?

Why can’t the protagonist improve his cultivation without Luck?

These, I will leave for now...

I will present them in a better way in the future. I hope that in the vast sea of books, you and I will meet again.

I found that after becoming a writer, my perspective is different from when I used to read books.

In the past, when I read villain novels, I hated the ”Luck” protection the most...

Now I finally understand that without a protection mechanism, the author has nothing to write about!

You can’t just slap everyone you see, right?

Also, I actually think that the villain novels everyone (including me) likes to read don’t fit the underlying logic...

If the protagonist is so easily taken down by you, can they still be considered a protagonist?

Since they are the protagonist, it’s not unreasonable for them to have a Rebirth or something, right?

Is it unreasonable for them to be invincible after death?

Some people might say they have a System, but where did the System come from? If the System is above the Heavenly Dao, then what do they need you for?

So, don’t use your brain when reading books, and don’t think too much when writing them...

I’m off to write a new book. See you all again when fate permits.
