I AM the Football Star

”Otherwise, how do you explain your shitty performance in the national team? Have you ever delivered any special assist for the Italy National Team?”

”You don’t even assist as well as San Remo’s Morici! You’re just a midfield freeloader! Without a super central forward, you’re just a workhorse player! Do you really deserve six million?”

The war of words began.

Talista is also quite fierce in a verbal confrontation.

Two Inter players kept attacking each other through the media. Though Talista was fighting alone, his personal stats were so dazzling that he feared no comparison.

Having spoken of the top five teams, Serie A’s sixth-place Lazio and seventh-place Naples, both are in the European competition zone.

It’s a pity for Lazio, who were once in the league’s top four or even top three. But after being knocked out of the Europa League, they were repeatedly crushed by San Remo, their squad was completely demoralized, and the coach was dismissed.

They plummeted and nearly fell out of the European competition zone.

The eighth-place Atlanta had a slightly unfortunate season, but theoretically, they also have a chance to enter European competition.

If this year AC Milan and San Remo, who fought their way into European competition finals, both win their competitions, then next year’s Europa League spots for Serie A will set a historical record.

At that time, Atlanta will also have a chance to make a breakthrough in the Europa League.

Ninth place is led by Candreva’s Udinese, who achieved their best result in recent years, largely due to Candreva’s explosive performance in the second half of the season.

It’s worth mentioning that last year’s promoted teams Benevento, Brescia, and Chievo have all managed to secure their footing in Serie A.

Although Chievo was once at the bottom, they ultimately pulled through.

Talista told Inter fans that with me, you play in the Champions League; without me, you’re just fighting relegation, referring to Chievo.

This also made Chievo fans the second group after Inter fans to strongly dislike Talista.

The three teams relegated from Serie A this year are Livorno, Fonoloni, and Pescara.

This actually sends a less optimistic message.

That is, the gap in strength between the tail-end teams in Serie A and the top teams in Serie B has vanished.

Has the level of Serie B improved?

Possibly.

But a bigger possibility is that the overall level of Serie A is declining.

Although the strength of the top seven or eight teams remains strong, ranking in the upper-middle among the Five Major Leagues, the mid-to-lower teams of Serie A may not even rank middle-to-lower among the Five Major Leagues but are rather at rock bottom.

Even some of Serie A’s grand clubs are only in name but not in performance.

Aside from AC Milan, even the Serie A dominator Juventus does not stand out among the top teams.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and the Premier League’s top four have far better performances in European competitions than Juventus.

The only silver lining is that, at such a time, San Remo has risen suddenly, joining the ranks of powerful European teams.

This has greatly brightened Serie A’s image, thus covering up the awkwardness of its overall strength decline.

But this won’t last long.

The temporary glory of Serie A might not be a good thing.

This will simply attract those Golden Yuan eyes again, prompting another wave of ”Oh dear, we haven’t extracted everything yet, let’s quickly dig more”!

In this way, Serie A could completely fall.

This day is not far away,

Most Serie A football professionals can actually foresee this result.

On the Serie B side.

San Remo, Bologna, and Sampdoria are the teams promoted to Serie A this year.

Apart from San Remo, both Bologna and Sampdoria were former Serie A teams, with Samp experiencing their first relegation in nearly twenty years last year.

Being able to overpower such teams to win the Serie B title indicates that San Remo’s fighting power is no longer at the level of a relegation-tier Serie A team.

Next season, they are destined to stay in Serie A.

But everyone is curious to know whether San Remo has higher goals.

Because in the past three years, after getting promoted, San Remo has won the title every time!

Can they... once again create miracles against all odds, surpassing the massive strength gap in Serie A, and lift the trophy symbolizing the championship here, breaking Juventus’s monopoly on the league?

A new legend, it seems, is being born.

Next year, it might truly... shake the world!
