I Outworked the Entire Cultivation World

Chapter 107: Chapter 92: Increasing Revenue and Reducing Expenses

[You begin alchemy. Compared to the utterly poor Fire Alchemy Method, your understanding of the Water Alchemy Method is superior, successfully refining three Dust Suppressing Elixirs, Alchemy Skill Level +3]

[Congratulations, your alchemy skills have officially entered the doorway, barely reaching the Ninth-Grade Alchemist level]

In the Quiet Room, Jiang Yuebai opened the Green Frost Cauldron. Inside were three blue elixirs, exactly the Ninth-Grade Lower-Level Dust Suppressing Elixir.

Indeed, as the Immortal Cultivation Panel said, her understanding of the Fire Alchemy Method is not as good as the Water Alchemy Method, mainly because her control over fire is not as good as water.

Ever since she understood Water Generating Ice, and later created Cloud Thunder Break in the Yin Mountain Mine, her understanding and application of water among the Five Elements has far exceeded the other four.

Water Refining like Water Element, emphasizes compliance and integration. Fire Refining like Fire, emphasizes aggressive refining.

Slow Water Refining, Fast Fire Refining, each has its advantages and disadvantages. It’s the characteristics of the Spiritual Medicine that decides whether to use Water Refining or Fire Refining.

A paper crane flew into the Quiet Room, and after Jiang Yuebai finished reading it, she ended her alchemy.

By dusk, in the front hall of the Rice Flower Courtyard, Qii Yue had already brought in Guo Zhen and Shi Xiaowu to wait.

As Jiang Yuebai entered, Guo Zhen handed the ledger to her.

Shi Xiaowu drank some water and said, ”Today’s first harvest, we only supplied three types of Spiritual Vegetables to the Outer Sect food estate of Heavenly Full Peak, earning fifteen hundred sixty-three Low-Grade Spirit Stones.”

”Excluding the expenses for the seeds of these three types of Spiritual Vegetables, puppet-related expenses, labor costs, loss during harvest transportation, and miscellaneous expenses like food estate tips, the net profit is seven hundred twenty-two Low-Grade Spirit Stones.”

Jiang Yuebai paused; she hadn’t finished reading the items on her ledger, but Shi Xiaowu had already calculated the total. She checked several times herself, and it was correct.

Jiang Yuebai asked Guo Zhen, ”Was this ledger recorded by Xiaowu?”

Guo Zhen shook his head, ”I recorded it.”

After speaking, Guo Zhen looked at Shi Xiaowu in surprise, ”Since when did you become so good at calculations?”

Shi Xiaowu raised his eyebrows proudly, ”You never paid attention! You always say I’m good-for-nothing and useless, but actually, I’m quite clever.”

Jiang Yuebai smiled, ”Brother Guo, let Xiaowu keep the ledger in the future, and you just need to review it. Of the spirit stones earned today, both you and Xiao Wu and Qii Yue will get twenty each as a bonus. Half of the remainder goes to the Woodworking Institute and Yun Shang over there, the other half continues to purchase Spiritual Fish and Birds.”

”Currently, eighty percent of the Spiritual Vegetables are not mature, and aquatic and poultry stocks are also not harvested. We must keep up with puppet and Spiritual Insect counts to ensure long-term, more profitable spirit stones. Advise Brother Tang not to skimp; his several improvements to the puppet are quite useful.”

”Qi Cultivation Disciples are only slightly better than mortals; they still can’t avoid the need for food. As long as Heavenly Interence Sect continues to recruit new disciples, we won’t worry about selling our products.”

Guo Zhen scratched his head, ”I got it, Junior Sister Jiang rest assured. Also, Junior Sister Jiang, can I rent a hundred acres of land in Huaxi Valley to grow some things and use the puppets?”

”Of course you can, Brother Guo. Xiaowu and Qii Yue, whenever you need, you can rent Spiritual Fields and Planting Puppets, but we still have to account clearly; Sect-required rent cannot be lessened, and you cannot refuse the salary I offer for your help.”

Shi Xiaowu beamed with joy, and Qii Yue also looked excited beside him.

Guo Zhen nodded bashfully, ”Alright, thank you, Junior Sister Jiang.”

Qii Yue escorted Guo Zhen and Shi Xiaowu away, and Jiang Yuebai prepared to head to the Inner Affairs Hall.

When she reached the doorway, she saw Qii Yue hesitated to speak.

”What’s wrong? Speak directly.”

With that, Qii Yue fell to his knees before Jiang Yuebai, ”I want to ask Senior Sister Jiang to teach me the Puppetry Path.”

”Stand up and speak; for any matter in the future, don’t kneel, I dislike it.”

Jiang Yuebai pulled Qii Yue up, who thanked her in fear.

”Rather than the Puppetry Path, you’re more interested in learning Divine Mechanism Stone manufacturing, aren’t you?” 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Jiang Yuebai confronted directly, and though Qii Yue’s face flushed, he did not deny it.

”Yes, to be honest, Senior Sister Jiang, I’ve been to the Woodworking Institute many times. Those planting puppets seem complex, but they are not the key. The Divine Mechanism Stone is the most crucial.”

Jiang Yuebai folded her arms complacently, ”Knowing this, do you think I’d teach you? If I taught you, would I not end up destitute under the northwest wind?”

Qii Yue looked into Jiang Yuebai’s eyes earnestly, ”I understand. But I just want to try; without trying, there’s no chance. If I try, maybe... you might agree?”

At that, Jiang Yuebai suddenly recalled the year she met the Green-Clothed Female Immortal, asking her why she ran knowing she couldn’t outrun.

Her response was similar, the mindset the same.

Low-Level Divine Mechanism Stone creation is not a secret, nor the unique technique of Moh Baichun. It’s just Heavenly Interence Sect doesn’t have related texts; buying at Nangu Market with some effort is possible.

Qii Yue coming directly to her felt open and candid, besides, she had already made progress on the alternative to Divine Mechanism Stone.

Some things she can’t hold onto forever.

”Alright, I can teach you; you should understand that mastering this path requires vast spirit stone expenditure, this part I can’t help; you need to find a way yourself.”

Qii Yue was overjoyed, hurriedly bowing, but recalled Jiang Yuebai disliked such acts, he awkwardly stood.

”Qii Yue thanks Senior Sister Jiang, regarding spirit stones, I’ll find a way myself.”

”Hmm, I’ll head to the Inner Affairs Hall and start teaching you upon return.”

Jiang Yuebai controlled her sword out of the valley, heading straight to the Inner Affairs Hall to find Hong Tao.

Ma Feng said the Great Elder of Inner Affairs Hall and stewards were discussing matters, Jiang Yuebai waited a while under a tree in the Inner Affairs Hall courtyard.

After half an hour, Hong Tao walked out with a miscellaneous disciple, his face troubled, instructing the disciple on some errands.

”Master Hong,” Jiang Yuebai saluted, ”Is there a troublesome matter causing such distress?”

Hong Tao nodded, ”It’s the mining issue; you’ve been at the Yin Mountain Mine, should know the veins are no longer abundant. The Sect Master ordered today a reduction in the monthly stipend across the sect; Golden Core Masters and Nascent Soul True Monarchs by half, while you inner and outer disciples are only cut by ten percent; besides, the Inner Affairs Hall must find ways to open source and cut expenses.”

”Cutting expenses is easy; opening source is difficult, Elder Gongsun is worried about this too. After the small competition, discussions with other sects in the Central Plains on exploring the Lost Secret Realm may rise shortly. By the way, what brings you here?”

Jiang Yuebai smiled, ”I want to invite Master to Huaxi Valley for a look, perhaps it’ll aid your concern.”

”The food estate steward from the Outer Sect is a close aide of Elder Gongsun; during discussions earlier, Huaxi Valley was brought up. I’m quite curious how you’ve produced a batch of high-quality Spiritual Vegetables without recruiting even one Spiritual Cultivator, with claims of increased supply in future.”

If it’s true as claimed, with Huaxi Valley’s Spiritual Vegetable supply, prices can drop, thus an expense cut. You must toil, earning spirit stones is essential, but don’t let cultivation lag because of it, losing what’s fundamental isn’t right.

Jiang Yuebai thanked him, ”Thank you for your concern, Master, though I haven’t let farming hinder cultivation. Conversely, I’ve been secluded cultivating, come and see if curious, seeing is believing.”
