Beneath the Red Dragon

”A good life, huh, haha!”

...

The Glory Colosseum in the Royal Capital was designed with a semi-dome structure, with massive stone-carved columns adorned with heroes from stories and legends.

The entire enormous coliseum looked like a giant egg shell with its center hollowed out; its space was large enough to accommodate tens of thousands of spectators.

The all-marble structure made the entire coliseum appear exceptionally solid, with no need to worry about being damaged by the perilous power of those strong gladiators.

Typically, winter coliseums focus mainly on gladiator vs. gladiator combat. However, the current territories of the Golden Empire have virtually no winter; only the Northwest Lands, currently being developed by the Pioneer Corps, experience winter.

Today’s coliseum still opened with battles between beasts and gladiators.

Ancient chariots rolled out one after another from the Peace Gate beneath the coliseum; in the Golden Empire today, these ancient chariots can only be used as props for performances.

The chariots maneuvered around the vast coliseum in a circle; the gladiators on the chariots were bare-chested, revealing their muscular bodies, almost identical to the heroes carved on the columns.

But the glory that gladiators usually earn from the cheers of the coliseum spectators and the various flying handkerchiefs was overshadowed by the presence of those high above.

Because the Revered King of Dragons, the Emperor of the Golden Empire, Karon Gogomola was seated high above at this moment, rarely revealing a different appearance, causing the spectators in the stands to erupt with loud cheers.

Especially those beautiful young girls, their emotions blooming with unprecedented fervor, waving the scarves and handkerchiefs in their hands, cheering toward the high platform.

Even the amplified voice of the goblin announcing the opening on the temporary platform at the center of the gladiatorial arena was drowned out by the spectators’ enthusiastic calls.

Karon had to stand up from the luxurious, spacious high platform, sweeping his steady gaze across the coliseum, extending both hands, slightly pushing down, finally calming the raucous coliseum after another eruptive cheer.

Beside him, Pik Fairy Riven, awakened from her slumber, looked almost unchanged from before, except the Elf Dust behind her had disappeared, seemingly merged into her body, making her skin glow as if adorned with fluorescence.

After Karon sat down, Pik Fairy Riven, grown to a ninety-centimeter stature, could no longer sit on Karon’s shoulder like she used to when with the true form of the Giant Dragon.

So Little Elf Riven had to sit on Karon’s leg, peeling grapes and fruits from the table, feeding them to Karon’s mouth while conversing with Karon, who appeared a bit of a homebody in the eyes of outsiders.

”Although your current appearance is more likable, I still prefer you in your Giant Dragon form,” Riven’s small nose slightly wrinkled, sending a large grape into Karon’s mouth.

”Although I also prefer my original form, the Empire now occasionally needs to see my other side,” Karon said with a slight smile, holding onto the petite yet voluptuous Riven to prevent her twisting body from falling off.

”Then you should get out more, don’t learn from those lazy dragons always sleeping in their lairs,” Riven said discontentedly, ”You’re either so busy it’s dizzy with exhaustion, or sleeping for years at a time. You should learn to enjoy your life; although I know your goals are indeed grand, you shouldn’t ignore the beauty around you for your goals!”

Since returning to the Empire, Karon spent his days digesting the residual power of the Blue Dragon Demon and waiting for the World Tree Ovo to awaken.

The other time was almost entirely spent on handling political duties and studying, even the freshly awakened Riven rarely saw this Ancestral Red Dragon, not surprising that the Little Elf would have complaints.

”Of course, I won’t overlook the journey arriving at the final destination; in fact, I’m enjoying this process,”

Karon extended his hand, gently pinching the Little Elf’s nose, smilingly saying: ”Now, I’m enjoying the moments spent with you!”
