A God Killed Me By Accident, But I Reincarnated As The 4th Son Of The Marquis

”Hah.” Keith took a deep sigh. He sat on one side of the room; the opposite end was Carolyn and the other sugar lovers.

An awkward silence engulfed the room; one side was composed and calm, while the other was irritated. It was expected since Keith ignored the opposing part for a whole hour, sleeping in his bed. Only when the spirits and Eri jumped on him did he wake up.

Sohma sat in the middle as he coughed, “Alright, let’s begin the discussion of the sweets being allowed in the mansion.”

”Is there really a need for this?” Keith sighed. Why was he being put on trial?

”There is!” A thunderous shout came from the other end.

”Fine.”

“Alright!” Carolyn slammed her hand on the table, pointing at Keith, “Keith! How could you do this?! How could you take away our sweets?!” These last few days had been horrible for them.

“Because you guys have been addicted to sweets over these months.” Keith calmly sipped on his coffee, ”Do you not comprehend the amount of sugar you consume in a day?” He could easily recall the intake amount...but he didn’t want to at the same time. He was amazed and horrified.

”Ugh!” Carolyn took a step back, not expecting him to question back. Keith continued to pour gasoline onto the fire, ”I really don’t need to say it. The fact that you’re having withdrawal is a serious issue.” Their reaction to the loss of sugar for a few days proved his point.

”...” One down, and another came up to the plate.

”The only reason why we ate so much was because you consistently baked for us. So this is your fault!” Scarlet interjected. Keith was the one who always made enough sweets. Even when they were low, more sweets kept coming.

”I admit, that was my mistake.” Not being able to consume some desserts and other sugar items made him want it more. However, ”I’m correct in my mistake by banning sugar from this household.” Since he caused this predicament, it was up to him to fix it.

“Ugh!” Finally, the dragon approached the plate, ”If you don’t make sugar, I’m going to whine every day!” If reason won’t work, threats will!

”Guys, aren’t you being unreasonable?” Gabriel and a few others were standing with Sohma as they didn’t know what to do.

”Shh! You wouldn’t understand!” Alfia cried.

”...” You guys are just proving Keith’s point.

”Go ahead.” Keith snorted, ”I have earplugs.” He came prepared; he had Hazel make some plugs to block out sound. That was how he was able to sleep so soundly.

”...”

”Should have gotten these a long time ago.” It would have saved him a lot of trouble.

“To be honest.” Faelyn raised her hand, “I think we’ve been too indulgent.”

“Faelyn?!” Alfia’s eyes widened.

“Sorry, Princess. But when you think about it, Keith is correct. You all been too indulgent on sweets.” Being prim and proper: Faelyn had always valued this.

“You’re all princesses; you should restrain yourselves.” Did they forget who they were? They all had noble/royal blood in them. They had to maintain some sense of decorum. Indulgence would only lead to greed. There was a whole lot of greed here.

“Same.” Sakura and Krystal stood by his side.

“I like sweets, but there are limits.” Moderation; too much of a good thing was bad.

Like that, three people were on Keith’s side, a significant blow to the sweet lover faction. Alfia was the one affected the most by Faelyn’s betrayal!

“Keith, you’re not messing with meat?” Herrick’s eyes narrowed. He was on the sugar-lover side. However, he was more about meat.

“No. But fried food is off the table. Also, a good number of oily things as well. I will cut back on some butter.” Besides sweets, oily things were off. It was similar to sugar in that regard.

”But you will bring it back, right?” Melor added.

”Yeah.”

“Okay!” The lion and dwarf joined his side.

“What?!”

”As long as Keith doesn’t mess with meat, I don’t care.”

”His food is delicious as well.” The last few days, Keith made dishes with less oil, and they were tasty. If it was like this every day, they were fine.

The two were not sweet enjoyers like Carolyn and the others; they were meat lovers. They were fine as long as the meat wasn’t affected or they got Keith’s guarantee, which they had already done.

”We need it to build muscles.”

”...” The sweet lovers had overlooked this: Herrick and Melor always strive for a stronger body. Of course, they would side with Keith!

But there was another unlikely joiner.

“Udine! Why are you going to that side?!” That was totally unexpected; the great spirit of water was a sweet lover.

“I like sweets, but I like fruit sweets.” There was a difference; chocolate and processed sugars were lovely. But she preferred fruit sweets more.

Keith only cut out sugar sweets, not fruit sweets.

”...” The sweet faction’s morale dropped. Keith snorted confidently, ”Looks like you guys are gone.”

Cadmus shouted, “There’s no way I’m giving up my sweets!” He refused to lower it. But Sohma sighed. You’re going to die on that hill, huh?
