Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Why Does It Have a Sweet Aftertaste?

”Don’t worry, Cedric is fine. Madam Pomfrey said he’ll be out of the hospital by tomorrow morning.”

As soon as they got back to the Hufflepuff common room, Kael announced the good news right away.

The little badgers hadn’t gone anywhere after leaving the hospital wing; they stayed here waiting, and the Quidditch players came too, but their expressions didn’t look good.

The Seeker Cedric getting injured and leaving the game was a huge blow to the team’s morale. Even though a substitute took over the Chaser position in the end, they still lost, 60 to 220, lagging behind by 160 points.

Fortunately, Cedric’s condition wasn’t serious in the end, which was considered good news.

Beater Jazer said with relief, ”If that’s the case, he can still make it to the afternoon practice.”

Jazer was a seventh-year student, and his greatest wish was to bring a Quidditch Cup back to Hufflepuff before graduating.

”Damn it.” Captain Harris angrily punched the wall, saying, ”We can’t just let this go.”

”Right, this must be addressed,” someone said indignantly. ”Those Slytherins dare to blatantly attack our Seeker, it’s clear they don’t respect you as the captain, and I can’t stand it!”

”Captain,” someone said in a low voice, ”I’ve heard that some Slytherin players will be going to Hogsmeade tomorrow. Maybe we can...”

”Shut up, Onli.” Harris turned around, glaring at him, ”Remember, never lay a hand on Slytherin players. I’ll handle this.”

...

Not far away, Kael, who heard Harris’s words, turned to look at him.

The captain is quite level-headed.

At this moment, it’s indeed not wise to openly cause trouble for Slytherin.

Currently, Hufflepuff’s house points are only about ten points lower than Slytherin’s, a very small margin. If Snape found an opportunity, he wouldn’t hesitate to deduct a hundred points from Hufflepuff.

Of course, if losing a hundred points could vent their anger by hitting them, it wouldn’t matter much. Hufflepuff doesn’t care about that.

But the fear is failing to land a hit and losing points, that would be frustrating.

And there’s quite a possibility of that happening.

Kael speculated that a certain professor might be closely monitoring them, perhaps even leaking the news of Slytherin players going to Hogsmeade.

Kael shook his head and stopped listening, called over Mikel and Ryan, and the three of them returned to the dormitory together.

”Kael, can’t we discuss this outside?” Mikel, who was just talking with others about Quidditch, was a bit reluctant to be called back to the dormitory suddenly by Kael.

He looked at the Wimbourne Wasps poster by Kael’s bed, saying somewhat wistfully, ”I just realized Quidditch is so interesting. It’s a pity first-years aren’t allowed to join the team. Next year, I’m definitely signing up. How about you guys, do you want to join too?”

After speaking, Mikel closed his eyes, enjoying the fantasy of soaring on a broom over the Quidditch Pitch, catching the Golden Snitch, surrounded by deafening cheers, everyone screaming his name.

The feeling is so great...

”Wake up, sleep later!”

Just then, a cold voice mercilessly pulled him out of his dream.

”We’ll talk about Quidditch next year. You have something more important now.”

After Mikel opened his eyes, Kael handed over a bottle of blue magic potion, ”Mikel, time for your medicine.”

Seeing the Demon Suppression Potion, Mikel’s smile instantly faded.

”No way, I just took some a few days ago!” Mikel confidently asserted.

”Sixty days ago?” Kael asked, ”You should know it’s once every two months, right?”

”Has it been two months already? So fast!” Mikel was still a bit incredulous.

The memory of that disgusting taste was so vivid, it felt like just yesterday.

”Did you forget?”

Ryan quietly reminded from the side, ”Halloween was just a couple of days ago.”

With that reminder, Mikel quickly faced reality.

Yeah, Halloween passed, so it has indeed been two months.

”Alright, you’re right.” Mikel said evasively, ”But I still have something to do. Just leave it on the desk, I’ll take it when I get back tonight.”

”Okay, make sure you don’t forget.” Kael placed the Demon Suppression Potion on the desk.

Mikel visibly breathed a sigh of relief after seeing that, ”Don’t worry, I won’t forget. I’ll head to the library to do my homework now, see you tonight.”

After saying that, he was about to leave.

Behind him, Kael silently took out his wand.

”Incarcerous.”

A thick rope shot out from the tip of the wand, tightly binding Mikel.

”What are you doing, what are you doing!”

Mikel struggled desperately, but it was all in vain. He could only watch as Kael approached with the Demon Suppression Potion.

”Don’t come near, don’t come near!”

”Don’t blame me. I feel sorry too,” Kael said sincerely as he walked up to him, ”but I can’t help it. Headmaster Dumbledore assigned me this task, and I have to complete it.”

”I’m fine, really.”

Mikel tried to explain quickly, ”Professor Sprout said my progress is fast, and I definitely won’t have any more accidents like before.”

”That was the Lighting Spell. We’ve now learned the Levitating Spells.”

”Then can I not use the wand!” Mikel continued to struggle, ”Without using a wand, it should be fine, right?”

Kael shook his head.

A Charm class without using a wand is like playing Quidditch without a broom.

Kael gave Ryan a look, who immediately understood, rolling up his sleeves and coming over.

With their teamwork, they fed the Demon Suppression Potion to Mikel effortlessly, without wasting a drop.

Ryan, holding the empty bottle, curiously asked, ”What exactly is this?”

”Demon Suppression Potion, a very precious magic potion.”

”Precious?”

”Yes.”

Kael thought for a moment, ”Let’s put it this way, if not at Hogwarts, buying this kind of potion would cost at least fifty Galleons, and that’s for the lowest quality.”

”Fifty Galleons!!”

Ryan swallowed nervously. Wow, his wand only cost seven Galleons, and this single bottle of potion could buy seven wands?

”However, the one just now was personally brewed by Professor Snape.” Kael continued, ”A Potion Master like his work, if sold in Diagon Alley, would at least double in price, which is about a hundred Galleons.”

This time, even Mikel, who was pretending to lie on the ground like a salted fish, sat up when he heard the number.

He just drank something worth a hundred Galleons?

Mikel licked his lips, feeling a hint of aftertaste.
