Chapter 2553: Building a Grand Tomb for Oneself

According to the Celestial Thearch’s explanation and speculation, given the size of the Limitless Demon Sect, it was practically impossible for them to completely restore the entire ‘Netherworld Realm’ into a Devil Nation. Their aim seemed to be taking advantage of the ‘Netherworld Realm’ being ownerless at the moment to carve out a small ‘Devil Nation’ within it for their grand plan.’

It’s safe to say that if the ‘Devil Nation’ were to be established, the Limitless Demon Sect would undoubtedly reap substantial benefits. Perhaps their overall power could be elevated by a significant notch. However, the members of the Limitless Demon Sect could never have anticipated that there were, in fact, two rulers of the Netherworld.

Reality always had a harsh and tear-inducing side.

The fat ball had vanished, but Senior White Two remained. Moreover, lurking in the shadows were a few former rulers of the Netherworld, including Senior Scabbers Dragon and Senior Three-Eyed.

So, regardless of what the grand plan of the Limitless Demon Sect was, it had already fallen apart before it could even begin.

“Nevertheless, just to be on the safe side, it’s better to report this to Senior White Two.” Song Shuhang thought to himself.

Caution was of paramount importance. A thousand-mile dike could crumble from an ant’s nest.

Song Shuhang extended his hand and opened a private chat with Senior White Two, conveying the Celestial Thearch’s research and speculations about the ‘Devil Nation,’ as well as the plans of the Limitless Demon Sect. Senior White Two took a while to respond. “Hmm? Is it morning?”

“Senior White, are you sleeping?” Song Shuhang inquired, puzzled.

“Yes… Lately, I’ve been feeling occasional bouts of sleepiness, and they’ve been much stronger than before. It’s still pitch dark outside!” Senior White Two replied.

Song Shuhang was rendered speechless.

Wasn’t the Netherworld Realm perpetually shrouded in darkness? Moreover, Senior White had been experiencing drowsiness lately?

Could it be related to the upheaval in the Heavenly Dao?

“You’ve sent quite a bit of information over? I’ll go through the research materials I obtained from the Demon Emperor later. Also, this information about the Devil Nation is rather intriguing. I’ll keep an eye on developments in this area. If you come across any new information about the Devil Nation, please send it to me.” Senior White Two responded.

Song Shuhang nodded and replied, “No problem.”

“Then that’s it… I need to catch up on my sleep. If you send me a message and I don’t respond right away, contact Little Sun T233.” Senior White Two yawned and continued.

“Senior White… Are you alright? Will the upheaval in the Heavenly Dao affect you?” Song Shuhang couldn’t help but inquire.

“Don’t worry. At least until the next Heavenly Axiom ascends, there shouldn’t be any issues on my end.” Senior White Two replied with confidence.

Upon hearing this, Song Shuhang felt somewhat reassured, though not entirely.

At Spirit Butterfly Island, the Celestial Thearch furrowed her brows, lightly tapping her finger on the table, leaving a small dent.

It seemed that Song Shuhang had suddenly relaxed during their conversation, which wasn’t what she had anticipated. If she didn’t lure Song Shuhang away, she would have a headache during the upcoming incident on the mysterious island.

Just as she was lost in thought, Song Shuhang sent her a new message, “If someone actually succeeds in establishing a small ‘devil country’ in the

Netherworld Realm, would it bring about any changes in the main world?”

“Certainly. If the Devil Nation were truly established, the power of the Devil Nation would extend into the present world, inevitably causing upheaval in the present world. The one who establishes the Devil Nation might gain certain benefits, but for the Tribulation Transcenders of the main world, this would be unfavorable.” replied the Celestial Thearch.

Song Shuhang inquired, “The Tribulation Transcender’s Thousand Tribulations?”

“Yes,” the Celestial Thearch leaned back in her chair and explained, “1 possess some fragmented information that records details from the ancient era. When the Netherworld Realm was known as the Devil Sea Realm, reaching the Tribulation Transcender realm would subject one to a fatal tribulation. Surviving the death tribulation would lead to a significant boost in strength and longevity. However, failure would result in the Tribulation Transcender’s consciousness being wiped out, and their body being possessed by the power of the Devil Sea, giving rise to an ancient devil that would enter the Devil Nation.”

She didn’t withhold this information from Song Shuhang, but she cautioned that the information in her possession was incomplete. Therefore, most of the details in her response were her own interpretations, and she couldn’t guarantee their accuracy.

“This is also why, in the ancient era, Tribulation Transcenders would prepare tombs for themselves in advance. These grand tombs of the ancient era were constructed in anticipation of the death tribulation. Succeeding in transcending the tribulation would greatly enhance their cultivation and lifespan. If they failed the Death Tribulation, their tomb could be used to seal their body, preventing them from becoming a demon and wreaking havoc on the world,” added the Celestial Thearch.

“You mean building a tomb for oneself while still alive?” Song Shuhang couldn’t help but think of the inheritance of the ‘Nine Virtues Phoenix Saber.’

Each wielder of the Nine Virtues Phoenix Saber had to construct a tomb for themselves during their lifetime, leaving behind their legacy. The next generation Numerics Cultivators would inherit the legacy from the tomb of the previous generation Numerics Cultivator and sign their names on the contract.

Previously, he had considered it merely a peculiar ritual of the ‘number cultivator.’

However, after listening to the Celestial Thearch’s explanation today, he somehow connected the dots between the two concepts.

Song Shuhang pulled up his friends list in the ‘cultivation chat’ and clicked on ‘Little Scabber,’ sending a message: “Senior Striped Dragon, is the inheritance of the Nine Phoenix Saber related to the tradition of the ‘great tomb of the Tribulation Transcender’?”

“l don’t know,” Senior Striped Dragon Two replied lazily. “The individual I corresponded with never mentioned anything about the ‘Nine Virtues Phoenix Saber.’ I’m also clueless about how it escaped the Wielder of the Will’s position. ”

Ever since it learned that Song Shuhang had inherited the daoist name ‘Cheng

Lin’ and was also the successor of the ‘Number Cultivator,’ its attitude towards Song Shuhang, a human who didn’t conform to its aesthetic standards, had improved significantly.

“However… That individual’s seemingly meaningless actions often concealed deeper meanings. Since the inheritance of the ‘Nine Virtues Phoenix Saber’ involves ‘digital cultivators’ building tombs for themselves, it’s advisable to make preparations in advance. There must be important information hidden within this practice.” Senior Striped Dragon Two unusually offered some advice to Song Shuhang.

“For oneself, constructing a grand tomb?” Song Shuhang muttered while looking down at his companion—Fellow Daoist Stone Tablet hanging from his waist. If he were to construct a tomb, at least he could save on the tombstone.

“Have you finished your conversation with the esteemed senior, Senior Song?” Feather asked.

“Alright,” Song Shuhang nodded. “I’ve gathered most of the information I wanted.’

Su Clan’s Sixteen turned to him and inquired, “What’s this about building a tomb?”

“l just consulted another senior. They suggested that I should prepare to build a tomb for myself in advance, as it might yield some benefits,” Song Shuhang explained.

At this point, he suddenly thought of something and added, “Sixteen, would you like to join me in building a grand tomb?”

After all, Sixteen had numerous ‘Little Sixteen’ crystal coffins to handle.

“Building a tomb together?” Su Clan’s Sixteen’s face turned red, and she vigorously pulled the White Dragon up with her small hand.

The White Dragon was left speechless..
