Living In Another World With A Farm

It could be said that this war had come and gone quickly. The Army of 100000 had entered the desert like a drop of water in the sand. They had disappeared without any reaction.

During the battle at the front, the villages in the desert were not idle. The bottle tree and the herdsman had been planted before the first rain. The patriarch grass did not need to be managed by the botanist, but the bottle tree did not. Every bottle tree that was planted had to be activated by the botanist, so the villages were very busy.

Finally, before the arrival of the first rain, all the villages in the desert had planted the bottle trees and pastures that they needed to plant. After the first rain, the villages found that the pastures they had planted had already sprouted. At the sight of the green grass sprouts, the entire Desert Burst into cheers.

The bottle tree had absorbed a lot of water in the rain, but it was not full yet. There was nothing that could be done about it. The current bottle tree was much bigger than the one Zhao Hai used. The amount of water it could hold was about five times that of the first batch of bottle trees. The thickest part of the tree was already 20 to 30 meters in diameter. This was also why Zhao Hai said that if the bottle trees were cut down, they could be made into houses.

In the rainy season of the following two months, the newly planted pastures had grown up to half a meter in height. Meanwhile, the pastures had begun to bear seeds. The bottle trees had also been filled with water. People in the desert were also in ecstasy because the area of the Oasis where they were located had become larger than before.

Even those villages without botanists had obtained some pasture seeds. As they did not have botanists to help them activate the bottle tree, they could only plant pasture. Although the pasture could not live as long as those villages with the bottle tree, it gave those villages hope. Even without the bottle tree, the pasture could live for about four to five months. Before the grass completely withered, they could cut it down and store it to raise some animals.

They didn’t have to worry about the reproduction of the pasture, because the pasture could bear seeds two to three times in these four to five months. So when they cut the grass, many grass seeds had already fallen to the ground. When the rainy season came the next day, those grass seeds could still grow pasture. Even without the bottle tree, they could still change their living environment.

Two months later, the rainy season had passed. The entire desert gradually calmed down from its ecstasy. People began to worry about the grass they had planted. They didn’t know how long the grass could last. It could be said that after the rainy season, it would be the real test of Zhao Hai’s plan to change the desert environment and whether it would succeed.

When they were free, people in the desert would stare at the newly grown grass. Once they found that the grass had been seeded, except for the first batch of grass seeds, which fell to the ground on their own, they would put away the rest of the grass seeds and preserve them carefully. They were even more important than grains because these small grass seeds were their hope, the hope of the entire desert. Although they were small, they could turn the desert into an oasis and the dead into heaven!
