The Academy’s Deceased Ate It All

In the past, monsters appeared suddenly in this world.

That was followed by the emergence of heterogeneous beings such as heroes, magic, and spirits, and the world underwent a tremendous change.

In the midst of such a rapid wave of change, many countries and companies seemed to be unable to adapt and were swept away, but there were also rare but not unheard of cases where they seized the opportunity and emerged.

One of such cases was the Lee Won Group, which is currently one of the leading companies in Korea.

And from a broader perspective, the Naseong group, which quickly attached itself to such Lee Won group and was happy to be in the position of a subcontractor, was another such case.

“Okay.”

A boy raised his chin and scratched it as if he wasn’t interested.

In front of him, a boy bowed his head as if he was cowering.

“If you have something to say, say it.”

“Tha, that… .”

In a way, the relationship between Ahn Do-Hoon, the heir of the Lee Won Group, and Na Il-Jun, the heir of the Naesung Group, who was cowering in front of such Ahn Do-Hoon, could be considered natural.

However, anyone who knew the two at least a little would have known well.

Even if you simply take off the title of the heir of any group, Ahn Do-Hoon was a ruler who was born with it, while Na Il-Jun was someone who could not reach even Ahn Do-Hoon’s toes even if he died and was reborn a number of times.

Talent, qualification, ability, military prowess, personality, head, even appearance.

There was nothing that Na Il-Jun could beat Ahn Do-Hoon.

“I know very well that you have been a dog’s ass, selling fights from place to place without knowing the subject. I can hear it even if I don’t want to.”

Eyes that have the same deep blue hue as his bluish hair.

It was already a well-known fact that all of his relatives were born with such hair and eyes.

And among the bloodlines of the Ahn family, Ahn Do-Hoon had inherited various temperaments from his great-grandfather to the extent that it stood out.

One of them was the gaze that made others discouraged just by looking at them.

And under Ahn Do-Hoon’s cold gaze, Na Il-Jun felt a chill as if he were thrown naked into the Arctic.

“So, that’s. I was just trying to get rid of those cocky bastards… .”

“Just look at what he’s saying. How cocky.”

At Na Il-Jun’s excuse, one of the female students who was next to Ahn Do-Hoon imitated him and snorted.

Then, the other five or six students who had gathered there followed suit, each bursting into laughter.

Na Il-Jun’s face turned red with anger and embarrassment at their mocking attitude, but he just kept his head down in silence.

This was because, in Na Il-Jun’s mind, Ahn Do-Hoon and his ‘friends’ were people far above him.

“Il-Jun, Il-Jun. You bastard don’t even know the subject. This is when the word cocky is used.”

Another round of laughter erupted at the grunting of a male student who stood near Ahn Do-Hoon as if he was his bodyguard.

Then, Ahn Do-Hoon raised his hand slightly as if to be quiet.

Then, as if it were a lie, everyone instantly stopped speaking, and only an awkward silence filled the room.

.

“I definitely said I wouldn’t care much about you selling my name.”

“Uh, uh… .”

There was no way he couldn’t remember.

It was because he still vividly remember the words Ahn Do-Hoon when Na Il-Jun was accepted as his own person, that if he crossed the line once, he would receive an unforgettable sanction.

“But I don’t think I even said it was okay to make a fool out of you.”

Na Il-Jun was well aware of the things that Ahn Do-Hoon valued the most.

It was his own face and the abilities of others.

Ahn Do-Hoon did not forgive anyone if they made him lose his face, even if they were his own relative, but if they had the ability, he would accept it, even if he lost face.

And Na Il-Jun made Ahn Do-Hoon lose his face, and in Ahn Do-Hoon’s eyes, he was not perceived as capable.

It was literally the worst.

‘Fuck… really.’

Why the hell did it go like this?

Looking at the situation, it seemed that he had been caught selling out Ahn Do-Hoon’s name to people in similar situations to himself.

There was also a problem that he was defeated in the class for selecting an advisor.

He must have used a trick, but it didn’t change the fact that he had lost to a guy with an E rank.

Seeing that the eyes of the people around him were full of contempt and ridicule, it seemed as if that fact had already spread for a long time.

‘Fuck, fuck… !’

Even in this situation, Na Il-jun’s mind was filled with thoughts of the three people who had put him through this.

In particular, Yoo Ji-Hyuk’s face stood out clearly.

‘You’ll see, you bastard… ! How dare you embarrass me like this?’

“… .”

Ahn Do-Hoon, who had been watching Na Il-Jun, nodded as if he was about to open his mouth.

Then the people around him waited for him to open his mouth, as if they were waiting for a judge to say something before passing judgment.

“I’ll give you one more chance.”

Ahn Do-Hoon muttered in a relaxed tone.

The faces of the students around him took on a look of surprise, and Na-Il-Jun smiled uneasily at his words.

“I heard that classes will be held in a model dungeon soon, and the terrain for the first class has been decided to be a cave.”

Ahn Do-Hoon said so and looked at Na Il-Joon.

“If I have told you this much, even you would have understood, right?”

“Of, of course.”

Na Il-Jun shook his head roughly up and down, hoping he wouldn’t change his mind.

“I won’t disappoint you this time. I swear.”

“Okay. That would be nice.”

Saying that, Ahn Do-Hoon roughly waved his hand.

“Then go now.”

“Uh, uh! Okay. Thank you, thank you so much.”

Na Il-Jun nodded his head repeatedly to Ahn Do-Hoon until he disappeared.

No matter how you looked at it, that wasn’t the way he should have acted towards his classmate, but it was natural and something that everyone here, including Ahn Do-Hoon and Na Il-Joon, was used to.

“Do-Hoon. Do you really think you can trust that idiot?”

A male student standing next to Ahn Do-Hoon nodded in response to the female student’s question.

“That’s right. If you have a bastard like that, only you’ll get tired. And if he goes somewhere and says that he’s hanging out with us. I’ll die of embarrassment.”

“Don’t worry.”

Ahn Do-Hoon got up from his seat, dismissing it like that.

“Even a guy like that can be used somewhere.”

* * *

“Haaa… .”

Lunch break.

Choi Hyun-Woo refused to eat his favorite food and buried his face in the table with a sigh.

In the original story, he was always on the weak side in theory classes, and it seems to be the case in this world as well.

‘I’ve been sitting in my seat all morning, just listening to the class, my head hurts.’

And it was the same here.

First aid, Modern history after the Great Cataclysm, Ecology of monsters, Origin of hunters and heroes… .

Except for first aid, everything was unfamiliar.

I felt as if my head spitting as much as Choi Hyun-Woo’s after hours of serious and professional teaching of what could have been dismissed as unpleasant setting in games.

‘I can know the correct answers with the setting book, but this and that are different… .’

Above all, there was no way I could openly take out my cell phone during class.

I should at least buy a watch or electronic dictionary that works with it and use it more comfortably… .

“Oh, right.”

I thought it would be better to say it while I thought of it, so I looked at Choi Hyun-Woo, who still had his head down on the table, and Han Soo-young, who was still reading a thick book as if she wasn’t tired.

“Do you two have time this weekend?”

“Time?”

“Yes.”

Choi Hyun-Woo looked at me with an expectant look in his eyes and asked.

“Do you want to spar?”

“Calm down, man.”

I burst into vain laughter.

“I’m going to buy some things for the weekend. I was going to ask you to go with me if you want.”

“Come on.”

Choi Hyun-Woo buried his head again as if he had lost his energy, and Han Soo-Young thought for a moment and then said to me.

“It’s just the time you entered school, so you may not be able to go out. If it’s not that important, wouldn’t it be better to just ask them to get it from outside?”

“Uh… .”

I stretched my tongue for a while.

It was because she was right.

However, there was no suitable person to ask for.

‘I think Professor Alice will allow me if I talk about the situation well.’

While I was thinking like that, I suddenly saw Han Soo-Young give me a sideways glance, as if she was looking at me.

Then she carefully closed the book she was reading and gently placed it on the table.

“Oh, by the way, Hyun-Woo, didn’t you say you had to buy a new wristband?”

“Oh? Oh, that’s right. Wow, you remembered this.”

“Come to think of it, I needed something, too. So let’s go together.”

“Uh, well… It’s not bad.”

Choi Hyun-Woo, who made eye contact with Han Soo-Young for a moment, immediately nodded.

‘I think you’ve misunderstood something.’

I roughly noticed, but I thought it would cause a bigger misunderstanding by trying to resolve the misunderstanding, and most importantly, I didn’t have the confidence to explain it properly, so I decided to let it go.

And over time, they’ll figure out the misunderstanding.

So, we decided to go out on the weekend if possible.

Of course, if Professor Alice didn’t give her her permission, it would be a bummer, but knowing her, I knew she wouldn’t refuse.

“Then let’s make a detailed plan after getting permission… .”

Honestly, the next story was the main topic, so I straightened out my posture.

Because the monumental first main quest here at Orhe Academy would begin in the very afternoon class when the lunch break was over.

‘Team composition time.’

Clouds on the Horizon could basically be played solo, but in the early and mid-stages of the game, party play was almost forced.

Of course, this was only true inside the academy or due to classes at the academy, but……

‘The most annoying thing is that the first party is random.’

Of course, later on, I could select the party members as I please.

It meant that I could form my own so-called party, but it was still in the distant future.

‘At least for a year or so, I’ll have to be in a party as determined in the next class.’

It was a story from a long time ago, so I didn’t remember the detailed story well.

What was important was the fact that the typical party composition from the clouds on the horizon consisted of three front-liner of a vanguard, knight, and guard, and three back-liner of a sniper, caster, and supporter.

‘I think my role is more like a vanguard or guard.’

To be honest, I was more likely to play the role of a vanguard, a so-called scout and vanguard.

Would it be better to get whatever scouting skills I could later after class?

‘The three classes combined to make up a total of 50 groups, and the main characters were all concentrated in classes A, B, and C… .’

I can’t.

I couldn’t remember the other things.

To be honest, I could only remember the main quest and the main flow of the game, although the details were hazy.

This was because each character had a different story, and there were six playable characters who were currently in their first year.

No matter how long you had played a game, it would naturally fade after 10 years.

I muttered inwardly, quenching my throat with the soda that had now become bland.

‘Well… It’ll work out somehow. If I’m nervous, it’s only my loss.’

Frankly speaking, I was confident that I could pull it off, no matter what form the main story took.

I just hoped that the party members I had to spend a year with were people with decent humanity.

Because honestly, there was nothing more important in a group class than the team members.
