Re-Awakened :I Ascend as an SSS-Ranked Dragon Summoner

Lucas squared off against the two-horned Harbinger, lightning sparking along his fingertips. He narrowed his eyes as the towering figure move. Without hesitation, Lucas thrust his hand forward, launching a crackling lightning bolt straight at the Harbinger’s chest. The impact sent the creature skidding backward, its clawed feet digging deep trenches into the earth as it fought to maintain its balance.

But the Harbinger wasn’t one to falter for long. It spun sharply, its horns gleaming in the faint light, and stomped the ground with enough force to crack it beneath its weight. The motion flowed into a devastating reverse punch, its fist connecting with Lucas just as the latter lunged to follow up his attack. The blow caught Lucas square in the side, sending him hurtling through the air like a ragdoll. He hit the ground several meters back, rolling before finally coming to a stop, one hand clutching his ribs.

The Harbinger straightened, its voice deep and laced with disdain. ”I grow tired of this pestilence. It is time to end this, once and for all.”

Just as it stepped forward, ready to deliver the killing blow, a faint whistle pierced the air. The sound was subtle at first but quickly grew louder, accompanied by an eerie screech. The Harbinger froze, its head tilting slightly as it scanned the horizon. A red mist began to roll in like an unstoppable storm, creeping closer and swallowing the battlefield in its ominous embrace.

From the heart of the mist came a deafening roar, a primal sound so powerful that it seemed to shake the ground beneath them. The Harbinger turned toward the source, its stance shifting defensively, but it was already too late. A Red blur tore through the mist with terrifying speed. Nyx, his massive frame wreathed in fury, descended from above and slammed into the Harbinger with an earth-shattering impact.

The force of the collision created a massive crater, its edges jagged and uneven, stretching wide enough to fit a dozen school buses side by side. The Harbinger’s body was driven deep into the center of the pit, dust and debris exploding outward in a choking cloud. Nyx let out another roar, her eyes blazing with raw rage as she stood over her prey, daring it to rise again.

The Harbinger rose slowly, its immense frame battered and bleeding, deep blackish red rivulets running down its rhino-like muscles and over its thick, armored scales. Its eight-foot form stood unwavering, tail swishing behind it like a whip as it assessed the new threat before it.

Something bad changed about the expression on the monster’s face. Seeing the aura that Nyx exuded as it landed confidently, the Harbinger’s fist folded, ready for a fight.

Nyx stood with his wings folded neatly against his sides, his red scales shimmering faintly as fumes drifted ominously from his flared nostrils. The red dragon was poised, his golden eyes locked onto the Harbinger with an intensity that promised devastation.

A sudden screech cut through the mist-filled air. Without hesitation, the Harbinger swung its muscular tail behind, the resulting sound of the strike was a thunderous crack as the tail met whatever was coming from the two horned back.

Yet, its expression shifted as it felt resistance where there should have been none. It turned to see what exactly it was that it countered.

Lucas was there, his form crackling with lightning energy, one hand gripping the Harbinger’s tail firmly. Although the former wanted to go for a surprise attack, he got countered but managed to salvage the situation bh holding onto the Harbinger’s tail.

Though, the e force of the catch reverberated through the air, as if the very atmosphere had acknowledged his sheer power. Holding the tail in a vice-like grip, he planted his feet and sneered.

At the same moment, Nyx began to move. The dragon’s chest expanded as a faint red glow pulsed to life along his belly, steadily intensifying. The light spread, illuminating the swirling mist like a beacon, growing so radiant it seemed to make the air hum.

The glow built to a fever pitch, and then—like a dam bursting under impossible pressure—Nyx unleashed his fury. A devastating blast of concentrated red energy tore forth from the dragon’s maw, not fire, not lava, but a raw, destructive force that bent the very air around it as it barreled toward the Harbinger.

Lucas’s eyes widened seeing the inferno storm approaching .

Even in his soul awakening-empowered state, he knew the blast would obliterate anything caught in its path. Without a moment’s hesitation, he released the Harbinger’s tail and launched himself upward with a thunderous thrust, narrowly escaping the deadly torrent.

The ground shook violently as the inferno storm engulfed the area, the energy blast igniting everything it touched. Flames roared to life, merging with Nyx’s mist and forming a hellish veil of red and black smoke that consumed the battlefield.

Hovering above the chaos, Lucas strained his eyes to see through the haze. But all he could make out was a mass of swirling mist and dark plumes. Nyx’s devastating attack had turned the ground into a blazing inferno, leaving no clear sign of the Harbinger.

Then, from the depths of the mist, something massive began to move. The Harbinger’s silhouette emerged, its enormous form dwarfed by Nyx but still fearsome and unyielding. Before Lucas could react, the Harbinger leaped—fifteen feet into the air with terrifying speed.

Then it began descending like a falling star. On its descent, the Harbinger slammed both fists down onto Nyx’s back. The impact was cataclysmic. Nyx roared in pain as the force drove him straight into the ground, leaving another massive crater, this one large enough to swallow an entire football field.

The ground cracked and buckled under the weight of the blow gave away the sheer brutality of the Harbinger’s counterattack. Dust, mist, and flames mingled in a chaotic storm around the scene, leaving Lucas to watch, his lightning crackling faintly in the ominous silence that followed.

Meanwhile, Noah sprinted through the mist-shrouded battlefield, his body thrumming with adrenaline and residual excitement from defeating his own one-horned Harbinger. But his excitement faded when he heard a loud bang from afar and following it was a sharp ping. The alert was abrupt and chilling, cutting through his focus.

[Nyx has sustained a devastating blow. Current status: Critical. Immediate intervention is advised.]

Noah’s jaw clenched, his heart pounding in his chest as the words lingered in his thoughts. His eyes narrowed, and his pace quickened, boots pounding against the scorched earth beneath him.

’Damn it, Nyx. Hang on!’ he thought, his fists tightening. Nyx had handled the one horned quicker than even he did. But eventually, the dragon was still fairly inexperienced, young and not even at full power. The power gap between a one horned Harbinger and a two horned Harbinger was like academy players and a pro player.

The ground trembled faintly beneath his feet, a telltale sign of the ongoing clash. Noah knew he had little time to waste. He had already fought tooth and nail to bring down his own Harbinger, but the thought of losing Nyx spurred him forward, his resolve hardening with every step.

The fiery glow of Nyx’s earlier energy blast still lingered in the distance like a beacon guiding him closer. As he neared the scene, the system message came in again.

[System Update: Nyx’s recovery rate compromised. Multiple external factors detected. Host intervention may alter the outcome.]

Noah snarled, pushing himself even harder. ”You think I don’t know that already? I’m coming. Just hold on a little longer.”

The mist continued to thin as Noah skidded to a halt at the battlefield’s edge. His eyes locked onto the devastating scene—Nyx laying sprawled in a crater so vast it could swallow a football field. His massive chest rose and fell in pained intervals, fumes trickling from his nose like dying embers.

Above him, the two-horned Harbinger stood like an apex predator claiming its prey. Blood seeped from the gashes covering its rhino-like musculature, dripping onto the charred ground. Despite its injuries, the Harbinger’s terrifying aura remained unyielding, its tail flicking behind it with restrained power.

Without warning, the Harbinger roared and slammed a massive fist straight down onto Nyx’s side.

*BOOM!*

The ground quaked beneath the impact, the shockwave rippling through the already fractured battlefield. Nyx groaned, his claws scraping feebly against the earth as his wings twitched in agony.

The Harbinger raised its other fist and brought it down again with unrelenting force.

*BOOM!*

A low growl escaping the dragon’s throat as dirt and debris shot upward from the sheer force of the blow.

The Harbinger wasn’t done. It pulled its arm back once more, muscles rippling like steel cords beneath its thick scales, and unleashed a final, thunderous punch directly into Nyx’s chest.

*BOOM!!*

The impact sent a deafening crack through the air, the crater beneath Nyx deepening even further as the red dragon’s form sagged under the pressure. Smoke and dust erupted from the ground, momentarily obscuring the Harbinger’s looming figure.

”No!” Noah bellowed.

Lucas moved first, his body glowing with lightning energy as he summoned three lightning rods. Each crackled with electric fury as he hurled them one after another at the Harbinger. The towering beast moved swiftly, sidestepping the first, ducking under the second, and leaping back to avoid the third.

Lucas took advantage of the opening, launching himself through the air and slamming into the Harbinger with full force, driving it into the ground. The impact sent tremors through the battlefield, and Lucas wasted no time closing the distance, his fists sparking with energy to deal more damage but Noah beat him to the mark.

Before the Harbinger could recover, a streak of purplish energy flashed behind it. Noah emerged from the shadows using Void Blink. His dark eclipse blade slicing down in a precise arc. The weapon sank into the Harbinger’s left eye with a sickening squelch.

The Harbinger roared in agony, its massive body trembling as it stumbled back. The wounds Nyx had inflicted earlier began to close, but the injury to its eye showed no sign of healing. The beast’s remaining good eye locked onto Noah, who stood with his blade raised, purple-dark energy radiating from him.

Noah’s voice erupted in anger, ”What did you do to my dragon?!” His steps were firm as he charged forward, bringing his blade in a wide swing aimed at the Harbinger’s neck.

The Harbinger flinched, recognizing the weapon as a real threat. It ducked the swing and retaliated in a blur of power. A white horizontal streak seemed to ripple through the air, and before Noah could react, an overwhelming force struck his midsection.

The impact sent Noah flying several meters back, his body tumbling across the ground. He skidded to a halt, clutching his stomach, his breathing labored.

[-100 HP]

His vision blurred as he struggled to rise, but his body refused. Each breath felt like shards of glass piercing his lungs. Pain radiated from his core, and he couldn’t suppress the groans of agony escaping his lips.

[Warning! Multiple organs in critical condition. Broken ribs detected.]

[Oxygen supply compromised due to punctured lung.]

[Immediate medical attention required]

Noah clutched at his chest, trying to steady his breathing, but the sharp pain was unbearable. His fingers trembled as he forced himself to kneel, but even that effort felt monumental.

Then, another alert flashed before his eyes.

[Molten Core activity detected within Nyx. Seek immediate shelter.]

From the crater, low groans began to fill the air. They were faint at first, like distant echoes. But they grew steadily louder, each one building upon the last. The sound became a deep, resonating growl that rumbled through the battlefield.

A red light began to spread from the depths of the crater. It wasn’t a mere glow it was alive, pulsing with raw energy that seeped out like liquid fire. As the light intensified, Nyx’s massive form began to stir. His wings unfolded, sending gusts of heated air outward as he rose from the crater. Smoke and ash poured from his nostrils as he stood tall, his eyes blazing like molten coals.

The Harbinger froze, disbelief flickering across its monstrous face. It was impossible. The dragon it had pummeled into submission was now standing, its presence more imposing than ever.

[Molten Core active. Abilities enhanced.]

[Cauterizing wounds. Increasing healing factor]

[Strength and endurance amplified for combat]

Nyx’s molten core had awakened, and the battlefield began to reflect his fury. The ground beneath him sizzled and cracked as the temperature soared. The Harbinger instinctively stepped back, its towering form suddenly dwarfed by the resurrected dragon.

Noah’s system flashed another warning, but his gaze remained locked on Nyx. He could feel the energy pouring from the dragon, a tidal wave of heat and power. Despite his injuries, a faint smirk tugged at his lips.

The red dragon bellowed, a sound so powerful it seemed to shake the heavens. This fight was far from over.
