Child of Destiny

”Hello to all of our friends who are watching from different parts of the world! Welcome to our special program for today! We are here to cover our featured matchup between two of the greatest players of the virtual world!”

Miss Bunny greeted all of the viewers with her brightest smile the moment their special program went online. ”And as usual, this is your favorite host, VJ Miss Bunny, to give you the most entertaining coverage that you can have.”

The online chat box was immediately flooded by the messages of the viewers right after they saw Miss Bunny on their screens.

Miss Bunny took a quick glance at the viewer’s count on the screen in front of her before nodding with full satisfaction after seeing that there were more than a million viewers watching them. Moreover, it was not done counting yet, the viewer’s count continued to rise as more time went by.

After that, Miss Bunny turned to the camera once again and smiled before continuing. ”I know that all of you can no longer wait to watch the match.. But since it still hasn’t started yet, how about we have a little chat for a bit?”

She waited for the viewers to spam a few messages on the live chat once again before continuing to tease them. ”Speaking of chatting, it is going to be a little boring if I cover the match alone, isn’t it? So, how about you guys let me call a friend of mine to accompany me a bit?”

The live chat became silent for a few moments as they tried to digest what Miss Bunny had said. And not long after, the viewers started flooding the live chat with different names of well-known broadcasters that they could think of.

Miss Bunny was quite satisfied with how the viewers were reacting and quickly said. ”Alright, I will stop teasing all of you.”

She then took a brief pause to act as if she was clearing her throat before finally introducing her partner in this broadcast. ”I know quite a lot of our viewers already know who he is since he is also quite famous in this field.”

”Moreover, he is also the person who single-handedly beat the ratings of the True Sight Industries in the last featured battle of the Godly Challenge Rights!”

Miss Bunny felt quite good for rubbing salt on the wounds of her previous company as she continued. ”Let me introduce to you, the self-proclaimed most handsome broadcaster online, Mr. Casanova!”

”Ahem! Ahem! Isn’t calling me the ’self-proclaimed most handsome broadcaster’ a little too much?” said Arthur, who was currently on his other virtual identity, appearing on everyone’s screen.

The viewers immediately became crazy once again when they saw him since they all knew that this program was going to be more interesting and entertaining now this person joined the ’fun’.

And he didn’t betray their expectations.

”Let me correct you a bit with that one. It is not supposedly a self-proclaimed one, because ’I am’ the most handsome broadcast that you can find in this field!” said Arthur confidently as he looked at the camera and winked on it while adding. ”Am I right, girls?”

Those words immediately made every view laugh when they heard those words as they spammed different laughing emotes on the live chat.

Naturally, Miss Bunny would go with the flow and laugh alongside them before quickly changing the topic. ”You really are funny, Mr. Casanova. But how about we stop with the jokes for now and talk about our featured battle?”

Hearing that, Arthur looked at her with ’full disbelief’ while asking. ”You don’t agree with what I said?”

”That makes me brokenhearted,” he said with a dejected tone while also making a pained expression on his face.

But immediately after that, his expression immediately changed and turned expressionless as he nodded his head. ”But I must agree with you that we shouldn’t keep our viewers waiting for long.”

”Unfortunately, the match hasn’t started yet. Should we blame the event organizers of the game for working so slow?” he said with a deadpan expression on his face.

Those words made everyone laugh once again including Miss Bunny who was fully satisfied to invite this guy. ’Looks like inviting him is really a good decision.’

On the other hand, Arthur maintained his poker face and continued. ”So, how about we do our job and keep our viewers entertained?”

Miss Bunny giggles for a few more moments before calming herself down and quickly saying. ”Then how about you introduce our two contenders first?”

”I know that it is quite unnecessary since both of them are quite famous, but it will not hurt to know them more, am I right? After all, there are still quite a few players who are not familiar with them,” she added with a smile.

Arthur chuckled a little when he heard that before coordinating with her words. ”Then I will do the honors to introduce them.”

”First, let me talk about the one who is being challenged this time, the Demon God Justin,” he added as he flipped the paper that he was holding, acting as if he was reading a script.

”He used to play «True Era» Online alongside the other famous Godlike Players. But during that time, he is not yet classified as a Monster Class Player which is also known as Godlike Players right now.”

”Though, he can be as strong as the Titled Rankers of this time,” he added in a nonchalant tone.

He paused for a moment to let the viewers react to his remarks before continuing. ”Back then, he was known for his strange swordsmanship that has both power and speed. And on top of that, he is also an expert in hand-to-hand combat. His battle style focused on shifting between wielding a sword and engaging in fistfights.”

Reaching that point, Miss Bunny suddenly chimed in to keep the conversation a little more interesting. ”If he is skilled in swordsmanship, then how come he is using a glaive now?”

Arthur thought for a couple of moments before answering. ”I’m not sure why he chooses to change his weapon during one of the previous games. But right after he does that, his combat prowess suddenly rises with a great margin and starts defeating quite a lot of Titled Rankers who rank above him.”

”That is also when he got the title of Demonic Arm Justin. He is even regarded as one of the rare talents of the virtual world during that time,” he added as he pursed his mouth a little before continuing. ”And if I remember correctly, not long after he made himself famous, the first International Ranking Cup was suddenly held.”

Reaching this point, he couldn’t help but take a brief pause to clear his throat before continuing. ”Cough! Cough! And that is also when most of the Godlike Players got their current Rankings.”

”As for the Demonic Arm Justin of that time, he managed to claw his way up from being a renowned Titled Ranker into a bona fide Godlike Player after participating in that event. And that is also when he earned the title of Demon God for himself,” he added as a closing statement.

After that, he turned his head to Miss Bunny and said, ”Speaking of Ranking Tournaments, I seem to remember that you covered a lot of them before. How about you share a few of your experiences with us?”

Miss Bunny gave him a smile when she heard that and quickly nodded her head. ”Well, as far as I remember, those Ranking Events are really fun. And I am very honored to cover most of them.”

”And due to those Ranking Tournaments, the previous Godlike Rankings that we have that time changed quite a lot due to some unexpected results,” she added while showing some of the highlight battles on the huge screen behind them.

On the other hand, Arthur coughed a couple of times before saying. ”But I dare to say that the top three players on that list never have some changes. They never get replaced since the time they got their current rankings.”

Miss Bunny laughed at his words as she could read what Arthur was trying to say, especially that she was aware of his real identity. ’This little brother sure is competitive.’

She then skillfully changed the subject by saying. ”Now that we learn quite a few things about Demon God Justin, how about we proceed to our challenger this time?”

Hearing that, Arthur couldn’t help but click his tongue inside his mind before asking. ”Do we really need to say anything about him? Given all of the topics about him in different online platforms, I doubt that we still need to introduce him to our viewers.”

Miss Bunny laughed at him once again after hearing those words before saying. ”Then let me give our viewers a brief introduction about him.”

She didn’t wait for Arthur to reply as quickly did a quick introduction about Shin. Naturally, the viewers were already familiar with Shin as he was practically on every online platform just like what Arthur had said.

But with Miss Bunny’s detailed introduction, the viewers were able to understand him a little more and became aware of how strong he really was.

She also gave some analysis about Shin’s current strength and discussed how she was looking forward to his performance given that he was able to showcase both of his battle styles in this upcoming battle.

”In this battle, we are finally going to see the real strength of Sickarius who manages to earn two titles for himself, one for Official Rankers and another for Maverick Rankers,” she said while turning her head to Arthur and asking. ”Isn’t it an amazing feat? From what I can remember, no one has ever done it before. What do you think partner?”

Arthur wanted to refute those words but since he didn’t want to kill the current atmosphere, he just smiled back at her before saying. ”Based on your tone, it seems like you are rooting for our challenger this time, am I right?”

Hearing that, Miss Bunny couldn’t help but nod her head inwardly before giggling a little as she gave him her reply. ”Of course, who doesn’t want an underdog story? Isn’t it more interesting to pick the side who is more expected to lose?”

”Well, I also want to make things a little dramatic, so I can’t say that I am against you in this one,” commented after he nodded his head.

The two continued to converse with each other to keep the viewers entertained while they were waiting for the battle to start. And after a few more moments, the alarm sound that they were expecting finally arrived!
