Child of Destiny

Right after entering the spacious hall where the party was being held, Shin and the others felt the very gloomy feeling looming in the atmosphere.

Even if everyone seemed to be merrily chatting with each other, their group could immediately tell that there was something odd going on.

Shin swept his gaze on the people present in the hall, before muttering to the hidden mike on his collar. ”You know our assignments, mark everyone who seems to be part of the organization while waiting for things to develop. Once they start making their moves, we are going to immediately take ours.”

The other three nodded their heads before Leonard and Angela separated from Shin and Jillian. And before the two could fully walk away from each other, Shin gave them a one last reminder. ”And don’t eat or drink anything from that f*cking buffet.”

After that, Shin placed his right hand in front of his belly while inviting Jillian to hold his arm. And when the latter saw those gestures, she raised her eyebrows a little before taking his offer and placed her left hand at his arm.

Then they started walking while carefully watching everyone that they were passing by. They only took a couple of steps away from the entrance but Shin could already spot a lot of individuals who were carefully observing everyone.

”Looks like there are quite a lot of them,” muttered Shin with a solemn voice.

Hearing that, Jillian nodded their head before adding. ”And it looks like all of them are at least on the peak of the Core Formation Stage – there are even some who are in the early phase of the Ethereal Opening Stage.”

”We better be careful at our moves,” said Shin before noticing that there were some gazes locked on them.

Feeling that, Shin immediately pulled Jillian and stood at the edge of the empty space at the center of the hall.

”You can at least dance, right?” asked Shin while looking at her with a smile. Though, he was sending a message through a mentalism telepathy. ’It is our turn to be marked by those guys. So, we can’t act too suspicious.’

Jillian was caught a little off-guard by Shin but she immediately responded. ’I am aware about those gazes, but do we really need to dance? Aren’t we going to attract more attention with that?’

As if responding to her question, the whole place suddenly turned a little dark due to the lights being turned off. Then some spot lights lightened the empty space at the center of the hall on the very next instant.

”Alright, ladies and gentlemen! Looks like everyone had arrived. So, how about we start this party already?” said a person who stood at the center of the empty space.

”And while we are waiting for the main event, how about we invite some pairs to entertain us with a dance? Or maybe all of us, if everyone wants to dance with this sweet and relaxing music,” this guy added before making a snap with his fingers.

The moment he did that, a music with a soft and slow rhythm suddenly sounded.

Hearing that, Shin maintained his smile before slightly tilting his head to the side, inviting Jillian to take the stage with him.

At the same time, a bunch of pairs suddenly walked at the center of the hall before starting to dance with their partners.

Jillian looked at them before nodding her head unwillingly. After all, she had no choice since the observing gazes were still locked on them.

Seeing that, Shin immediately walked on her front before bowing at little. Together with that, he placed his left hand on the back of his waist while placing his other hand in front of his belly before asking. ”May I have this dance?” while wearing a gentle smile.

His actions were very natural as if he did this for quite a number of times already. And together with his soft and gentle voice, along with that kind smile, the other girls near him couldn’t help but appreciate his gestures. Especially with his current looks.

Even if he was currently in disguise with his Mentalism Technique, the face that he had was still an eye candy for the girls’ eyes. He actually wanted to disguise with an ordinary look, but Jillian refused it since she didn’t want to be partnered with someone that had average looks.

As for her own looks? Well, how come a girl would disguise herself as someone with ordinary looks if she was going to attend this kind of party? That sounded a little unreal.

Putting that aside, Jillian was also quite surprised at Shin’s actions. She didn’t expect him to be this good at ’putting an act’. She was also a little stunned at the sight, along with those girls near them. After all, she was also a young maiden just like them.

Given that, she immediately gave Shin a sweet smile while offering her hand, facing down.

Understanding that gesture, Shin immediately accepted her hand before gently kissing it. After that, he led her towards an empty space to start their dance.

Seeing all of his actions, the girls in the vicinity couldn’t help but feel regretful. They wished they were the one who Shin invited for a dance. A handsome guy with gentleman’s manners was every young maiden’s dreams.

On the other hand, the men who were partnered with these girls were currently glaring daggers at Shin for being a ’showoff’. Especially the guys who were eyeing Jillian since they saw her.

Along with these guys, there was a young man who was currently glaring at Shin with the fiercest gaze.

Arthur witnessed everything through the hidden camera attached on Leonard’s tux since the latter was not far from the scene and was currently facing it.

A very heavy aura was being emitted by Arthur’s body as he tightly clenched both of his hands. ”This b*st*rd!”

Seeing that, Molton immediately patted Arthur’s shoulder, trying to calm him down. ”Don’t worry, Senior Brother! It is just an act. An act, alright? They are only acting so that they can avoid being too suspicious.”

And while he was saying that, another pair of voices suddenly sounded on the same screen.

”Such a pro! That guy is really good.” – ”Do you also want to have a dance?”

”No, thanks. I don’t know how to dance.”

”That’s simple! Let’s go! I am going to teach you. I’ll lead, you follow.”

After that, the screen showed Angela who was currently dragging Leonard.

This time, Molton heard a sound of a gun loading a bullet on its barrel. And alongside it, he felt an intense killing intent from behind together with a chilling voice, saying. ”Looks like I found one of the targets.”

Molton suddenly broke with a cold sweat while thinking to himself. ’What kind of team composition do we have? I feel like I am going to grow old faster on this special mission.’

At the same time, the poor operator who was assigned to their group already had a pale face while sweating bullets. It was as if he was regretting being in here. ’What kind of hell did I fall into? I wish I didn’t accept this mission in the first place.’

BOOM!

The main battlefield of this operation already had its war started.

”F*ck! The military is already here!”

”Someone reported to the elders that the military forces are stronger than we have expected!”

”Sh*t! Dragon King Nathan is personally leading the assault! Call Master Daniel immediately! We can’t take this guy on!”

The household of the Leon Tribe was being attacked by the military force. And no matter how hard the members of the Leon Tribe resisted, they couldn’t stop the assault led by the mighty ’Dragon King’ of the Martial-Art world.

But the military forces came into a sudden halt when they reached the inner parts of the Leon Tribe’s household.

It was because there was now a large crowd of people blocking their way. And they were being led by a red-haired man with golden pupils.

This man currently had his arms in front of his chest while looking at Nathan with a smug face. ”Leading this raid personally, huh? We feel honored, Dragon King.”

Hearing that, Nathan suddenly smirked and said. ”How can I not come if I am aware that you guys are here?”

He paused for a moment to smile bitterly while saying. ”I don’t know what happened to your family, but it is really a pity that you guys choose siding with the underworld organizations.”

He took another pause to close his eyes for a moment as if he was reminiscing about something before reopening his eyes. And the moment his eyes were opened once again, a very powerful pressure was released from his body.

Boom!

Then he narrowed his eyes and glared at the man leading the other group while saying. ”Regardless, I need to make your family pay for all of the evil deeds that your family did in the shadows.”

Boom!

At the same time, another powerful pressure came from the opposing side, battling the pressure released by Nathan.

”Then try me Dragon King. Do you think I am weaker than you just because my rank is beneath yours?” said by the man leading the other side.

Hearing that, Nathan suddenly smirked and responded. ”Heh! Then let me see if you really are worthy of your title, ’Lion’s Roar: Daniel’.”

Right after he said those words, he suddenly disappeared from his current spot and reappeared high up in the air.

After that, Daniel immediately jumped in the air chasing after Nathan. Along with that, he also enfolded his right-hand fist with a large amount of Internal Qi.

When the accumulation of Internal Qi reached its peak, he threw a powerful punch in the air which sent a devastating shockwave that traveled towards Nathan with a great speed.

Seeing that, Nathan suddenly smirked before releasing another pressure from his body that suddenly transformed into a formless wall in front of him.

Boom!

Then a violent ripple was created when the opposing forces clashed against each other.

Daniel’s charge was forced into a sudden halt due to the shockwaves formed along with those ripples. And after stabilizing his footing in the air, he fiercely stared at Nathan who was majestically standing higher than him.

Seeing furious looks on Daniel’s face, Nathan smirked once again while looking at his opponent mockingly; it was as if he was reminding Daniel what was their current standing in the Martial-Art Circle.

Realizing that Nathan intentionally halted his advance, Daniel became even more furious and immediately released his ’Natural Force’ (Higher form of Internal Qi). ”Don’t you dare look down on me!”

Nathan watched his furious opponent with some amusement before raising his right hand in the air. A moment later, that hand suddenly blazed with a golden flame with golden lightning dancing on its surface.

Then he looked at Daniel with a pitying look while saying. ”Let me remind you of the difference of our strengths.”

Swoosh!

Nathan swung his right hand downwards and pointed it at Daniel’s direction. Immediately after that, a huge golden lightning suddenly struck down from the sky while being accompanied by a loud dragon’s roar.
