Child of Destiny

BOOM!

A massive explosion was created the moment the Eclipse Tiger sent by Shin collided with the incoming Demon Wolf enfolding Liszt. And together with this powerful explosion, a giant sphere of elemental energy was formed at the point of collision.

This elemental energy sphere continued to expand until it destroyed the walls of the canyon on the side. And naturally, the sphere was going to devour Shin given its expanding size.

Seeing that, Shin immediately released the power of Eclipse from his body before creating a dome-shaped barrier with alternating colors of black and white.

’Slayer Skill: (Modified) Eclipse Pulse’

Swoosh!

Boom!

The energy sphere lasted for quite some time before it finally subdued and dissipated. And the moment that energy sphere disappeared, Shin and Liszt were revealed in the middle of the dispersing cloud of dust.

The moment Shin saw Liszt standing a few distances away from him, he couldn’t help but knit his eyebrows. ”Still able to survive that explosion? This guy is really not that simple.”

After that, he immediately put his sword back into its sheath before assuming another sword-drawing stance; he was getting ready for another attack. But before he could even resume attacking, he suddenly heard some unexpected words.

”I surrendered.”

Hearing that, Shin was suddenly taken aback for completely unexpected words. ”Huh?”

He then looked at Liszt who was standing still on his spot before asking. ”What?”

The moment Liszt heard that, he suddenly shook his head before replying. ”I said that I am going to surrender.”

”Eh!? Why? You can still fight from what I can see,” asked Shin with full confusion.

Liszt smiled bitterly for a moment before giving his answer. ”That might be true, but I am already at my limit. What’s more, I already exhausted my reserves. So, there is no point continuing this battle now. After all, I am not a monster like you who can keep battling all day long.”

After that, Liszt immediately sheathed his sword before raising his right hand to summon the system. And right after summoning it, he immediately surrendered. ”I am conceding now.”

When the system received the confirmation, it immediately ended the battle and announced the victor. After that, both Shin and Liszt were simultaneously out of the battle arena, signifying the conclusion of the battle.

On the other hand, all of the audience didn’t expect this kind of conclusion. But they couldn’t complain about it since they already witnessed such an amazing battle. Though, even if they were not satisfied with the ending, all of the still burst in uproar after the moment the battle concluded.

********

After the hype of Shin’s previous battles, the excited audience and fans started to calm down for his upcoming matches. It was not because his next opponents were weak; it just compared to the previous opponents that he had, his possible opponents for the next matches were not even comparable to the previous three.

But despite that being the case, the most loyal fans that he now had, chose to buy the tickets for the upcoming battles to watch his performance.

And since the True Sight Industries had the rights to cover all of Shin’s matches, they still had to cover the upcoming battles.

...

Meanwhile, Shin logged out of the game for a moment to do his daily training routine. Though, he was only focusing on his Mentalism Techniques at the moment since he was still forbidden to practice his Martial-Art. Even if his body had fully recovered now, his body still needed to assimilate with his new powers given by the ’Sacred Diamond Bones’.

After training his control over his Mental Energy, he proceeded at relearning his Mentalism Techniques so that he could understand them further.

While he was studying his Mentalism Techniques, the door of his room suddenly swung open.

Bang!

And after opening the door, Arthur suddenly came in with an excited expression on his face. ”Shin! We are finally not grounded, Uncle Nathan lifted it so that we can have some leisure time before the mission. Wanna come and hang out for a bit?”

”Not interested. And you know that I still have some matches later, right? I don’t have time hanging out with you,” answered Shin with an uninterested tone.

Hearing Shin flat rejection, Arthur couldn’t help but clicked his tongue and said. ”Tsk! What a boring man. Are you not getting bored of that boring cycle of yours? You are still young; you should be enjoying your life out there before regretting it after getting old.”

”Yeah, yeah. Whatever. You should be going now and do your own thing before Auntie came home and grounded you again,” said Shin to shoo Arthur.

Hearing that, Arthur suddenly released a helpless sigh before going out the room. ’Sooner or Later, you will regret not enjoying your youth.’

After leaving Shin’s room, Arthur immediately went to their garage to look for his beloved car. But before he could even enter in there, the head butler immediately appeared in front of him and said. ”Sorry, young master. But you are not allowed to drive any of the cars now. Sir Nathan’s orders.”

Arthur looked at him dumbfoundedly before asking. ”But why?”

Then he paused for a moment before reasoning. ”I am licensed to drive now. According to the law; as long as someone reached the Refinement Stage of Cultivation, they are allowed to drive anywhere they go. And I’ve reached that stage ages ago.”

”What’s more, I am a Core Formation Stage now and even close to reaching the Ethereal Opening Stage. So, I should be allowed to drive anywhere and anytime I want.”

Hearing that, the head butler immediately replied. ”Apologize, young master. I am fully aware about that, that is why you and young master Shin are allowed to drive since then. But as per Sir Nathan’s orders, I can’t allow you to grab any car here.”

”And I am asking why?!” asked Arthur with a frustrated tone.

The head butler shook his head helplessly before saying. ”This is the exact words that Sir Nathan had said. ’I lifted from being grounded, but that doesn’t mean I am letting him do whatever he wants. And if he wants to go hang out for a bit, then he is free to do so. But he needs to go out with his feet’.”

The corner of Arthur’s mouth suddenly started twitching uncontrollably the moment he heard that. Then he suddenly clenched his hand into a fist before saying. ”That sly Uncle of mine. So that is why he is grinning widely when he says that I am free now.”

After a slight pause, he suddenly started smirking. ”Heh! If he thinks that this is enough to stop me from going out, then he is entirely wrong about it.”

When he was done saying that, he immediately turned around and ran towards his room. And when he walked out of his room once again, he was now wearing a leather jacket on top with camouflage pants on the bottom.

He partnered it with a pair of combat boots together with a pair of fingerless gloves. And of course, this fashion style would not be complete if he didn’t have the badass black sunglasses.

After having a change of outfit, he didn’t go back to the garage. Instead, he went towards the designated houses for their military subordinates. In that place, he went to a house where a man was currently having a training routine.

The moment Arthur arrived there, the man just finished his training. And when he saw that, he immediately greeted. ”Big Brother Ken!”

The man named Ken turned his head at Arthur and greeted. ”Oh~! Young Master! Good morning. But what are you doing here? Do you need something from me?”

Hearing that, Arthur immediately replied. ”Not me. But Uncle Nathan is looking for you. He said that he has something to discuss with you.”

”Commander!? Did he say what is it about?” asked Ken almost instantly.

Arthur shrugged his shoulders before replying. ”I don’t know. He just asked me to call you.”

When Ken heard that, he suddenly knitted his brows before mumbling. ”Strange. He can just contact me in the military channel if he needs to summon me.”

Arthur suddenly started sweating bullets the moment he heard that. But to prevent exposing himself, he immediately added. ”I don’t know about it either. But from the looks of it, it is quite important since he asked me to make you hurry.”

Ken suddenly struck dumb after hearing that. He knew his commander very well, if he said that you need to hurry, then you would be in trouble if you didn’t appear in front of him within 2 minutes at most.

Having that in mind, he didn’t dare to delay any longer and immediately picked up his shirt before running towards the mansion.

But before he could get away, Arthur immediately asked. ”Big Brother Ken, can I drink some water first? I am quite thirsty for running towards here.”

Ken didn’t mind it and immediately said. ”Suit yourself in my house. But I am going first now. I don’t want to get beaten up by my commander.”

Arthur watched Ken’s back all the way he was out of his sight. After that, he suddenly started grinning widely before entering the house in front of him.

...

Meanwhile, Ken arrived outside Nathan’s study. He fixed his clothes for a moment before knocking hard at the door. After that he immediately shouted. ”Sir, Captain Ken of the Second Division is requesting to enter the room, Sir!”

Then Nathan’s voice suddenly sounded from behind the door. ”Granted.”

Hearing that, Ken immediately opened the door of the room before entering. After closing the door, he quickly walked towards Nathan with a salute. ”Sir!”

Nathan returned the salute and asked. ”So, why are you here, Ken? Do you need something from me?”

When Ken had heard that, he suddenly knitted his brows with confusion. He wanted to say that he was summoned here by Nathan. But before he could even open his mouth, the door of the room was suddenly swung open followed by the entrance of a soldier.”

Seeing that, Nathan couldn’t help but knit his brows before asking with displeasure. ”Have you forgotten about the Military Etiquette, Sergeant?”

Releasing his mistake, the soldier immediately stood straight and saluted at Nathan while reporting. ”Sir! Apologize, Sir!”

Nathan kept his knitting eyebrows before asking. ”So, what is your reason for coming here in a rash and even forget about your manners?”

Hearing that, the soldier immediately replied. ”Sir! Reporting, Sir! Young Master Arthur went out of the Household just now, Sir!”

Nathan suddenly raised one of his brows even higher before mumbling. ”So, that kid still chose to go out even if he didn’t have anything to ride, huh?”

The soldier hesitated for a moment before saying with a meek tone. ”B-But he is riding a motorcycle, Sir!”

Nathan suddenly frowned the moment he heard that. Then he suddenly asked. ”And who is so bold enough to lend him a motorcycle when I ordered Mr. Chen to forbid that rascal from entering the garage?”

Ken, who was standing on the side couldn’t help but broke in a cold sweat the moment he heard that. He immediately realized what was happening at this point of time.

He then gulfed a mouthful of saliva while muttering to himself. ’I think I am going to die right now.’
