Chapter 306: Bloodline Nature Resonance

CH306 Bloodline Nature Resonance

***

When Zora told Alex about Lady Eleanor Ludevicus, he had grossly underestimated what she was like.

Not only did her beauty place her among the most stunning women he had ever seen in both his lives—easily putting Zora and Diana Lynchfield (the Illusionist Hound) in close competition—she also, without a doubt, possessed the most impressive figure of any woman he had ever encountered.

While there were no bras in this world, Alex was fairly certain her cup size had to be at least an H-cup—almost as large as his head.

(Gross exaggeration...? maybe.)

[A.N: Yes, I’m referencing you—you know yourself. Thanks for helping with the research. 😏]

And yet, despite their... monumental proportions, those twin peaks defied gravity with effortless poise—standing perky and proud, as if blessed by mythical craftsmanship itself.

’Must be the nourishing support of the Fey Monarch Bloodline,’ Alex thought dryly.

Still, as arresting as her beauty—and assets—were, what truly caught Alex’s attention were her ears.

’Elf?’ he nearly blurted aloud.

Lady Eleanor didn’t just inherit her maternal bloodline—she had taken on her maternal race. Judging by the length and elegance of her ears, she was a proper elf, not merely human. Unfortunately, Alex hadn’t yet met a High Elf in person, so he couldn’t say for certain if she was one.

But given that she carried the Fey Monarch Bloodline, a trait exclusive to the High Elves, it was safe to assume she was indeed one of them.

By the time Eleanor closed the distance between them to just a few feet, Alex had already regained his composure.

He rose smoothly from his seat.

”Greetings, Lady Eleanor.”

Then—he froze.

So did she.

For a moment, the air between them rippled with an unseen force. Both of them felt it—a pull, a strange sense of familiarity... a resonance.

’Bloodline nature and affinity resonance?’ Alex realised.

Bloodline Nature Resonance—a phenomenon so rare that most people went their entire lives without experiencing it. It occurred only when two individuals possessed bloodlines of equal strength, high purity, and similar elemental nature or affinity.

Theoretically, it sounded simple.

In practice, it was almost impossible.

The conditions had to align with near-perfect precision—something that bordered on cosmic coincidence.

For Alex and Eleanor, the phenomenon quickly escalated. Their bloodlines began to flow in perfect synchrony, their powers rising together in a state that felt both stressful and intoxicating.

Within moments, the resonance deepened to the point that even their heartbeats seemed to align. The rhythm of their blood flow synchronised, pulsing as one.

’Not good,’ Alex thought grimly.

He instinctively knew he couldn’t let this continue.

His blood was far from ordinary.

Unlike Eleanor, whose Fey Monarch Bloodline pulsed with solar-natured energy, Alex’s contained far more—his Solar Auramir Bloodline was fused with the primal Furor Bloodline, both empowered by Dragon Essence.

That fusion made his bloodline the dominant one in the resonance—his power was pulling Eleanor’s Fey Monarch blood toward his state of being.

The problem?

Alex’s body had been refined under Dragon Essence. His blood essence and bone marrow were forged through that fusion, making his blood far denser and more metaphysically viscous than any normal human’s.

His heart and vessels had long adapted to pump such blood effortlessly—but if that same pressure suddenly forced itself upon an unprepared heart like Eleanor’s...

A stroke might be the least of her problems.

’This meeting is going off to such a great start,’ Alex thought dryly.

Calm Madness.

Without hesitation, he roused the Furor half of his bloodline, which had been quietly watching from within, and forced it into fusion with the Auramir side.

Pop!

A sharp psychic sound echoed in both their minds. The resonance shattered the instant Alex’s fused bloodline shifted state, severing the connection. His combined Furor–Auramir nature now stood completely dissonant with Eleanor’s Fey Monarch essence.

Both of them exhaled in relief.

’Is the world trying to get me or something? How does a simple meeting turn into a near-death experience?’ Alex rubbed his temple, feeling a headache coming on.

Suppressing the urge to sigh again, he calmly circled to the other side of the table and pulled out a chair for her—like a proper gentleman—choosing to ignore what had just happened.

There was no point in bringing it up. If this meeting went poorly, discussing it would only make things worse. And if it went well, and they did end up joining houses... it would sort itself out naturally.

Either Eleanor was too startled to mention it or had reached the same conclusion, because she didn’t say a word about the resonance either.

”Thank you,” she said softly as she took her seat.

Alex nodded and returned to his seat.

Just then, the lounge staff entered, pushing in a cart laden with cakes, herbal tea, milk, and sweeteners.

Neither Alex nor Eleanor spoke. Instead, they quietly used the time the staff took to set up the table to observe one another.

To Alex, Eleanor embodied the very ideal of elven beauty as often described in the tales of his previous life. The first thing that captivated any audience was, without doubt, her beauty—and rightly so.

Unlike Zora’s cold, mature allure or Udara’s wild, seductive charm, Eleanor’s beauty was softer, tinged with an almost divine grace.

She looked like a Saintess—one whose mere existence made lust itself feel sacrilegious. Yet, paradoxically, she also evoked a darker, more dangerous temptation—the forbidden desire to see that holiness tainted and fall from grace.

’Whoa, easy there, Alex. Those are some seriously dark thoughts you’re having,’ he scolded himself silently.

Looking past her divine appearance and into her eyes, however, Alex saw something far more grounded—calculating eyes that weighed everything with scales of pragmatism, measuring benefit against cost.

The staff left hurriedly once the table was set.

As if on cue, both Alex and Eleanor moved simultaneously.

Eleanor gracefully cut and served the cake, while Alex poured her a cup of herbal tea. For himself, he went with milk and honey.

They exchanged the snacks and drinks with smooth, unspoken coordination. Their movements were so fluid, so natural, that anyone watching might doubt this was their first meeting.

Yet, while to an outsider they might seem like a harmonious couple, to the two seated at that table, it felt more like a high-stakes negotiation—one that could shape the fate of their respective ’worlds’.

Well, that wouldn’t be entirely wrong. After all, the outcome of this conversation would determine both their futures.

Alex’s lips curved into his familiar faint smile.

”Lady Eleanor, you are as beautiful and graceful as they say,” he began, his tone polite but perfunctory.

Before she could respond, he continued, ”The reason I called for this meeting is to annul the agreement reached between your family and myself.”

Eleanor’s composure faltered for the first time.

”You wish to break the marriage pact?” she asked, needing to be sure.

”Indeed, I do,” Alex replied with a calm nod.
