Reborn As Noble

They should be weeping with gratitude that someone like me, blessed by the goddess herself, even bothers to grace their miserable little town with my presence. They should be kissing my feet, begging for just one more crumb of my divine light.

Every one of them should be thanking whatever god they pray to that I haven’t simply walked away and left them to their pathetic, crawling lives.

Julius lowered his hand and smiled at the awed crowd, his voice carrying across the silent hall.

”Forgive me for interrupting your evening. I did not mean to disturb the celebration. Truly, I only wished to offer a small blessing, a moment of peace for a troubled soul. I never meant to draw so much attention to myself. I am only a humble servant. Please, go back to your feasts, to your laughter, to your joy. Let this be a night of peace for everyone.”

The people around erupted into cheers. Some wept openly, clutching their hands to their chests, tears streaming down their cheeks. Others fell to their knees, their voices rising in a chorus of gratitude and worship.

”Supreme Leader! Supreme Leader! Long live the Supreme Leader!”

Julius smiled warmly, nodding slowly at each of them.

But then his eyes fixed on someone.

A dark-haired girl in a plain dress, carrying a tray through the crowd. She was moving normally, weaving among the nobles, refilling glasses without ever breaking stride, as if the golden light had never touched her at all.

T... that girl...

His breath caught in his throat.

The girl from the fruit stall.

I can’t believe I found her here.

This must be my lucky day. Tonight I could bring her to my chamber and fuck her hard.

Before he could move, a noble stepped forward, blocking his view.

”Supreme Leader, words cannot express how blessed we are to have you here. To think that the greatest hero of the world would grace our humble town with his presence, for a mere feast... we are beyond fortunate. Beyond honored. The goddess herself must be smiling on us tonight.”

Julius smiled warmly, his expression gentle and humble.

”The honor is mine, my lord. Truly. To be welcomed so warmly, by such gracious people... it humbles me.”

His eyes flicked past the noble’s shoulder. The girl was moving away, weaving through the crowd with her tray, heading toward the back of the hall.

These nobles... so fucking annoying!

How dare he block my view when I was looking at the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my entire life?

These bastards think they can just walk up to me and waste my time with their meaningless flattery? They think they’re important? They think their noble titles mean something to me?

I’ve crushed kingdoms. I’ve ended bloodlines. And this fat old fool thinks his five minutes of groveling matters more than the woman I’ve been searching for all day?

He turned back to the gathering nobles, his voice calm and smooth.

”Forgive me, my lords and ladies. There is a matter I must attend to briefly. It is urgent, and I would not wish to delay it further. I shall return shortly, and we can continue our conversation.”

The nobles bowed, murmuring their understanding.

Julius walked forward, smiling, raising his hand in greeting, nodding to those who called his name. He moved through the crowd slowly, keeping his pace measured, his expression warm. But his eyes never left the back of the hall.

He reached the feast table. Servants moved quickly around it, carrying platters and trays, clearing empty dishes, refilling glasses.

The girl was there.

She stood among the other servants, her tray balanced in her hands. She moved quietly, calmly, refilling a glass here, a plate there.

Her dark hair was pulled back, loose strands framing a face so beautiful it made his chest ache. Her skin was fair and glowing, like moonlight caught in porcelain. Her eyes were large and gentle. Her lips were full and pink, curved into a natural, unknowing smile. Her neck was slender, her collarbones delicate.

Her modest dress did nothing to hide the shape of her body. Her waist curved inward, her hips flared outward. Her breasts sat high and full beneath the fabric, pressing against it with every small movement.

Then she turned, reaching for another tray.

Her ass was full and round, perfectly shaped, swaying gently with the motion. The fabric of her dress stretched taut over it, hinting at the softness beneath.

His cock stirred beneath his armor.

Ohhh!

That ass! Round and perfect, the kind of ass a man wants to grip with both hands while he drives himself inside her. The kind of ass that begs to be bent over, to be spread, to be slapped until it’s red!

I bet her pussy is thick and perfect. I can almost taste it. I can almost hear her screaming in bliss already~

He kept his eyes on her while he reached for a glass of wine from a passing servant’s tray, lifting it casually to his lips, his gaze never leaving her.

He moved toward her, stepping through the crowd. He stopped a short distance from her, swiped his hair back with one hand, and struck a confident, charming pose. He held his wine glass up, tilting it slightly, and let his voice drop into something warm and smooth.

”What a vision of loveliness my eyes have been blessed with tonight. I must say, I have traveled far and seen much, but rarely have I encountered a beauty so... captivating. Truly, the evening has been made brighter by your presence. Tell me, fair lady, what is your name?”

The girl turned. Her face was flat. Her eyes were calm and unreadable. She looked at him for a moment, then spoke in a voice that carried no warmth at all.

”Who are you?”

Julius froze.

S... she didn’t know... who I am?

Julius blinked, then let out a smooth, easy laugh. He shook his head, his smile still perfectly warm.

”A jest, surely. I admire a woman with a sense of humor.” He tilted his head. ”But allow me to introduce myself properly.”

He straightened into a confident pose, one hand resting on the pommel of his golden sword, the other lifting his wine glass slightly. The chandelier light caught the gleam of his armor.

”I am the Supreme Leader of the Summoned Heroes. The one the goddess Zeyrinda chose to lead her champions. The strongest hero on this world. The one they call the Sword of the Goddess, the Legendary Hero who slew a thousand armies alone. Surely you’ve heard of me? They speak my name in every corner of the world.”

The girl’s face didn’t change. Her eyes remained flat, uninterested.

”I’m sorry. I don’t know any hero.”

She pointed casually toward the long tables laden with food.

”If you’re hungry, there’s plenty of food over there. If you’re thirsty, you’re already holding wine.” She reached for her tray and settled it against her hip. ”Now, if you’ll excuse me, my work here is done. If you need more assistance, please ask one of the other servants.”

She turned and walked away, her steps unhurried and her posture composed, leaving him behind without a second glance.

Julius stood frozen. His wine glass hovered in the air where his arm had stopped moving.

The nobles slowly gathered around him, murmuring, eager to catch his attention, but he didn’t hear them. His eyes stayed fixed on the girl’s back as she disappeared through the doorway at the far end of the hall.
