Reborn As Noble

Liana walked off with a spring in her step, humming happily, her victory shining in every note.

Meanwhile, Gloria still kneeling on the floor, slowly lifted her head. Her eyes shimmered with fake tears as she looked straight at Javier.

”Young Master... sob sob...”

Javier sighed, already sensing where this was going.

Gloria crawling forward with dramatic flair.

”Young Master!” she cried, reaching a hand toward him as though she were a tragic heroine abandoned by fate. ”Bring me too!”

Javier’s sigh turned into a low groan.

He straightened, sweeping his hand through his hair with a dramatic flourish. His eyes widened, gaze lifted toward the ceiling as if the heavens themselves were witness to his suffering.

”Oh, Gloriaaa!~” he cried, his voice trembling with theatrical sorrow. ”Forgive me! I could not... I dared not intervene!”

He staggered back a step, one hand pressed against his chest, the other stretched toward her as if torn apart by destiny. His robe fluttered slightly with the movement, catching the corridor’s draft, making the act all the more absurdly convincing.

Gloria clasped both hands to her chest, her eyes widening, her tears immediately doubling in intensity. ”Young Master! How could fate be so cruel to part us so soon!?”

Javier threw his hair to the side with mock grandeur, the motion exaggerated like a stage actor basking in spotlight. He extended a hand toward her, eyes burning with false anguish.

”Oh, Gloria! My beloved maid, my Second Wife! Forgive me!” His voice rang with theatrical sorrow.

”If only fate weren’t so cruel! If only my heart could carry the both of you at once!”

Gloria immediately gasped, her body arching as she clutched her chest, looking every bit the heroine struck by tragedy. ”Young Master...!”

She collapsed sideways in a graceful faint, one hand still stretched toward him, as though the cruel hand of destiny had dragged her down.

Javier dropped to one knee and reached toward her dramatically. ”Nooo! Don’t leave me, Gloriaaa!”

From down the corridor, a pair of younger maids peeked around the corner. Their faces flushed as they whispered to each other.

”Are they... practicing for a play?”

”I... I don’t know...”

Then...

Smack! Smack!

”Eeeeekkkkk!!!” Javier yelped, clutching his head.

”Aw~!” Gloria winced, rubbing her forehead where the strike landed.

Both looked up in unison.

Only to see Liana standing before them, arms folded, her serene expression sharpened by a sigh.

Javier opened his mouth to protest, but Liana didn’t give him the chance. She reached out, grabbed his collar with practiced ease, and started dragging him along.

”Now, Young Master, go and prepare,” she said firmly, her tone polite but edged.

”We are going to the capital. I’m sure Lord Garius will not be pleased if you are late.”

As she pulled him away, her eyes flicked briefly toward Gloria. Her lips curved into a mockingly sweet smile.

”Fufufu~ A win is a win~” she whispered, her voice lilting with triumph.

Gloria clenched her fists dramatically, collapsing to her knees once more. ”Nooo... destiny betrayed me twice in one day!!”

Once they stepped back into Javier’s room, Liana clapped her hands sharply.

”Alright, girls! Everyone out!”

She immediately began pulling and pushing Felicia, Mimi, Delya, and Ferine toward the door.

”Ehhh!? Why!?” the four protested in unison, their faces a mix of confusion and pouting.

”Why?” Liana arched a brow, her tone turning dangerously calm. ”Why!? Because Young Master is going to change. Of course no girls are allowed.”

”But you and Gloria!!!” Mimi pointed accusingly, her tail flicking in protest.

”We are his personal maids,” Liana replied smoothly, not missing a beat. ”Of course we are helping our Young Master prepare.”

Then her eyes slid toward Gloria, who was still kneeling in mock despair near the doorway. ”Now, Gloria, stop being dramatic and get over here.”

Before Gloria could scramble away, Liana seized her by the wrist and dragged her inside.

”Nooo~” Gloria wailed pitifully, arms flailing as though she were being hauled off to her execution.

The door shut behind them, leaving the four younger girls outside in the hall, blinking at one another in stunned silence.

From outside the room, Felicia, Mimi, Delya, and Ferine pressed their ears against the door.

The muffled voices inside made their eyes widen instantly.

”Eeek!! Liana!! I can change myself!” Javier’s panicked voice rang out.

”No can do, Young Master!” Liana shot back firmly.

”Eeekkk!!! Don’t pull the robe!!! I’m wearing nothing down there!!”

The four girls outside gasped in unison, their faces flushing scarlet.

Then Liana’s voice carried clearly through the door, calm and sharp. ”So? It’s the usual!!! Besides that ours too!”

Outside, Mimi clutched her cheeks, tail puffed up. ”Nyaaaa~ I knew it! So bold!”

Felicia covered her face with both hands, her voice trembling. ”T-to hear it so clearly...”

Delya blinked rapidly. ”W-wait... so every day... like this?”

Mimi suddenly grabbed the handle and twisted, her tail swishing wildly. Click!

The door didn’t budge.

”Nyaaa!! It’s locked!!” she cried, her ears twitching furiously. She rattled the handle with both hands, stamping her foot. ”Let me in too! I want to see it!!”

Felicia nearly fainted on the spot. ”M-Mimi!! Have you no shame!?”

Delya tugged on Mimi’s sleeve, her face red as a tomato. ”Y-you can’t just barge in like that!”

Ferine, standing a little behind them, pressed her hands together near her chest, her cheeks pink. ”...Mimi... that’s too much...” she whispered softly, her voice small and shy.

Inside the room, muffled voices continued.

”Gloriaaa! Don’t pull that too!!” Javier’s desperate voice echoed.

”Stop fidgeting, Young Master,” Gloria replied serenely. ”Ara~ if you keep twisting like this, you’ll wrinkle the fresh robe.”

”Nooo!!”

The four girls kept their ears firmly pressed against the door, cheeks flushed, breaths caught. Every muffled shout and protest from inside sent their hearts racing faster.

But then.

”What are you all doing~?”

The gentle, graceful voice from behind froze them in place.

All four stiffened, eyes wide with panic. Slowly, they turned their heads.

And there she was.

Lady Francesca, standing with serene elegance, her warm eyes narrowed in quiet amusement.

Beside her stood three figures whose presence made the hallway itself feel heavier. The Beastkin Queen, tail swishing lazily but eyes sharp. The Dwarven Queen, hands folded neatly, lips curved in the faintest smirk. And the Demon Queen, her gaze cool and knowing.

Mimi and Felicia nearly fell over, their tails and ears shooting upright.

”M...Mother!” Felicia squeaked, her voice trembling.

Delya’s jaw dropped, paling instantly.

Ferine hid behind her hands, cheeks crimson.
