Entertainment: Who Said That the Golden Supporting Role Cannot Become the Top Stream

13: The witty questions and answers of the fairy dragon suitFacing the first question thrown by the reporter on the screen, Lin Da’s expression remained unchanged, still maintaining that calm and composed demeanor.

He pondered for two seconds, seemingly organizing his thoughts.

Beside him, Director Wang’s palms were sweating from nervousness, fearing that Lin Da, this ”newcomer,” wouldn’t be able to handle such a situation.

Just then, in Lin Da’s mind, the On-the-Spot Strategist system provided several suggested answers:

”A: Thank you for your love. I am unworthy of the title ’Immortal Extra’. I just try my best to play every role well.” (Safe, but a bit bland)

”B: Haha, maybe it’s because my ’deaths’ were quite distinctive? Just kidding, it’s actually the director and the team who gave me room to perform.” (Humorous, but possibly not formal enough)

”C: The title ’Immortal Extra’ is both pressure and motivation for me. It reminds me that no matter how big or small the role, I should demand ’immortal’ standards from myself.” (Appropriate and profound)

Lin Da’s gaze lingered on option C for a moment, already having his answer.

He smiled slightly at the camera, his voice gentle and sincere:

”First of all, I am very grateful for the attention and love from all media friends and netizens.”

”As for the title ’Immortal Extra’, to be honest, I feel unworthy of it.”

He paused, his tone carrying a perfectly measured hint of humility:

”In my opinion, there are no small roles, only small actors. Every role, regardless of its screen time, has its own value and meaning.”

”If my performance can bring a bit of surprise or joy to everyone, that is mainly thanks to Director Wang’s meticulous guidance, and the collective efforts of all colleagues in the entire Jianghu Xiaoxiami crew.”

”This title, for me, is more of an encouragement and a spur.”

Lin Da’s gaze deepened:

”It reminds me that on my future acting path, no matter what kind of role I receive, I should treat it, ponder it, and present it with ’immortal’ standards. I will transform this love into motivation and strive to bring everyone more and better works.”

This response was neither humble nor arrogant, and utterly flawless. It expressed gratitude, showed humility, and cleverly elevated the concept, transforming the slightly teasing title of ”Immortal Extra” into a driving force for his future acting career.

The assistance of On-the-Spot Strategist, combined with Lin Da’s experience accumulated in his previous life, made his words surprisingly effective.

The reporters on the other side of the screen were clearly very satisfied with this answer, nodding in agreement.

Director Wang listened beside him, beaming, and quietly gave Lin Da a big thumbs up.

”Teacher Lin Da spoke so well!” A reporter from another media outlet immediately picked up the conversation, ”We all saw the two roles you played in Jianghu Xiaoxiami, Bandit A and Shop Assistant. Their personalities are vastly different, yet you portrayed them both so vividly. Could you share with us how you delved into these two small characters?”

This question was exactly what Lin Da wanted.

He smiled and began to speak fluently:

”Actually, whether it’s Bandit A or Shop Assistant, they are first and foremost ’people’.”

”As people, they will have emotions, desires, and their own stories and logic.”

”For example, Bandit A, although he is a villain, why did he become a bandit? Does he have a family? When he faces death, besides fear, will he have other emotions? At that time, I thought, if he could, in that instant, develop a ’mountain-like’ reverence for the protagonist’s martial arts, wouldn’t it have more dramatic tension?”

”As for Shop Assistant, this character is very familiar to everyone. But the more familiar a character is, the harder it is to portray with novelty.”

”I positioned him as a ’wise man in the marketplace’. He greets and sends off customers, accustomed to the ups and downs of the Jianghu, so he is slick and worldly, knowing how to seek advantages and avoid harm, but deep down, he might also retain a trace of the common person’s kindness and bottom line.”

”So, when I was performing, I paid special attention to some details. For example, his tone of voice, the way he looks at people, and even some habitual small movements, hoping to make this character more grounded and vivid.”

Lin Da’s answers were profound yet easy to understand, possessing both theoretical depth and vivid details. He did not pretend to be profound but shared his understanding and love for acting in the most straightforward language.

The reporters listened with great interest, nodding and taking notes from time to time.

”Teacher Lin Da, although your two roles had limited screen time, they left a deep impression on the audience, and some netizens even said that you stole the thunder from the protagonist. What are your thoughts on this? Are you worried about putting pressure on other actors in the same crew?” A reporter posed a somewhat sharp question.

If this question was not answered well, it could easily offend people.

Lin Da’s expression remained calm:

”First of all, the success of a drama is the result of the collective efforts of all actors and behind-the-scenes staff. The protagonist has the protagonist’s brilliance, and supporting roles have their responsibilities. Everyone performs their duties, and only then can a good work be achieved together.”

”I never think that I stole anyone’s thunder. If the audience likes the characters I played, it only means that these two characters themselves have their lovable qualities, and I was just lucky enough to capture those shining points.”

”As for pressure, I think healthy pressure is actually a motivation. Everyone learns from each other and promotes each other during the creative process, so that they can progress together. I believe every actor in the Jianghu Xiaoxiami crew is excellent.”

Flawless, simply perfect!

Director Wang secretly clicked his tongue in amazement as he listened, thinking, this kid, he’s nothing like a newcomer who just debuted! His adaptability and speaking skills are even more seasoned than those old hands who have been in the entertainment industry for over a decade!

In the following time, reporters asked several more questions about Lin Da’s personal experiences and future plans.

Lin Da answered each one with composure. He did not deliberately play the victim, nor did he excessively boast, always maintaining a humble and sincere attitude.

When asked about his future plans, he frankly stated that he currently had no long-term intentions and only wanted to be down-to-earth and play every role in front of him well.

”I love acting and enjoy the process of shaping different characters.”

”For me, being recognized by the audience and being able to convey some positive energy through my roles is the greatest happiness.”

Unbeknownst to them, the half-hour online media meeting was nearing its end.

”Thank you very much, Teacher Lin Da, for accepting our interview today! We also look forward to you bringing us more wonderful roles in the future!”

”Thank you, everyone!” Lin Da smiled his signature gentle smile at the camera again.

The online meeting ended, and Lin Da let out a long sigh of relief.

Director Wang immediately rushed over and gave him a bear hug excitedly: ”Lin Da! You’re amazing! Your performance today was perfect! I bet when the news comes out tomorrow, you’ll be on fire again!”

Lin Da smiled, but in his heart, he was thinking, this meeting should complete the first stage of the [Path of the Golden Supporting Actor] task released by the system, right?

Just then, his phone rang again.

Seeing the name on the caller ID, Lin Da’s eyes narrowed slightly.

It was an unfamiliar number, but the location, however, surprised him a little.

It was the capital.
