Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 110: Chapter 95: Dragon Lizard Bloodline Purification Experiment

With those two matters taken care of, Isaac rose, ready to leave the chamber and head to his laboratory to research Witchcraft. Just as he reached the door, he suddenly remembered something. He turned and said, ”By the way, Smith. The Breathing Skill you practice is the Black Snake Breathing Technique, right?”

”Yes, Young Master.”

”Good. Practice more whenever you have the time. I’ll help you advance to the rank of Great Knight, and I’ll have to trouble you to continue taking care of me.”

Smith paused, stunned for a moment. Then, a gratified smile spread across his face as he bowed deeply and offered his thanks.

”Thank you, Young Master.”

Isaac waved his hand dismissively, then headed for the laboratory behind the castle.

The laboratory’s overall layout hadn’t changed much. Even the magical effect of the internal space expansion had been preserved. From the outside, it looked to be only a little over a hundred square meters, but in reality, the interior was as large as three or four football fields!

It was incredibly spacious, to say the least. The only drawback was the lack of a Tower Spirit.

In a way, the large space could be considered a drawback. But now that he had Liu Li, he no longer needed to tidy up the laboratory himself. So, aside from being unable to procure items at a moment’s notice, there wasn’t much of a difference.

Upon entering the laboratory, Isaac immediately slipped into work mode. He removed his Wizard Robe, quickly donned a white lab coat, and approached Lab Bench One. Unlike the all-purpose operating table in his old castle laboratory, the current lab was spacious enough for a lot of equipment, so he had finally been able to set up specialized workstations.

Lab Bench One was designated for processing internal organs, while vivisections were still performed on the operating table.

He was now preparing to perform the practical component of the Witchcraft research project he had received from the Flesh Sect: *Bloodline Purification: Heart Chapter*.

As mentioned before, Witchcraft is far more complex than Arcane Art. Every form of Witchcraft, beyond the specific spell itself, includes a body of corresponding Knowledge. Take Bloodline Purification, for example. The complete version is a Tier Three Witchcraft. It is said that a single casting can purify the bloodline of a Dragon Lizard to that of a Giant Dragon!

However, this comes at the cost of completely draining the Dragon Lizard’s life force. The Magic’s effect only lasts for ten seconds. After those ten seconds, no matter how powerful the Giant Dragon it had become, the creature would revert to a Dragon Lizard and then die.

The goal of the *Dragon Blood Demon Bloodline Purification Research* is to make this magical effect permanent, thereby achieving an unlimited supply of Giant Dragon materials!

Isaac had no way of knowing how much progress had been made; only the High-level Mages involved in the project would know. He was just tagging along, submitting materials and picking up the scraps.

Back in the Imperial Capital, he had already completely mastered the theory behind *Bloodline Purification: Heart Chapter*. All he lacked now was practical experience.

On Lab Bench One sat a fresh, crimson Dragon Lizard heart. Not far away, on Operating Table Three, a heartless Dragon Lizard lay quietly, its vital functions suspended by Magic.

This was the advantage of having an assistant. Before, he would have had to slog through all this prep work himself!

Not like now, where he could just give Liu Li the instructions and consider it done.

’It’s a shame the [God-Stealer] can only create one Follower. Otherwise, I’d really want to make a few more. After all, she’s incredibly useful—obedient, a good fighter, and a fast learner. So what if her true form is a little strange? Worst case, I’d just have the others learn a shapeshifting Skill, just like Liu Li.’

Indeed, Isaac had already discovered Liu Li’s abnormality. She was his Follower, after all, and he possessed a certain degree of awareness of her. He just hadn’t thought about it at first, completely captivated by an appearance that catered perfectly to his tastes. But as time went on and the novelty wore off, he naturally found out.

’But it didn’t matter. As long as she was useful, who cared what she really looked like? Isaac was a pragmatist.’

HSSS... HAAA...

Isaac quickly centered himself, casting aside all stray thoughts and immersing himself completely in the experiment. A magical radiance glowed from his hands as tendrils of Magic Power fused with the Dragon Lizard’s heart, stimulating a flicker of vitality within it. He then poured a green Magic Potion over the heart, followed by another injection of Magic Power. He repeated this cycle three times.

The blood-producing cells within the Dragon Lizard heart became fully active. This was the perfect moment to purify the Dragon Blood.

Even though this was his first time performing the experiment for real, Isaac remained completely calm. He proceeded through each step methodically. After all, he had already simulated the entire process in his mind countless times back in the Imperial Capital. He didn’t even need to check his panel; he already knew the experiment was a success.

Just as he’d expected, as Isaac injected a vial of a carefully prepared, crystalline red Magic Potion into the Dragon Lizard heart, the organ began to beat. With each pulse, the crystalline red Magic Power suffused the entire organ, and the aura of a Giant Dragon began to emanate from it.

But the experiment wasn’t over yet. He had only succeeded in transforming an ordinary Dragon Lizard’s heart into that of a Tier One Dragon Blood Demon Lizard. Before it could be re-implanted, there was one more step: compressing its size.

Dragon Lizard and Dragon Blood Demon Lizard. The names might sound similar, but the difference between them was enormous!

A Dragon Lizard is just a Non-Rank Demon, one that even ordinary people can farm. A Dragon Blood Demon Lizard, on the other hand, is a Tier One Upper-rank Demon. Its body alone is five times the size of a Dragon Lizard’s!

And to support such a huge body, the Dragon Blood Demon Lizard’s heart is naturally not small. After Isaac injected the Magic Potion, the Dragon Lizard’s heart began to expand rapidly. In just a few seconds, it had already swelled from the size of a fist to the size of a basketball!

It was already bigger than the Dragon Lizard’s entire chest cavity; there was no way to force it back inside!

And this wasn’t even its final size!

This was where another one of Isaac’s acquired Witchcrafts was needed: Flesh Condensation.

This technique could be used to further compress Demonized Flesh Essence for convenient transport, but it was also applicable in various biological experiments. After all, giant Demons were not rare in the Magic Realm; many had internal organs that were three stories tall on their own!

A Wizard couldn’t exactly crawl inside to conduct an experiment, which was why this kind of size-reduction Magic was necessary.

However, Flesh Condensation was not a transmutation-type Magic. Therefore, he had to be exceptionally careful while compressing the heart. He had to reduce the heart’s volume while perfectly preserving its structure, avoiding crushing it into a meaty pulp.

Isaac performed this step with extreme caution, not even daring to spare a glance at the success rate displayed by his Golden Finger.

Fortunately, thanks to having processed nearly five thousand Gold Coins’ worth of Flesh Essence previously, his mastery of Flesh Condensation was decent enough. It took some time, but he ultimately succeeded in compressing the heart back to its original size.

Haaa...

As far as Isaac was concerned, reaching this stage meant the experiment was a success. The final step—putting the heart back—might have been difficult for others, but for him, it was a sure thing.

He had a 90% success rate even with his eyes closed!
