Endless Leveling Done Right!

Chapter 639: Return To the 15th Floor

When the sun rose again the next day, Alex, Renard, Chuck, and Dim Dim headed back to the Dungeon of Beasts.

After speeding through the floors for half a day, they finally reached the 15th Floor. Just as Astrea had stated, insect-type monsters roamed everywhere.

The weakest monster in this floor was Rank 4. Fortunately, Chuck specialized in fire spells, which was very effective against these monsters.

Renard found himself fighting tooth and nail against the Insect-Type Monsters that were either too hard or too fast for him to land a decisive killing blow.

In this environment, there was one creature who seemed to have undergone a transformation.

”La Chancla!” Dim Dim shouted as it threw Grandma Agnes’ wooden sandal, instantly killing a Beetle Type Monster that Renard had to avoid, frustrated by its hard shell.

Renard didn’t know what to feel after seeing the little bun. Dim Dim was just slapping everything in its path with the bane of the insects’ existence, the wooden sandals.

Meanwhile, Alex fought tooth and nail with the enemies. He raised his shield for defense while imbuing his warhammer with flames, then targeted their weak spots.

Of course, using the wooden sandal would have made fighting them easy, but Alex didn’t want that.

After facing his reverse self, he understood better than anyone how severely he lacked technique.

”Hammer For All Seasons Fifth Form!” Alex raised his flame-coated warhammer. ”Forgefire Strike!”

His warhammer clashed with the scythe of a Green mantis, overpowering the monster completely.

”Shield Bash!” Alex roared as he slammed his shield on the Mantis’s head, making it stagger. ”Hammer For All Seasons Eight Form!”

”Avalanche Crash!”

The young man leveraged the momentum he gained, unleashing a series of rapid, heavy hammer strikes that targeted the monster’s head and chest.

The final strike smashed the Mantis’s head, making it explode in a cloud of black mist.

It then left behind its beast core, as well as the bladed scythes that it used for battle.

< Level Up! >

The young man panted for breath, kneeling on the ground. This was already his ninth level up ever since he entered the dungeon.

His goal was to reach Rank 4 before returning to the academy. To achieve that, his combined stats must reach 800 points.

Right now, Alex’s combined stats were only 562, not including Stamina, Magic, Luck, or the bonus stats from his equipment.

He needed 238 more points, which meant he would have to level up eighty more times.

With the help of the Unique Skill, Growth [EX], Alex enjoyed a boost in his gain of experience points even when fighting as a party.

With Dim Dim casually killing enemies left and right, gaining experience points wouldn’t be that much of a problem.

Even Chuck could instinctively feel himself growing stronger from tagging along with his friends.

Although he was still deep in thought as to how he would approach his relationship with Princess Xenia, he didn’t dare let down his guard against monsters that could easily kill him.

In any case, they were power leveling, with Dim Dim carrying them!

”La Chancla!”

With a powerful throw, the little bun once again disposed of a monster that tried to sneak attack Chuck from behind.

”Thank you, Dim Dim!” Chuck said after realizing what just happened.

”Dim!” Dim Dim jumped to catch the returning sandal and threw it once more against a monster charging in its direction.

”Are you sure we’re going to the 20th Floor?” Renard asked. ”We’re already getting overwhelmed here on the 15th Floor. If we go any lower, it might be too difficult for us to handle.”

Renard didn’t want to complain, but the monsters just kept coming. He couldn’t even get some breathing time. Every time he killed a monster, another monster would lunge at him from who knew what direction.

They were simply unending!

”There is something I must get from the Boss of the 20th Floor!” Alex replied. ”Don’t worry. After the initial rush, this wave of monsters will die down. We will be able to rest soon.”

”How soon is soon?!” Chuck complained after he finished downing a mana potion. ”We won’t last at this rate!”

Although he could feel himself getting stronger, he had to heighten his senses to its limit. He couldn’t turn it off for his safety, and keeping it added to his exhaustion.

He was even tempted to drink a Conqueror’s Potion, letting his confident version handle everything while he rested.

But Chuck knew it wouldn’t matter whether it was his confident self fighting for him or not.

Confident Chuck was just a change of mentality, and a tired body would remain a tired body. The moment the potion wore off, Chuck would definitely feel the backlash. He might even collapse from it.

So in the end, he could only grit his teeth and endure.

Half an hour later, the three teenagers collapsed on the ground, dead tired. Dim Dim just looked at them and shook its head.

”Mada Mada Dane,” Dim Dim said while holding the wooden sandal bigger than its body.

”I don’t know what Dim Dim just said, but did it just take pity on us?” Chuck asked as he gasped for breath.

”Something like that,” Alex replied. ”Dim Dim, please give me a Cola Cola. Please.”

”Dim!” Dim Dim took out a canned Cola Cola from its dimensional storage and handed it to Alex.

Of course, it didn’t forget to give Chuck and Renard their own cans of Cola Cola. The two thanked it, popped open the tab, and drank the sweet, carbonated drink that only Dim Dim could provide.

”Hah... I feel alive again,” Chuck sighed in happiness. ”Just where does Dim Dim get this?”

”Dim Dim!” Dim Dim said.

”A trade secret huh?” Chuck smiled wryly. ”I bet if you sell these to the nobles, you’ll get rich easily.”

Alex smiled faintly. This particular Cola Cola was special. It gave a boost to stamina and mana recovery, both things they needed badly at the moment.

’I guess going to the 16th Floor will not be easy,’ Alex thought. ’The experience points are decent, but I really need to fight that Boss Monster to get that Unique Item.’

Although Dim Dim made short work of the monsters, Alex underestimated their numbers.

Right now, they couldn’t move their bodies from exhaustion. His arm was also sore from swinging his hammer nonstop for the past hour.

”Hah... I’d kill to have a massage right now,” Alex muttered.

Suddenly, he felt a pair of small but strong hands start to rub his shoulders.

”Ah... that’s the spot,” Alex sighed. ”Thank you, Chuc—”

Alex blinked. Chuck was still sitting right across him, looking at him with wide eyes.

Renard was a few meters away from them and had also noticed that someone was behind Alex.

For a brief moment, Alex felt the hair on the back of his head stand on end.

Forcing himself to calm down, he turned around to see a cute girl smiling back at him while massaging his shoulders.

”... Lala?” Alex blinked. The last person he expected to see in this dungeon was one of Latifa’s Alter, Lala.

However, since Latifa’s rank wasn’t high enough to summon Lala at the moment, this only meant that the one giving him a massage was actually Reverse Lala.

”Papa is right!” Lala smiled. ”Does my massage feel good nano?”

”Y-Yes, it feels good,” Alex replied. ”What are you doing here?”

”I came because I miss Papa?” Lala blinked innocently.

”I mean... What about your true Papa? You know, the Papa in your world?” Alex asked.

”Ah... he’s too busy *beeping* Sis Eva and *beeping* Latifa right now,” Lala replied. ”That’s why I came here to see Papa nano!”

”I-I see...” Alex’s smile stiffened before he glanced at Chuck, who was giving him the middle finger, and at Renard, who averted his gaze.

Alex wished that Lala would hold back a bit and not try to ruin his social life in front of his friends.

He just hoped that in the future, she wouldn’t appear in public to say such things. If she really did, Alex feared he might not be able to handle the consequences of her action!

The young man already had a bad reputation. If Lala finished him off, he would no longer have the strength to face his classmates, especially the boys, who would definitely curse him to oblivion out of envy and jealousy.
