Endless Leveling Done Right!

Chapter 217: Do You Think He’s A Prodigy?

Student Council Room...

The student council wasn’t just a symbol of authority among the students. They were part of the core that ensured the academy’s structure and stability.

Beyond enforcing rules and regulations, its members were responsible for planning and executing major events, such as the cultural festival. Not to mention, they had a variety of tasks far beyond just that.

From handling inter-club disputes to overseeing emergency protocols, the council’s decisions shaped student life on every level.

That said, they had eyes and ears all over the academy. For every information they learn, they would adjust accordingly as soon as possible.

And today was one of their regular weekly meetings, where they discussed relevant news from the past few days.

”It seems the person who saved you is really special, Lucius,” Theo said with a smile. ”Lately, he had been the topic of discussion, especially after he became the top Ranker of the challenges in the Seventh Training Room. Yesterday, he even managed to beat Professor Arienna in the Battle Choir.

”According to my sources, it was the professor who went to challenge Alex. And yet, she still lost. Can I hear your thoughts about this incident?”

Lucius was the adopted son of Professor Gareth. He was the same young man Alex had saved from the Chrono Maze.

Since it was an important matter that concerned a Demon Worshiper, Lucius had no choice but to report the incident to the student council president.

”Alex is... a very mysterious person,” Lucius replied. ”I don’t know what he is thinking, but I can guarantee that his skills are the real deal.”

Theo rested his chin over the back of his intertwined hands as he focused his attention on the young man who still had more things to say.

”Frankly, I’m not too surprised that he won against Professor Arienna,” Lucius added. ”He just has that sense of confidence that only prodigies have.”

Not only did the Treasurer of the Student Council owe his life to Alex, but he had also experienced fighting alongside the young man.

The Chrono Maze had become the graveyard of countless souls, and yet, when Alex was there, he treated the place as if it were his own backyard.

He even went as far as to farm magic crystals, as if he were just going to a farm to pick some cabbages.

”Do you think he is a prodigy?” Cassandra asked.

”Do you even need to ask?” Lucius shrugged. ”The records in the Seventh Training Room and Professor Arienna’s defeat are more than enough proof to support that claim.”

The other members of the student council nodded in agreement because only a prodigy could do such a thing.

However, Alex was only a Rank 2 Oathkeeper. Frankly, it was nothing compared to some of the First Years who already reached Rank 3 and Rank 4 in their respective job classes.

”His club members have also shown great potential,” the Sergeant of Arms of the Student Council, Dante Krev, commented with a grin. ”I was even planning to scout that First Year, Renard Vale, to become my successor, but he refused and told me that he doesn’t trust me, even though I told him I’m a member of the student council.”

A hearty and loud laugh escaped his lips, as if he found the person who rejected him to be quite a cute junior.

Dante was in his third year and stood at a commanding height of six foot and five inches.

He was broad-shouldered and had a muscular frame. Although he wasn’t ugly, he was simply too buff and looked imposing, more than enough to make babies cry at a single sight.

As such, no one was more fitting than him to become the man who upheld the rules of the student council through brute strength, punches, and kicks.

His sharp features, bronze-toned skin, and tongue that didn’t mind hurling profanities had made the students admire and fear him at the same time.

He also goes by the nickname Iron Hound due to his tendency to go crazy like a mad dog whenever he is triggered into a rampage.

”Well, let’s put aside Endless Horizon for now,” Theo stated. ”Dante, Cassandra, how is the progress of the preparation for the Inter-Class Battle Royale. Both of you said that it will be very different from the one that happened last year, correct?”

”Of course, it’s different!” Dante replied with a devilish smile on his face. ”We made sure that it would be harder, so we reduced the limit of survivors to only ten people.”

Each class had forty students max, and since the First Years were composed of Class F up to Class A, there were a total of nearly three hundred students participating in the Battle Royale.

”What about Class F?” Theo asked. ”Did you see anyone with potential?”

Class F was filled with the lowest-ranked students in the academy, and their numbers were lower compared to the other classes.

Currently, Class F only had twenty people. Their classes were handled by ”special teachers” who were deemed skillful enough to handle them.

They rarely had the opportunity to share activities with the other classes since they were practically the ”problem children” of the academy.

However, the students of Class F still had a chance at redemption.

Those who showed exceptional promise could transfer to another class—any except Class A—once they proved themselves worthy.

The Battle Royale was one such opportunity, a special event where Class F students could catch the professors’ attention and earn the chance to change classes.

”Well, two people caught my eye,” Dante replied. ”However, I would like to see their abilities more in this upcoming Battle Royale.”

”Two people?” Theo arched an eyebrow. ”Their names?”

”Evangeline Feylune, and Vaan Damne,” Dante answered.

”Ah.. Those two.” Theo nodded in understanding.

As the student council president, it was his duty to check if any of the First Years were worth training as future student council members.

The two names that Dante had mentioned truly had potential but were too stubborn to follow the rules of the academy.

’They might have also purposely failed their Class Allocation Rankings, so they will be sent to Class F,’ Theo thought.

There were some students who wanted to make a grand entrance in the annual Battle Royale to show their prowess, and the jump from Class F to a higher class was part of this grand entrance to the academy life.

”Just remember, I don’t want any problems happening in the Inter-Class Battle Royale,” Theo declared. ”Make sure that the security and the contingency measures are chosen properly.

”Deaths among the students will not be tolerated and is not an option. I don’t know what kind of gimmicks you plan to add this year, but make sure to put the safety of the students into consideration.”

””Yes, President!””

Dante and Cassandra both promised to take care of everything.

Meanwhile, in the Mistral Weave Forest...

Several students wearing red armbands wandered around the forest.

Each of them held a bag of artifacts, which they chose to bury in set locations.

Dim Dim, who was perched on top of one of the Crimson-Furred Throwing Monkeys, silently looked at one of the students burying an artifact on the ground.

The little bun and his friends watched in silence as the young man left after doing his task.

Alex had assigned the Dim Sum God an important mission, which would play an important role in the upcoming event, turning the Mistral Weave Forest into a slaughterhouse.
