Master of Nine Stars

Bai Ming didn’t need to change a thing. The Water Blades in her hands had already become Blood-Water Blades. She knew that as long as she maintained this position, victory would soon be hers. Rong Taotao would quickly pass out from blood loss!

She just needed a little time. Just a little.

But Rong Taotao had no choice but to change!

He couldn’t beat Gao Lingwei in an arm wrestle, and he couldn’t beat Bai Ming either.

Continuing like this was a dead end.

’Since my hands are useless, and you’re content with the way things are...’

”AAAGH!” Rong Taotao roared. He was straddling Bai Ming’s abdomen, his feet already planted on either side of her head. Suddenly, Rong Taotao lifted one foot and brought it crashing down!

Starfield Soul Skill—Star-Stepping Split!

’My hands can’t move, but my feet can!’

Rong Taotao’s left foot, which came down heavily, didn’t use Star-Stepping Split. It was just a simple stomp aimed at Bai Ming’s head, intended to hold it in place.

But his right foot, without a doubt, was unleashing Star-Stepping Split!

’Full power. Maximum damage!’

Bai Ming’s pupils constricted. She no longer dared to maintain the status quo. Though she felt it was a pity, she had no choice but to make a move!

Bai Ming violently twisted her head to the side. At the same time, she kicked off the ground, arching her back to throw Rong Taotao off.

But...the attacker always has the advantage when it comes to timing. The defender can only react to the attacker’s moves, and that takes time.

In the instant before Bai Ming arched her back to throw him off, Rong Taotao’s foot had already come down!

”BANG!”

In an instant, shattered stars sprayed everywhere!

”Hiss...” Bai Ming’s head went blank. Rong Taotao’s right foot landed right next to her ear. A huge Soul Power Wave erupted, and the scattered stardust exploded outwards!

For a moment, Bai Ming’s head was ringing.

She should have been sent flying by the impact, but Rong Taotao’s left foot pinned her in place!

And Rong Taotao, who had been ”bucked” up by Bai Ming’s arching back, used the momentum to get to his feet and stomp down again!

Starfield Soul Skill—Star-Stepping Split!!!

”BANG! BANG! BANG!”

Star-Stepping Split was originally an explosive-type Soul Skill, meant to force enemies back.

But to keep Bai Ming from being thrown away, Rong Taotao stomped on her face, one foot after another!

With just the second stomp, Bai Ming’s head was driven deep into the green turf, stomped right into the ground by Rong Taotao!

One stomp, two stomps, three stomps...

For a moment, the audience was in an uproar, watching as Rong Taotao brutally pummeled the girl...

The announcer, Dai Liunian, sucked in a sharp breath. ”Hiss... This... This...”

As he stammered, Rong Taotao’s Star-Stepping Split continued relentlessly!

On the field, the referee ran over quickly, observing the situation carefully to avoid a misjudgment. He had a whistle in his mouth, ready to blow it at any moment.

But just then, Rong Taotao suddenly crouched down, grabbed Bai Ming by the neck, and yanked her up.

’Ye Nanxi!’

’You stopped me from grabbing someone before, so I’ll find someone to grab myself!’

The referee, whistle in his mouth, clearly hesitated and didn’t blow it. Bai Ming was obviously still struggling!

Rong Taotao, however, wrapped one arm tightly around Bai Ming, pinning her flailing arms.

He didn’t take advantage of the opportunity to keep attacking while Bai Ming was stunned from the heavy blows to her head. Why?

What on earth was Rong Taotao doing?

Just as the audience, their faces filled with horror, couldn’t even bear to look, wondering what Rong Taotao was going to do now...

They saw Rong Taotao wrap one arm around Bai Ming’s body, holding the dazed girl from behind as his gaze drifted toward the southwest corner of the battlefield.

Then, Rong Taotao roared, ”BAI! SHAN!!!”

A few seconds earlier, when the ”BANGS” echoed from across the field, Baishan had already looked over. Now, his face was drained of all color. The Sharp Water Blade in mid-air had only just finished forming.

In his line of sight, Rong Taotao held Bai Ming from behind, formed his hand into a blade, and slowly drew it across Bai Ming’s throat...

It was a classic throat-slitting gesture!

Of course, Rong Taotao didn’t actually attack. There was no so-called blade, and Bai Ming suffered no further harm.

Rong Taotao’s action was more symbolic.

”GULP.” Baishan’s Adam’s apple bobbed. The hairs on his body stood on end!

They were far apart, but... Baishan could see the murderous intent filling Rong Taotao’s eyes with perfect clarity!

’Is he joking? Even if he said he was, would I dare to bet on it?’

’Taking a step back, Rong Taotao could have seized the opportunity to take my sister out of the fight completely. In a 2v1 situation, how could I possibly win?’

’Gao Lingwei is still protected by her Iron Snow Armor. My Sharp Water Blade would need at least a few strikes to actually break through it. This...’

Pff...

The Sharp Water Blade that had formed in mid-air quietly shattered, scattering into a shower of water droplets.

Baishan raised his hand high, but it had nothing to do with a Soul Skill. He was facing the referee.

Gao Lingwei’s body trembled slightly. She finally managed to freeze the Water Prison Whip wrapped around her wrist, immediately shattering the resulting Ice Whip with one hand.

She also realized what was happening and didn’t press the attack.

Gao Lingwei, her feet still bound by a Water Prison Whip, stood her ground and turned her head. She saw Rong Taotao gently laying Bai Ming—her clothes torn and her gaze vacant—onto the grass...

”TWEET~!” After confirming one last time, the referee finally blew the whistle. ”Baishan’s team forfeits! Gao Lingwei and Rong Taotao’s team wins!”

The stands fell silent.

Everyone had seen Rong Taotao’s gesture and was waiting for Baishan’s response. But when Baishan actually forfeited, it seemed people still hadn’t processed it.

Just then, Dai Liunian slammed his palm on the table!

”SMACK!”

Dai Liunian was heard roaring with excitement: ”Who doesn’t get to celebrate a big win now and then!?

But me, Rong Taotao—I celebrate every single day!!!”
