Master of Nine Stars

Regarding the name ”Inner Soul Map,” I honestly feel it’s a perfect fit for the system.

Now, about the issue of reusing the name Yang Chunxi.

Initially, I wanted a character name that included the character for ”spring” (春). But with a gem like ”Chunxi” already setting the bar so high, those two words were all I could think about. I just love the name that much.

When I think of the name Chunxi, I can even picture her radiant smile...

It comes from Laozi’s *Tao Te Ching*: ”The people are joyous and bustling, as if ascending a terrace in springtime.” It describes the beautiful scene of people coming and going during a golden era of peace and prosperity.

In the end, I still couldn’t find a suitable alternative, so I went with Yang Chunxi.

I’m very sorry for the confusion this has caused everyone. I’ll be more careful in the future to prevent similar issues from happening again.

However, since it’s already been written, I won’t be changing it. Besides, the issue is quite easy to resolve.

As the plot unfolds, it will be very easy to distinguish Teacher Yang from Senior Sister Song of the previous book. After all, they are two different people living in different worlds.

The name was reused, and it caused confusion. I hold my hands up and admit my mistake, and I will definitely be more careful in the future.

But for those who say the plot and settings are basically unchanged—that is complete and utter slander. It’s absolute nonsense.

This new book—from the protagonist’s personal history, family, and supporting cast, to the nine types of Soul Techniques, the special Soul Slots, the exclusive positional Soul Skills, the ability to cultivate nine types of Attribute Soul Skills without inlaying Soul Pearls, the Lifebound Soul Beast, and the nine counteracting Attributes...

I have changed and innovated a ton of things, making the setting and cultivation system completely different from the previous book.

Even with the Inner Soul Map, the way rewards are increased is fundamentally different from the last book. The Potential Value cap is clearly defined, and the Potential Points system is plain to see.

In the previous book, you could directly use skill points to increase your Combat Readiness. In this book, however, the system can only increase your potential and raise your cultivation ceiling. This is a fundamental difference.

In the previous book, even though the protagonist trained diligently and mastered most of his techniques on his own, the existence of skill points always created a sense of getting something for nothing. I reflected on this for a long time, which is why I completely scrapped the original system and changed it to its current form.

I’ve given this a lot of serious thought and have been working hard to find better ways to provide everyone with an improved reading experience.

In the four months since finishing my last novel, I’ve been racking my brains, implementing many changes and innovations. My abilities may be limited, but I’ve truly poured my heart into creating this new world and have prepared a great deal.

We’re six Chapters in, and all the changes and innovations I’ve mentioned are laid out plainly in these first six Chapters. You all have sharp eyes; you can see it for yourselves. So, when it comes to the claims made by certain individuals, just treat them as a joke and move on.

When it comes to writing, let’s set aside success or failure for a moment. My writing skills are limited, after all. But when it comes to my attitude, I am absolutely serious.

One more thing: regarding the connection between *Master of Nine Stars* and *Nine-Star Poison Milk*.

To be clear: the two books are connected.

*Master of Nine Stars* is the second installment in the Starfall Series.

However, purely in terms of this book’s story, the connection between the two is minimal—so small as to be negligible. It doesn’t matter which one you read first; your reading experience won’t be affected at all.

Oh, by the way, I also wrote *Nine-Star Poison Milk*, a completed novel of four million characters. While you’re waiting for new Chapters of this book, you can go and binge-read the old one! o(*￣︶￣*)o

Let me share something from the heart. I’ve just signed a new contract, and my career is just beginning to gain some traction. I don’t want to let this contract down. So this time, I’ve come with the utmost sincerity, rolling up my sleeves and ready to give it everything I’ve got.

I must admit, my abilities are limited. I don’t have any Potential Points to spend on raising my ”Writing Talent” cap. In the future, there may be moments that feel similar to the previous book—after all, they come from the same author and are part of the same series. But I promise that, to the best of my ability, I will do everything I can to explore the right path forward in my writing.

I believe that as long as I keep thinking about how to write, and as long as I keep putting in the effort, you will all see my sincerity.

Ultimately, whether I succeed or fail will depend on all of your generous support.

The new book has just launched, and thanks to all of your wonderful support, it’s doing well. I’m incredibly grateful!

[Bows with clasped hands]

I will continue to work hard and do my best to write an interesting world for you all.
