Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 798: Chapter 602 Yang Mingzhao’s Team_2

“Hehe, Uncle Wu, don’t be angry. Trust me, what we’re about to do next is big, and I assure you it won’t be boring!” Yang Mingzhao said.

Chen Buyu looked curiously at Wu Zheng and the other seven talented young men.

But those seven talented youths were full of confusion, not understanding why Mr. Si brought them here.

“What big thing are you planning to do?” Wu Zheng looked around the camp, “This isn’t a bandit’s den, is it?”

“Cough cough, no, not bandits, not bandits!” Yang Mingzhao hurriedly denied.

Being bandits was just too demeaning and lacked prestige.

Yang Mingzhao felt that being bandits was rather embarrassing.

“We are the rebel army!”

“Rebel army!” Wu Zheng didn’t react at first, but soon he looked at Yang Mingzhao with a shocked expression, “Are you planning a rebellion?”

“Yes, a rebellion, how about it? Are you interested in joining me for a big fight, Uncle Wu?” Yang Mingzhao’s face was full of anticipation.

Wu Zheng’s expression was extremely odd, looking at Yang Mingzhao as if seeing a bizarre flower.

“No way!”

“Come on, Uncle Wu, I need you to hold down the fort here. If you’re not here, I won’t feel at ease!” Yang Mingzhao grabbed Wu Zheng’s sleeve, fearing he might run away.

“Don’t get me into trouble, if the Island Master finds out, he’ll definitely chop off my head!” Wu Zheng shook his head repeatedly.

However, the seven talented youths didn’t show much opposition.

In fact, when they heard about staging a rebellion, they even seemed interested.

Rebellion!

The idea sounded quite fun!

As for whom they would rebel against, they didn’t care, as long as it wasn’t against the Yang family.

Their backgrounds were very diverse; there were island residents, refugees who had moved from Fuhai to Star Moon Island, and original slaves of the Yang family, but regardless of their origins, they didn’t have much attachment to Da Rong since they all grew up on Star Moon Island.

“My Dad has gone out, and it’ll be a long time before he returns home!” Yang Mingzhao said.

Wu Zheng looked at him speechlessly.

He really hadn’t expected Yang Mingzhao would plan something so major!

But why did his heart start to stir with excitement?

Rebellion?

It seemed quite interesting!

If it were Ding Qiu, Wu Zhan, or Luo Jingsong, they definitely wouldn’t mess around with Yang Mingzhao, but Wu Zheng always had a restless heart.

“Don’t worry, Uncle Wu, if my Dad blames anyone, I’ll take all the responsibility!” Yang Mingzhao assured, patting his chest.

“Can you handle it?” Wu Zheng was skeptical.

Yang Mingzhao felt guilty, but still said, “What can my Dad do? Kill me?”

Wu Zheng stroked his beard, pondered a bit, “Probably not, but he might break your legs!”

“No way, absolutely not, my Dad isn’t that heartless! Besides, my Mom wouldn’t let my Dad break my legs!” Yang Mingzhao said.

“Madam might punish you even more harshly!” Wu Zheng reminded.

Yang Mingzhao blinked, “Really?”

“What do you think, Mr. Si?” Wu Zheng asked.

Yang Mingzhao anxiously thought, “Possibly!”

Throughout his life, Yang Zhenshan and Yu Qingyi had played the roles of a kind father and strict mother. It was uncertain whether Yang Zhenshan would break his legs, but Yu Qingyi might indeed severely reprimand him.

Thinking of Yu Qingyi’s stern demeanor, Yang Mingzhao deflated.

“My Mom wouldn’t really be that harsh, would she?”

Seeing his expression, Wu Zheng couldn’t help but burst into hearty laughter.

“Scared now, aren’t you?”

Yang Mingzhao felt ridiculed, and his spirit suddenly surged, “This young master isn’t scared! Humph, if I have to take a beating, then so be it!”

“Alright then, I’ll just wait to see you get beaten!” Wu Zheng said, arms folded and looking forward to the drama, holding his sword.

“So Uncle Wu is not leaving!” Yang Mingzhao exclaimed in delight.

“He’s not leaving. Once I get a message from the madam, I will capture and bring you back!” Wu Zheng said.

Although Yang Mingzhao still felt somewhat uneasy, the fact that Wu Zheng was willing to stay filled him with immense joy, and he cast aside his worries.

After some commotion, Yang Mingzhao and his group settled down in the fortress.

The night passed uneventfully, and the next day Yang Mingzhao began to take action.

“How many young and strong have we trained?”

In the main hall of the stronghold, Yang Mingzhao gathered everyone to discuss matters.

Currently, under his command, he had two attendants, four guards, seven young people from Star Moon Island, and six managers from the valley.

These six managers were Chen Buyu, Chen Buren, Chen Jianghua, Li Sandao, Wang Zhaohua, and Song Wenlong.

Chen Buyu and Chen Buren were cousins, while the other four were previously soldiers from the garrison’s military households.

They all followed Chen Buyu’s father in rebellion by killing officials.

Deng Xing replied, “The first batch of 200 young and strong have completed two months of basic training, and the second batch of 500 have been training for over a month!”

It was now mid-September, more than three months since Yang Mingzhao left Three Arrows Valley.

“How are the training results?” Yang Mingzhao asked.

“Uh, they’re pretty bad!” Deng Xing evaluated.

Chen Buyu was shocked and looked at Deng Xing, “Brother Deng, I think they’re doing well. Brother Deng is very skilled at training soldiers, and the brothers can now follow orders strictly and show great authority!”

Chen Buren and the others nodded repeatedly, admiring Deng Xing.

To them, Deng Xing was indeed incredible, having transformed several hundred young and strong into competent figures within just a few months, much better than their past selves.

They were once soldiers too, but could not compare to the youths trained by Deng Xing.

However, Deng Xing’s face turned red, “Young Master, these are the worst troops I have ever trained!”

Aren’t they the worst?

Even the 200 young and strong trained for three months were very poor in his eyes, and would not even qualify to join the Camp in Chongshan Town.

“Cough cough, don’t set your expectations too high; they’re not like the troops you used to train!” Yang Mingzhao probably understood where the gap lay.

“The brothers still need to continue training, but we need to restructure!”

“Five men form a squad, two squads make a platoon, three platoons a team, three teams a sentry, and five sentries make a Bazong.”

“We currently have 700 people, temporarily forming seven sentries, organized into two Bazongs!”

“Zhao Kai, Zhang Mo, each of you take charge of a sentry, as Sentry Commanders. Chen Buren, Chen Jianghua, you five act as deputy officers of each sentry. Learn well from Zhao Kai and the others. They are also proficient in training troops and have some knowledge of military strategy. You all need to learn more!”

Yang Mingzhao instructed.

Yang Mingzhao was not foolish; on the contrary, he was very smart.

Although nominally the head of Three Arrows Valley, everything there was actually managed by Chen Buyu and others.

But Chen Buyu and the others, being from military households, had average abilities and insights.

Although Zhao Kai and Zhang Mo, among seven others, had no experience leading troops, they were young men trained by Star Moon Island, had been educated, and studied various books, including military strategies.

Perhaps they couldn’t even be considered armchair generals, but at the very least, they knew much more than Chen Buyu and the others.

He had to consider the feelings of Chen Buren and others, as well as the capabilities of everyone, while also keeping a firm grip on power.

“Your subordinates obey!” Zhao Kai and the others quickly bowed in response.

Chen Buren and the others were a bit slower to react; after Zhao Kai and the others had finished speaking, they then stood up to accept the command.

“Deng Xing, Han Lin, you two will be Bazong. Deng Xing will lead four sentries, Han Lin three. We still need two deputy sentry commanders; pick suitable people for the roles, and we’ll fill the complete formation when we have enough hands!” Yang Mingzhao continued.

“Yes!” Deng Xing and Han Lin responded.

Yang Mingzhao added, “Ma Yan, you will be the Governance Officer, select people who can read and calculate within the valley to start building our framework.”

Ma Yan was a servant by Yang Mingzhao’s side, but he was not to be underestimated.

The attendants trained by the Yang family had basic literacy and numerical skills, and both Ma Yan and Lu Bo sometimes acted as stewards.

Their management capabilities were definitely far superior to Chen Buyu and the others.
