Chapter 1255: Chapter 1255:- There is no Mercy in War

The remaining two Sixth Order cultivators were already flying in two opposite directions at their maximum speed. Neither of them had any intention of staying behind to fight Aditya. After witnessing how easily he had killed their companions, they had already understood that fighting him was no different from committing suicide.

Both cultivators had realised that Aditya possessed some kind of special ability that allowed him to teleport instantly from one place to another. Of course, there was also the possibility that his movement speed was simply so fast that their eyes could not follow him. Regardless of which explanation was correct, one thing was certain. Aditya was an extremely dangerous opponent whom neither of them could hope to defeat.

Meanwhile, Aditya remained floating in the air, watching the two cultivators escaping in opposite directions. His expression was extremely cold. After what these people had done to Athena, there was no way he would allow even one of them to escape with his life.

Aditya slowly turned his head toward the eastern direction. The Sixth Order cultivator escaping in that direction had already traveled more than three hundred meters away from him. The man was flying as fast as his body could manage, using almost all his strength to increase the distance between himself and Aditya.

With every passing second, the cultivator felt that his chances of surviving were increasing. He did not care about his high-ranking position in the Emperor Faction’s military anymore. He did not care about his duties, his reputation, or even the outcome of the civil war. At that moment, the only thing that mattered to him was escaping from this terrifying monster with his life.

When the cultivator realised that he had already put several hundred meters between himself and Aditya, a small feeling of joy finally appeared in his heart. He began believing that he might actually survive this terrible encounter.

However, just as he was beginning to feel relieved, the space directly in front of him suddenly distorted.

Before the cultivator could understand what was happening, Aditya appeared right in front of him. His left dragon claw immediately shot forward and grabbed the man’s throat, stopping his escape in an instant.

The cultivator’s eyes widened in horror. The small amount of hope he had felt only a moment earlier completely disappeared as he found himself staring directly into Aditya’s cold eyes.

”You think you can escape after harming my women? Big mistake.” Aditya said in an extremely cold tone while tightening his grip around the man’s throat.

”I was wrong! Please! Please let me go! I don’t want to die!” The Sixth Order cultivator begged desperately while grabbing Aditya’s arm with both hands.

However, Aditya’s expression did not change even slightly. He simply looked at the frightened man as if his desperate begging meant absolutely nothing to him.

”Let you go? This is a war. This is the battlefield of that war. There are no rules here. Only the strong win, and the weak die.” Aditya replied coldly.

Before the cultivator could say anything else, Aditya drove his dragon claw straight into the man’s chest. His sharp claws tore through the flesh and bones before reaching his heart. With one powerful movement, Aditya grabbed the heart and ripped it completely out of the man’s body.

Blood immediately poured from the terrible wound in his chest, soaking his clothes before falling toward the ground below. The cultivator’s body shook violently as his eyes widened in complete horror. His mouth opened, but no words came out.

Aditya slowly raised his left dragon claw, revealing the man’s heart resting between his blood-covered fingers. The heart was still pulsing weakly, while blood continued dripping from it and running down his claws.

The cultivator stared at his own heart for one final moment before the remaining life disappeared from his eyes. Aditya released his throat, allowing his lifeless body to fall toward the battlefield below.

Without wasting another second, Aditya turned his attention toward the final Sixth Order cultivator.

By this time, the last cultivator had already managed to put almost seven hundred meters between himself and Aditya’s current position. Unlike his companion, he had been escaping toward the opposite side of the battlefield.

The man was flying at his maximum speed, desperately trying to get as far away as possible. He had not dared to look back even once, fearing that slowing down for a single moment would allow that monster to catch him.

As the distance continued increasing, the cultivator slowly began feeling hopeful. He believed that Aditya would probably focus on killing his companion first, giving him enough time to escape.

However, just as he was beginning to feel a little joy, the space directly behind him suddenly distorted.

In the next instant, Aditya appeared behind him.

Before the cultivator could sense his arrival, Aditya’s left dragon claw shot forward and grabbed him by the back of his neck. The sudden force immediately stopped the man’s movement, causing his entire body to jerk backwards.

The cultivator’s eyes widened in horror as he realised that someone had grabbed him. He instinctively tried to turn around, but before he could scream, beg for mercy, or even understand what was happening, Aditya tightened his grip.

His sharp dragon claws sank deep into the man’s neck. With one powerful movement, Aditya tore through his neck and severed his head from his body.

Blood burst from the severed neck as the cultivator’s head separated from his shoulders. His headless body remained floating for a brief moment before losing all strength and falling toward the ground.

Aditya released the severed head, allowing it to fall after the body. His left dragon claw was completely covered in fresh blood, which slowly mixed with the heavy rain pouring from the dark clouds above.

After killing the last Sixth Order cultivator, Aditya slowly raised his head and looked around the enormous battlefield. The heavy rain continued pouring from the dark clouds, while countless crimson lightning bolts moved through the sky. Everywhere he looked, soldiers from the Anti-Emperor Faction and the Emperor Faction were still fighting against each other.

Earlier, Aditya had rushed toward Athena because he had noticed that Freya was already heading toward Lilith and Amelia to help them. Since Freya was taking care of those two, he had decided to help Athena, who had been surrounded by ten powerful Sixth Order cultivators.

And now that all ten cultivators had been killed, Aditya no longer needed to worry about Athena’s safety. Lilith and Amelia had already been rescued by Freya, while Athena was recovering from her injuries high above the battlefield.

With everyone he cared about finally safe, Aditya decided that it was time to begin the real slaughter.

However, just as he was about to make his move, Aditya suddenly noticed something happening in another part of the battlefield. His grandfather, Malakor Harrington, was currently facing three Seventh Order cultivators from the Emperor Faction. Judging from their positions and expressions, it seemed that some kind of confrontation was taking place between them.

Aditya looked in their direction for a few seconds before turning his attention back toward the battlefield. He was not particularly worried about his grandfather. After all, he knew very well how powerful Malakor was. However, since there were three Seventh Order cultivators confronting him, Aditya decided to send someone to support him.

With a single thought, Aditya activated his ability to summon one of his servants. After reaching the Sixth Order, Aditya had gained the ability to summon any of his servants directly to his side whenever he wished. Regardless of where his servants were, he could teleport them to his location through their connection with him.

In the next instant, the space beside Aditya suddenly distorted, and a figure appeared out of nowhere.

It was none other than Lou Han.

Lou Han immediately turned toward Aditya, waiting for his master’s instructions. However, Aditya did not bother looking at him. Instead, he simply glanced toward the distant location where Malakor Harrington was confronting the three Seventh Order cultivators.

”Go to my grandfather and support him. It seems those three Seventh Order cultivators are getting slightly out of touch with reality. Make sure those three Seventh Order cultivators know their place.” Aditya ordered in an extremely cold tone.

”Understood, Master.” Lou Han replied before immediately preparing to carry out his orders. Aditya did not even turn around to see whether Lou Han had left. He had already given his instructions, and he trusted that his servant would carry them out without any problems.

Instead, Aditya slowly raised his left hand and extended his index finger. A tiny amount of crimson flame suddenly appeared at the tip of his finger before taking the shape of a small, perfectly round sphere.

The sphere was only about the size of an ordinary human eyeball. At first glance, it looked like nothing more than a small ball of crimson fire floating above his fingertip.

He slowly began pouring his mana into the small sphere of crimson flame. As more mana entered it, the flames inside began moving faster, while the crimson color became increasingly deeper and brighter.

Strangely, despite the enormous amount of mana being added, the sphere did not increase in size. Instead, Aditya was compressing all the crimson flame energy into the same small space.

Seconds continued passing as he poured more and more mana into the sphere. The amount of energy contained inside it was already far greater than what such a tiny object should have been able to hold.

However, Aditya continued adding even more. Five seconds passed, followed by ten seconds, and then fifteen seconds.

By the time fifteen seconds had passed, an enormous amount of compressed crimson flame mana had been gathered inside the tiny sphere. Although it was still only the size of a human eyeball, the energy contained within it had reached a terrifying level.

The surface of the sphere was now glowing with an extremely bright crimson light. Even the heavy rain falling around Aditya could not reach it, as the droplets immediately turned into steam whenever they came too close.

Aditya then slowly turned his attention toward the Emperor Faction’s backline. Unlike the soldiers fighting at the front, the soldiers stationed at the back were mainly responsible for providing support. Large groups of mages were constantly launching powerful spells toward the Anti-Emperor Faction’s army, while archers were releasing thousands of arrows into the sky.

There were also several large cannons positioned behind their defensive lines. These cannons were continuously firing powerful attacks toward the Anti-Emperor Faction’s soldiers, causing serious damage whenever their attacks managed to reach their targets.

Because these soldiers were positioned far behind the main battlefield, they were relatively safe from direct attacks. Most of them were focused entirely on supporting their companions at the front and had no idea that Aditya was currently looking in their direction.

After choosing his target, Aditya slowly pointed his left index finger toward the enemy’s backline. Using his control over gravity, he gathered a powerful force behind the tiny sphere of crimson flame. He carefully adjusted its direction before releasing it with a small movement of his finger.

The moment the sphere left his fingertip, the powerful gravitational force immediately pushed it forward at an unbelievable speed. The tiny crimson sphere shot through the heavy rain like a bullet. Its speed was so great that the soldiers below could not even see it passing above their heads.

Within a very short period, the sphere had already crossed a large part of the battlefield and reached the Emperor Faction’s backline.

At that moment, the enemy mages were still preparing their next round of spells, while the archers and cannon operators continued attacking the Anti-Emperor Faction’s soldiers. None of them noticed the tiny crimson sphere approaching their position.

And even if someone had noticed it, there would have been almost no time to react. The sphere struck the ground directly in the middle of the Emperor Faction’s backline, between several groups of mages and the large cannons positioned behind them.

For a brief instant, nothing seemed to happen. Then, all the enormous amount of compressed crimson flame energy contained inside the tiny sphere was suddenly released at once.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
