Chapter 1241: Chapter 1241:- Puppet Master

Amelia continued controlling the roots while slowly moving through the battlefield. Unlike Freya, she did not need to rush toward every enemy herself. As long as the soldiers were within the range of her abilities, she could attack them from a distance using the roots hidden beneath the ground.

Meanwhile, Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, was fighting in a completely different way from the other three women. Unlike Freya and Amelia, who were mainly focused on killing enemy soldiers, or Lilith, who was using her charm to create confusion among the enemy ranks,

Athena was paying much more attention to the overall situation of the battlefield.

Instead of charging recklessly into the enemy ranks, Athena remained with a large group of Anti-Emperor Faction soldiers. She continued fighting alongside them while also giving orders and making sure that the soldiers around her did not suffer unnecessary losses.

Whenever she noticed that a certain part of their formation was becoming weak, Athena would immediately order nearby soldiers to move forward and support that position. If the enemy soldiers attempted to surround one of their groups, she would quickly notice their movements and order her own soldiers to change their positions before they became trapped.

Because Athena was fighting alongside them, the soldiers under her command felt much more confident. They knew that as long as they followed her orders, they would have a much better chance of surviving the battle.

However, Athena’s most important responsibility was dealing with powerful enemy cultivators who could easily kill large numbers of ordinary soldiers.

On a battlefield where hundreds of thousands of cultivators were fighting, the difference between a Fifth Order cultivator and a Sixth Order cultivator was extremely large. A single powerful Sixth Order cultivator could easily kill hundreds of lower-order soldiers if nobody stopped them.

Athena naturally understood this danger. Therefore, whenever she noticed an enemy Sixth Order cultivator approaching her soldiers, she would immediately move forward and personally fight that opponent before they could cause serious damage to her troops.

This allowed the lower-order soldiers to continue fighting against enemies closer to their own strength instead of being forced to face opponents they had almost no chance of defeating.

Even while fighting against powerful enemies, Athena continued paying attention to the movements of the soldiers around her. She did not allow herself to become so focused on her own battle that she forgot about the people she was supposed to protect.

Whenever the enemy tried to break through their formation, she would quickly give new orders. If some of her soldiers were being pushed backwards, she would send support to help them. And whenever an enemy Sixth Order cultivator appeared, Athena made sure to stop them before they could begin killing large numbers of her soldiers.

Although her fighting style was not as eye-catching as Freya’s or as frightening as Amelia’s, Athena was playing an equally important role in the battle. By protecting the soldiers around her and making sure they fought together properly, she was helping the Anti-Emperor Faction avoid many unnecessary losses.

Meanwhile, Lilith was still busy controlling enemy soldiers when she suddenly heard a loud scream coming from another part of the battlefield. The scream was so loud that it briefly caught her attention, causing her to stop and look in that direction.

When Lilith turned her head, she saw Freya moving through a large group of Emperor Faction soldiers at an incredible speed. Wherever the Goddess of War passed, enemy soldiers immediately fell to the ground, and several heads could be seen flying through the air.

Even from a distance, Lilith could clearly see how quickly Freya was killing the enemy soldiers. Her two katanas moved so fast that it was almost impossible to follow their movements, and the soldiers standing in her path barely had enough time to react before they were killed.

Seeing this, Lilith could not help but whistle in amazement.

She had already known that Freya was extremely powerful, but watching her fight on such a large battlefield was something completely different. The Goddess of War was not only fast and strong, but she was also extremely efficient and ruthless when it came to killing her enemies.

Every movement she made was aimed at killing someone, and she rarely wasted any time attacking the same enemy twice. The moment one soldier fell, she was already moving toward the next, allowing her number of kills to increase at a terrifying speed.

Lilith watched her for a few more seconds before a small smile appeared on her face. Even she had to admit that when it came to fighting and killing enemies on a battlefield, Freya truly deserved her title as the Goddess of War.

Scene Change_____

On another part of the battlefield, a powerful Sixth Order cultivator was standing in the middle of hundreds of dead soldiers. However, unlike the other powerful cultivators who were personally fighting against the enemy, this man was not fighting at all. Instead, he was standing with his hands behind his back, calmly watching the battle taking place around him.

The man appeared to be in his late forties. He had long grey hair, a thin face, and a pair of dark eyes. He was wearing a long black robe, and several small wooden figures were hanging from his waist. His fingers were unusually thin, and whenever he moved them, faint threads of mana could be seen appearing around his hands.

This man was a powerful puppet master who had reached the Sixth Order. Unlike ordinary cultivators who mainly relied on their own strength to fight, puppet masters specialised in creating powerful puppets and controlling them during battle. Depending on their skills, materials, and cultivation, some puppet masters could even create puppets that were as strong as cultivators of the same order.

And the man standing on the battlefield was one of those puppet masters.

At the moment, he had brought out two powerful puppets, both of which possessed strength equal to a Beginner Sixth Order cultivator. Although the puppets did not have their own cultivation in the normal sense, their bodies contained special formations and artificial mana cores that allowed them to release power equal to that of a Beginner Sixth Order cultivator.

The first puppet was a tall humanoid figure covered in dark metal armor. Its entire body had been made using rare metals, and several small runes could be seen glowing across its arms and chest. Instead of ordinary hands, it had two long blades attached to its arms, which allowed it to cut through enemy soldiers with ease.

The second puppet looked more like an ordinary human. It had pale skin, long black hair, and a pair of lifeless eyes. However, anyone who looked closely would notice that its skin was covered in very small runes. This puppet had been created using the body of a powerful cultivator, which had been strengthened with special materials and formations.

Although both puppets were only equal to Beginner Sixth Order cultivators, they were extremely dangerous. Unlike living cultivators, they did not feel pain, fear, or exhaustion. As long as their artificial mana cores continued supplying them with energy, they could keep fighting without stopping.

Furthermore, because the puppet master was personally controlling their movements, the two puppets could work together much better than ordinary cultivators who had never fought alongside each other.

”Go on. Kill them.” The puppet master calmly ordered while moving two fingers on his right hand.

The moment he gave the order, the armored puppet rushed toward a group of Anti-Emperor Faction soldiers who were attempting to approach him. Its movements were extremely fast, and before the soldiers could properly react, the blades attached to its arms had already cut through several of them.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!!!!

Blood sprayed into the air as the soldiers fell to the ground one after another. Some attempted to block the puppet’s blades with their weapons, but the difference in strength was simply too large. Their weapons were either knocked aside or broken, and the puppet continued moving forward without slowing down.

Meanwhile, the second puppet moved toward another group of soldiers. Unlike the armored puppet, which relied mainly on physical strength, this puppet could also use several combat skills that had been preserved through the formations placed inside its body.

As the puppet master moved his left hand, the second puppet suddenly disappeared from its position and appeared behind an enemy Fifth Order cultivator. Before the cultivator could turn around, the puppet drove its hand through his chest, killing him almost instantly.

”Good. Now move to the left.” The puppet master said while making another small movement with his fingers.

The puppet immediately followed his command and rushed toward another group of enemy soldiers. Its movements were extremely smooth, and it almost looked as if a living cultivator was fighting instead of a puppet.

However, despite the large number of soldiers being killed by his puppets, the puppet master did not appear particularly interested in the battle

In fact, he was barely paying attention to the soldiers who were dying around him. His eyes were constantly moving across the battlefield, searching for two specific people. Those two people were Lilith and Amelia.
