Civilization Chronicles: Rise of the Divine Creator

The 3 voices, all clearly belonging to young men, kept hurling a flurry of curses and insults, right up until the moment Christina and Eris turned and glared at them.

In an instant, the 3 young men went silent, each of them caught completely off-guard.

From where they had been standing, they could only see the faces of Toby and Mabel, while Lucas, Eris, and Christina had been facing away from them, still wearing their slightly dusty travel cloaks.

Eris was a bit too young to really be considered a woman, but as a Direct Descendant of Celestina Balfour, a woman admired across the Rockwell Kingdom for both for her strength and beauty, she was still quite the pretty picture.

However, it was Christina who really drew the attention of these 3 young masters, which was hardly surprising seeing how she was literally the daughter of the publicly recognized most beautiful woman in the kingdom.

With the prevalence of cultivation, there were plenty of stunning ladies and handsome men in the Rockwell Kingdom, but if you asked anyone who the most beautiful couple was, 9 out of 10 people would answer King Nathanial Rockwell and Third Queen Cynthia Morgan.

As the daughter of a handsome, heroic looking king, and a queen who was equal parts innocent and enchanting, Christina was an absolute vision even at the tender age of 15. She was like an untouchable flower resting atop a mountain, standing head and shoulders above others in her generation in terms of looks.

The rude young men were dumbstruck having met this unknown beauty in one of their usual hangout spots, but after recovering from their initial shock, they immediately flipped their attitudes and began trying to flirt.

”Forgive me, My Lady, but I believe you’ve stolen not just my seat, but also my heart!”

”It’s as if the Heavens sent down one of their fairies to bless us brothers today!”

”We’ve been terribly rude to such a beauty! Allow us brothers to apologize by buying you a drink.”

Cheesy, greasy, and frankly somewhat disgusting pick-up lines began pouring out from the lips of the 3 young men.

Their tone had undoubtedly shifted, become more polite, but it somehow felt even more insulting than when they were being outright rude before.

On top of that, the arrogance and overconfidence that coloured their words remained, deepening the revulsion Christina was feeling.

With Christina’s expression growing darker by the second, and with Toby and Mabel both cowering in fear, Eris was unable to stand it any longer. Leaping up from her seat and pointing her one good hand at the trio of intruders, she shouted in her usual, brash tone, ”Hey! You three losers! Get lost!”

”””Huh?”””

All three young men reacted exactly the same way, turning somewhat baffled looks towards Eris.

There was a faint trace of objectification in their eyes at first, seemingly evaluating Eris’ future prospects, judging whether she was also be a potential target, but when they noticed the stump where her right forearm should be, the young master trio immediately felt turned off, with one of them even snickering, ”You’ve got a pretty face, but unfortunately, you’re just a cripple!”

”Ah ah, what a waste,” another shook his head wryly.

”Well, she’s still passable,” the third chimed in, ”After all, when the lights go out, who’s going to notice?”

””Hahaha!””

Eris, who had never been mocked and insulted so vulgarly, turned red faced and began grinding her teeth.

She wasn’t feeling fear or embarrassment, though, only pure anger and revulsion.

Lucas and Christina had also had enough, the two of them standing up together with the former declaring solemnly, ”You three have had your fun, I suggest you back off now.”

In truth, after how degrading and insulting these 3 had been, Lucas wanted nothing more than to kick their asses, but he still retained just enough rationality to resist that urge.

Christina was also fuming inside, but she was willing to follow Lucas’ lead for the moment and coldly ordered, ”Leave, while you still can.”

Unfortunately, this show of restraint only fueled the 3 young men’s confidence with one of them cackling out loud, ”Hah! Really? A snot-nosed brat thinks he can order us brothers around?”

”Go back and suck your mommy’s tits for another decade before you try challenging your betters, boy!”

”Hey, beautiful! Ditch the babysitting and let some real men show you how to have fun!”

Saying so, a member of this obnoxious trio reached out, grabbed Christina by the shoulder, and tried to pull her over.

His attempt, of course, failed.

When the lustful young master tried to drag Christina away, he discovered, to his shock, that he couldn’t move her. It was like he was trying to pull a tree up from the ground, something which both shocked and slightly unnerved him.

This young man might have been arrogant, but he wasn’t a total idiot, so he quickly realized that he had just made a big mistake.

Christina was obviously younger and smaller than him, so the only reason he would be completely unable to move her was if there was a really, really big gap in strength between them.

”What are you doing, Lorne? Hurry it up!”

”That’s right, that’s right! You lost your strength after drinking too much or something? Come on man, it’s not even evening yet!”

Lorne, the now somewhat panicking young master, wanted to curse out his buddies for still aggravating the situation, but before he was able to shut them up, he felt something tightly grip his outstretched wrist.

Despite all her hard training with sword, spear, and bow, the skin on Christina’s hand was still as soft as silk, but Lorne didn’t have time to enjoy that sensation as all he felt was a crushing pressure coming from her grip.

Turning her head to Lucas, Christina flashed a nearly predator grin as she asked, ”Hey, this counts as self-defence, right?”

Seeing that familiar look on the violent princess’ face, the one she always wore before beating him senseless while they were sparing, Lucas almost felt bad for the 3 arrogant young masters.

Almost.

”Just don’t kill them,” Lucas replied flatly.

That was all the permission Christina needed.

As quick as lightning, the princess stepped in, driving her knee into her closest victim.

Lorne, the unlucky fellow, felt like his chest had caved in, which wasn’t far from the truth

Doubling over, the young master who had never once tasted suffering in his life began coughing up blood.

Before the other 2 morons could even react, Christina’s fists were already flying, smashing both of their faces in, breaking noses in the process.

The fight, if it could even be called that, was over in less than 5 seconds.

After having experienced real life-and-death combat, taking down 3 soft, undisciplined, untrained wastes was like child’s play to Tina.

She had struck hard and fast, showing only enough restraint to ensure the trio of young masters didn’t pass out immediately.

This wasn’t because she was being kind, though, quite the opposite, in fact. After all, if she knocked them unconscious from the start, they wouldn’t have to suffer through the pain she just dealt them.

Looking down at the groaning, whimpering men she had just dispatched, Christina spat with utter disdain, ”You call my friends trash? My sister a cripple? My brother a baby? The only crippled trash babies here are you!”

Feeling refreshed, Tina turned to Lucas and smiled sweetly, ”Okay, what should we do now, Senior Brother?”

Needless to say, Lucas let out a long, long sigh.

Make no mistake, he felt that Christina’s actions were perfectly justified and he even felt like praising her for ’holding back’, but the fact that she was now dumping the whole cleanup mess onto his shoulders with the excuse that he was technically her Senior Brother Disciple...

Let’s just say, Lucas felt like he would be cleaning up after his two Junior Sisters a lot in the future, possibly the rest of his life.

Still, Lucas knew exactly what was going to happen the moment these fools laid their hands on Christina, so he had already prepared an appropriate strategy, and that was, ”We wait.”

Tilting her head slightly, Christina appeared confused, but after giving it a little thought, she nodded in agreement.

These 3 young masters clearly had strong backgrounds, people who supported them and shielded them from the consequences of their actions.

Judging from the chattering of the crowd, which had previously tried to ignore this situation but was now fully focused on it, Christina also got an idea of just who the three she had beaten up were.

However, just as Lucas implied, the best strategy for them right now was simply to wait for the backers of this trio to arrive.

If the forces behind these wastes were willing to be reasonable, they could resolve their issues cleanly and move on like nothing happened.

If the forces behind these 3 weren’t willing to be reasonable...

Well, after not being able to get a proper workout onboard the ships for so many days, Christina’s fists were still feeling a bit itchy, and Lucas was never going to say no to earning a little free money...
