Chapter 2943: Chapter 1161: On Naming (2)

”Father, come up with a name, kiss-kiss father. It needs to be a nice name!” The little girl, completely oblivious to the situation, called out cutely in Di Minghan’s embrace.

First round: Di Minghan VS his nameless son. Clearly, the son won outright, as Di Minghan lost miserably for being unable to feign crying!

Di Minghan glared at his son, who was playing innocent in his mother’s arms, his handsome face falling into a deep scowl. This kid was much more troublesome than he was in his childhood! But if Di Minghan were so easily appeased, he wouldn’t be the old man...

”Treasure, daddy will help you choose a name. After all, stupid people can’t handle this kind of thing. Your big brother isn’t even one yet, knows nothing, and is completely a little dummy. If you let him choose a name for you, you’ll be laughed at when you grow up!” Di Minghan said with a smile, looking down at his cute daughter in his arms.

”Father, why?” the little girl asked, confused.

”Because your big brother is too young; he’s still a child himself. How would he know which names sound nice and which don’t? So choosing a name is something only an adult can do. Little kids can only listen obediently to daddy; whatever name daddy picks, you’ll use it, understand?” Di Minghan explained calmly, particularly emphasizing the last sentence that whatever name daddy picks, you have to use.

”Okay, I’ll listen to daddy. Daddy, choose a name for me!” The little girl said with a smile, completely misunderstanding Di Minghan’s words.

But the little guy in Nangong Lan’s arms heard Di Minghan’s words and suddenly felt ill; he felt that his cunning father would surely pick a terrible name for him! He didn’t want that; names are important, and he couldn’t let his father ruin it...

”Grandmother, I want to choose my own name!” The little guy shot a glare at Di Minghan and spoke to Nangong Lan.

”Hmm, treasure, you let daddy pick. You don’t know how to read; how will you choose?” Nangong Lan said to the little guy in her arms, though these two treasures are infinitely clever, they are still children; how could one read at just over a month old?

The little guy was speechless upon hearing this; how could he not know how to read? He knew every word! But to avoid surprising Nangong Lan and Di Canghai, he continued, ”Grandmother, I want to choose my own name. Let father read them to me, and I’ll pick the name I like!”

”Hmm, that’s fine too. Ahan, quickly read the names over once; let our treasure pick one he likes himself!” Nangong Lan thought her grandson was too clever upon hearing this, being able to pick his own name even without knowing how to read.

Di Minghan looked speechlessly at his own mother; had she not realized this little guy was doing it on purpose? Meanwhile, Di Canghai watched the contest between son and grandson with amusement, thinking it was novel! Because his grandson was only a little over a month old, if he managed to subdue his own son, it would be truly heaven-defying...

Even Elder Bai, who happened to wander over just now, sat down next to Di Canghai, watching the magic battle between Di Minghan and his kid with great curiosity. This was really a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle: a full moon baby battling his biological father, too peculiar indeed...

Di Minghan realized his own mother had been completely won over by his son. He had no choice but to agree: ”Alright, I’ll read the boy’s names first. If you don’t understand them, just ask daddy. Daddy will help you choose!”
