Chapter 2407: Chapter 625: Power of Faith

”The power of faith can also be called Divine Power, like Buddha, Bodhisattva, and other deities worshipped by people! The power of faith may seem useless, but in the most critical moments, or when dealing with the Demon Sect or evil individuals, it becomes a sharp weapon, leaving the opponent with nowhere to hide! Some powerful beings in order to accumulate and cultivate the power of faith, place statues imbued with their power in cities under their jurisdiction, so that the common people may worship them. This accumulates the power of faith for cultivation, making it a formidable and rare strength! Furthermore, as I mentioned, the power of faith is the collective belief of all people, a force amassed through the devotion and belief in a certain deity or person, which means you cannot absorb someone else’s power of faith! So, these powers of faith are very likely yours, and even if they aren’t, they belong to someone closely related to you, like your mother. But this possibility is very slim. I believe that even if it’s your mother’s power of faith, you might not be able to absorb it...” the little book explained with agony.

With the little book’s explanation, Mo Jiuli finally roughly understood what the power of faith was. Simply put, it’s the mind power of people. However, the power of faith is the mind power generated by others’ admiration of oneself, not one’s own mind power. It’s akin to places filled with resentment where resentful spirits manifest; it’s probably the same principle...

However, her own power of faith? Mo Jiuli found it unlikely. After all, stringing all memories together, in her past life she was a Goddess, the Eldest Lady of the Divine Mansion — although she wasn’t arrogant or rude, occasionally kind, she definitely wasn’t someone exemplary. After all, she wasn’t her mother, Mo Caiyi, who loved healing the sick. Most of what she did was leisure around and explore mountains and rivers...

In this life? Don’t joke. In this life, the number of people she killed was close to those she saved, and her reputation has never been one of admiration. She was either a wanted criminal or feared, so how could she cultivate the power of faith?

Mo Jiuli believed this power of faith absolutely couldn’t be hers...

Yet, upon reflection, Mo Jiuli speculated it might be left by her mother for her, or perhaps it was something her mother prepared for her. After all, ever since entering this Demon Tomb, she felt the presence of someone assisting them, and she was certain this intuition wasn’t wrong...

Regardless, she decided to absorb it first, as refusing power would be foolish...

Thinking of this, Mo Jiuli no longer felt conflicted and immediately focused on absorbing the power of faith...

As Mo Jiuli’s absorption speed increased, Xiaoteng gradually regained consciousness. Just now, it didn’t know what had happened; its divine sense was trapped by a white mist, and then it knew nothing...

The old man Baili kept his eyes closed in meditation, but his divine sense was always on alert. Upon noticing Xiaoteng’s movement, he immediately opened his eyes, seeing the white mist on Xiaoteng starting to dissipate. The old man’s eyes sparked with joy. It seemed Jiuli was alright, which was great; otherwise, he would have blamed himself to death...

Watching the white mist on Xiaoteng diminishing, yet the area where Mo Jiuli was, enveloped by the Light Curtain, still dense with white mist, making it impossible to see anything, the old man Baili was nonetheless confident that Mo Jiuli would surely be alright...

In the blink of an eye, three months passed. The white mist on Xiaoteng had entirely vanished, and Xiaoteng was finally free, exclaiming with excitement: ”Young Master, I’ve finally gotten out!”
