Chapter 2243: Chapter 461: Xue Feng’s Past (Part 2)

”Yes, originally I didn’t know either. They hid themselves so deeply. After all the Xue Clan direct lineage were hunted down, our fake parents became the leaders of the Xue Clan! And I naturally became the Xue Clan Young Master, while my younger sister became the Elder Lady Xue. It’s a bit ironic, but for us, who were determined to avenge our parents, it turned out to be a very good opportunity...” Xue Feng said.

”Then how did you end up being hunted? Could it be that your fake parents’ force was weakened?” Mo Jiuli asked curiously.

”No, actually the direct lineage of our Vampire Clan doesn’t like drinking blood through biting, rather, we drink it! We obtain blood through normal methods, put it in a cup, and drink it like water. Moreover, the blood we drink is typically refined a bit with spiritual power before drinking. It’s only during training or in dangerous situations that we use the most primitive method of drinking through biting! However, those from branch bloodlines, due to their impure bloodline, can’t control their urge to drink blood through biting. Sometimes, they don’t even spare their own relatives...” Xue Feng said.

Upon hearing this, Mo Jiuli immediately understood. She had noticed Xue Feng’s restraint in front of her. At the time, it puzzled her since what she knew about vampires in her past life was that they lost control when encountering blood or when the urge to drink blood hit them. Why did Xue Feng not seem like a vampire at all...

Now, after listening to Xue Feng’s explanation, Mo Jiuli instantly got it. To put it simply, Xue Feng’s pure-blooded Vampire Clan was like the Royal Family among vampires. Even when drinking blood, they do it elegantly, treating blood merely as food, instead of going crazy upon seeing blood and losing their minds like beasts, preserving the demeanor of a Royal Family...

”So, it was because your and your sister’s true identities were exposed that you were hunted?” Di Minghan asked, looking at Xue Feng.

”Yes, because my sister couldn’t stand those people’s behavior. One time, our host family father suddenly lost control and attacked a maid, starting to drink her blood. Xue Ling happened to witness it! After he calmed down and saw Xue Ling dazed, he thought she wanted to drink blood too, so he tossed the maid to her. But Xue Ling couldn’t stand it like they could and even threw up in disgust looking at the maid! Thus, suspicions arose, and they imprisoned Xue Ling. No matter how much I explained, it was futile. I had no choice but to rescue Xue Ling overnight when no one was around, only to be captured again...

They imprisoned Xue Ling to control me because I was the Xue Clan Young Master, their only son. Without a successor, they wouldn’t act! However, I tried many methods but couldn’t rescue my sister. Each day I watched her being tortured, yet was powerless! Later on, the other branch members also fought for the Xue Clan Patriarch position, and their target included me. They wanted to eliminate me to choose a new Xue Clan Young Master! The reason I ended up being hunted was due to betrayal by my only good friend, leading me to the Lingtian Continent...” Xue Feng explained.

”It seems like no one really knows who’s in charge of the Xue Clan now. So much time has passed, and it’s uncertain if those people are still alive,” Mo Jiuli remarked with a pout.
