Chapter 2182: Chapter 400: Huh? Where Did It Go?

”Huh? Where did it go?” Mo Jiuli suddenly asked in confusion.

Upon hearing this, Fox Ying, Di Minghan, and the others turned around, only to see Mo Jiuli staring at the cage with a puzzled frown. Fox Ying and the others were also taken aback when they saw the empty cage, not understanding what had happened...

”Madam Shangguan, what’s going on here?” Fox Ying frowned and asked Mo Jiuli.

”I’m not sure either. I just felt a sudden darkness in front of me, and when I looked again, the cage was empty. Didn’t you see where it went?” Mo Jiuli asked, looking at the people present.

”Earlier, there seemed to be an aura passing by the door, but when I turned to look, it had disappeared!” Di Minghan immediately frowned and said.

”How could this happen?” Fox Ying said with a frown.

”Where did you catch the little beast? Go and catch it back!” Mo Jiuli said as she looked at them.

”Well, let’s go out and have a look first. You two please wait here for a moment!” Fox Ying glanced at the others, then said to Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan.

”Alright!” Mo Jiuli said politely.

Then, Fox Ying and the five others turned and went outside. After getting outside, the five of them exchanged glances and walked directly into a side hall. Fox Ying looked at the others and asked, ”What do you think is going on here?”

”I don’t know either. Could it be that the Purple Little Beast was hidden by those two?” Bai Yi said with a frown.

”It’s unlikely. That cage is not an ordinary cage, so it shouldn’t be them!” Feng Ming said.

”That’s right, that cage was something Feng Ming and I studied out of curiosity before. Not to mention those two from the Human Clan, even we wouldn’t be able to open it! And remember the cage in which the Ancestor was imprisoned; even after they left with so much effort, they couldn’t open it. Let alone this one from the Dragon clan where the Purple Little Beast was!” Long Yan also said.

”I agree with what they are saying. I think maybe Madam Shangguan has already tamed that Purple Little Beast, which is why it’s gone—perhaps it returned to that lord’s side,” Fox Mei pondered and said.

”If that’s the case, then what should we do next?” Fox Ying asked upon hearing this.

”I think we shouldn’t give them our Elixir. The lord said clearly before leaving: after successfully taming the Purple Little Beast, then give the Elixir to the other side. But now the Purple Little Beast is gone, and this is all our speculation. If we hand over the Elixir and the Purple Little Beast doesn’t return but goes elsewhere, leaving us having given the Elixir to Madam Shangguan and her people, we’ll have no way to explain it then...” Feng Ming thought and said.

”Indeed, although we don’t know what effect that Elixir has, if nothing comes out of this, I’m afraid we won’t have good days ahead. Since the Purple Little Beast is gone, at least we should keep the Elixir. If that lord comes here, we can explain that we believed the Purple Little Beast had been tamed and returned to her side, so we didn’t retrieve it and thus didn’t give the Elixir to the others...” Fox Ying thought and said.

”I agree!” Fox Mei said.

”I have no objection either!” Bai Yi also said.

”Then let’s do this. We agree as well!” Long Yan and Feng Ming exchanged a glance and said.

”Alright, then let’s go back!”

”Madam Shangguan, we’ve tried searching but still haven’t found the little beast, so we’re not sure if it has been tamed by you,
