Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 1811: Chapter 28: The Pink Fruit

Xiaoteng looked at Mo Jiuli speechlessly, then said, ”But humans are inherently cunning and greedy, aren’t they? Otherwise, why would you contract with her and let her become your Contract Beast? Wasn’t it to have her help you fight?”

”I willingly contracted with my Master. My Master saved me and avenged me. When I failed to transform during the Thunder Tribulation and became a baby, it was the hunting Old Daddy Yun who saved me, raised me like his own daughter, and ultimately died because of me! If I hadn’t met my Master, I might have died avenging Old Daddy Yun...” Yun Xia immediately retorted.

”Even if you’re willing, that doesn’t mean all humans are like her. Most humans are still selfish, aren’t they? And also cunning!” Xiaoteng insisted. Although it couldn’t go out after waking, its Divine Sense was strong. It could cover the entire Demon Beast Forest if it wanted. For the first century, out of curiosity, it often extended its Divine Sense outwards, naturally witnessing many humans and their deeds.

”Xiaoteng, you must remember not to generalize, whether towards humans or beasts. This way, in the future, you won’t form grudges with humans or be harmed by beasts because of it! Perhaps you’ve seen many humans using despicable means for a Contract Beast, but I believe you’ve also seen some people who don’t wish to contract Demon Beasts and came for training or gathering herbs, only to be attacked by Demon Beasts. They didn’t intend to oppose the Demon Beasts, but those beasts wanted to turn them into food and found an excuse that humans are despicable and always want to contract them as tools. Plainly speaking, when they encounter stronger humans, they hide, not daring to show themselves. But when they meet weaker humans, they shamelessly use a grand excuse to massacre the Human Clan! I can’t deny there are bad people among the Human Clan, but aren’t there also beasts among the Beast Clan with no bottom line, bullying the weak and fearing the strong? Whether as a human or as a beast, one must be clear about grudges and grievances. Whoever kills you should be the one you seek revenge on. Don’t treat the entire Human Clan as your enemy because one human killed you. Just as if one from the Beast Clan kills a human, should the Human Clan then slaughter the entire Beast Clan?” Mo Jiuli looked at Xiaoteng seriously and said.

Xiaoteng fell silent upon hearing this. Mo Jiuli was right. It indeed had seen beasts provoking weaker humans, claiming to avenge the Beast Clan, and brutally killing those humans. Although it felt a bit disdainful seeing this at the time, it didn’t think much of it—it was simply survival of the fittest...

Perhaps his previous thoughts were too extreme. If Demon Beasts killing weaker humans is survival of the fittest, then isn’t human strong people hunting low-strength Demon Beasts the same?

Despite agreeing with Mo Jiuli’s words, Xiaoteng still said nothing and continued to lead the way silently...

Soon, Xiaoteng led Mo Jiuli and Yun Xia to the edge of a Secret Forest, a thousand miles away from where Xiaoteng previously lived in the Demon Beast Forest. As Mo Jiuli approached, they could sense the dense Poisonous Miasma inside...

”This is the place!” Xiaoteng said, looking at Mo Jiuli.

”Alright, let’s go in!” Mo Jiuli said.

”Wait, are you afraid of the poison?” Xiaoteng hurriedly shouted.

”Are you afraid of poison?” Mo Jiuli asked, looking at Xiaoteng with some confusion.

”Aren’t you all afraid?” Xiaoteng asked, somewhat frustrated.
