Chapter 1646: Chapter 948. Peak of Light (1)

Chapter 948

It seems that I’m still not strong enough, my strength is still insufficient!

”Lingling, let’s go, let’s rescue them first!” Mo Jiuli came back to her senses and said to Lingling.

”Okay, Mother.” Lingling said.

For safety’s sake, Mo Jiuli gave Bai Yufeng’s soul another command to notify her if anyone went to the Peak of Light. Then Lingling took Mo Jiuli to the Peak of Light...

The Peak of Light in the Light World is quite similar to the Dark Abyss in the Dark World; both are symbolic places representing the two worlds. The Dark Abyss is famous for its depth, while the Peak of Light is known for its height...

However, this height means nothing to Lingling, especially after Mo Jiuli absorbed the Netherworld Power, strengthening Lingling and the other beasts as well! Therefore, Lingling swiftly brought Mo Jiuli beneath the Peak of Light. Mo Jiuli looked at the towering mountain peak and estimated it to be even higher than the 21st century’s Mount Everest...

”Can we get up there?” Mo Jiuli asked Lingling.

”Mother, it used to be a bit difficult for me, but now it’s a piece of cake! Let’s go...” Lingling said confidently.

”Alright.” Mo Jiuli nodded.

Thus, Lingling took Mo Jiuli, and the two flew upwards continuously. Mo Jiuli felt that they had been flying for an entire daytime, finally reaching the peak at night, illustrating the incredible height of the Peak of Light...

Though it was already night, the Peak of Light wasn’t dark at all; instead, it was very bright. At the center of the peak stood a massive sun pearl that absorbed sunlight to illuminate, remaining exceedingly bright even at night...

The Peak of Light is an independent conical mountain peak, becoming sharper towards the top. The area at the peak is not very large, about a hundred miles in diameter, while the base of the peak covers thousands of miles. The peak has only one entrance, more precisely, an entrance to a prison within the Peak of Light. Who constructed this prison inside the Peak of Light is unknown even to Mo Jiuli, but it has always been famous in the Light World...

Because of the Peak of Light’s height, not just anyone can fly up here, and the prison is so securely hidden that breaking in is extremely difficult. Therefore, it’s never guarded...

As soon as Mo Jiuli and Lingling landed on the peak, they immediately saw an entrance not far from the sun pearl in the center. Mo Jiuli looked carefully and found no array formation or person, then led Lingling to the entrance...

As she had guessed, although the Peak of Light was unguarded, the prison entrance had a complex array formation. However, it was nowhere near as sophisticated as Bai Luotian’s Treasure House. Having cracked the array of the Treasure House, this array was very easy for Mo Jiuli...

In less than a quarter of an hour, Mo Jiuli cracked the array, and then she and Lingling flew straight down! About a thousand meters down, Mo Jiuli and Lingling landed on a platform...

They disembarked from the Flying Bubble and looked around. All around the platform were cages, but most of them were empty...

”Lingling, are they here?” Mo Jiuli frowned and asked.

”Mother, they’re not here.” Lingling said after checking.

”Strange, where could they be?” Mo Jiuli wondered in confusion.
