Chapter 935: Chapter 236: Shark-man Clan Elder

Chapter 236

It was precisely because of this that the member of the Demon Clan, after cultivating, immediately suffered a cultivation backlash and entered a state of possession. Just as the Shark-man Clan and others prepared to annihilate him once and for all, the demon, mustering his last ounce of energy, suddenly took the Shark-man Clan Elder in front of Mo Jiuli hostage...

Initially, this Elder believed that the Demon afflicted by the cultivation backlash posed no threat, so he let the Shark-man Clan people allow the two to leave! However, no one expected that after taking the Elder hostage, the demon fled desperately, with no hint of where he might be heading until, finally, in front of a cave, the demon knocked him unconscious...

When he awoke again, he saw that the demon was glaring at him fiercely, his face awash with a savage grin! He said to him that he would wish for life in vain and beg for death without release...

Before he could fathom what was happening, he was engulfed by an incoming mass of pitch-black fog!

And then, laughing wildly, the demon left, and from then on the Shark-man Clan Elder was trapped in endless darkness!

”At first, when I realized I was trapped in the Divine Sense Illusion Realm, I thought I could break free! But I was wrong, the Illusion Realm that held me wasn’t the original one but had been modified by that demon after the backlash. I couldn’t crack it at all!” the other party sighed.

”Is that demon dead?” Mo Jiuli curiously asked.

”No, but I know he was gravely injured! When he left, he boasted that when he returned, it would be my end!” the other party said.

”But how did you end up in my auntie’s soul sea?” Mo Jiuli asked puzzledly, which was the only part she did not understand.

”I think while I was asleep, I was taken by someone for refining and then forged into your auntie’s soul sea!” the other party said after a long hesitation.

”Taken? Refined?” Mo Jiuli inquired, confused.

”Yes, after that demon trapped me, I continuously tried to break free, depleting all my strength and falling into a deep slumber! When I awoke again, I found myself being taken away by a member of the Human Clan for research...” the other party explained.

So, for many years, the Shark-man Clan Elder incessantly tried to crack the Divine Sense Illusion Realm that held him. He had been taken away by countless individuals; some thought he was a treasure, others assumed he was materials or a weapon, and so on...

After passing through many hands, he could not recall how many had possessed him over tens of thousands of years! Every so often, when he regained consciousness, he would continue to research a way to break free, only to fall back into slumber...

What he called refining was probably because, over the vastness of time, the Divine Sense Illusion Realm trapping him had become worn on the outside and was no longer as rigid as when it began. Perhaps it had been refined using a Secret Technique by someone, who then forged him into Zheng Xue Xian’s soul sea; this was the only reason the Shark-man Clan Elder could think of...

”Who is your auntie, and how did she get such an enemy?” the other party curiously asked.

”My auntie fell into a coma blocking an attack meant for my uncle!” Mo Jiuli simply stated.

”You can’t move?” Mo Jiuli pondered for a moment and asked.

She hadn’t seen the other party’s appearance yet and didn’t know the best way to handle the situation.

”If I could move, would I have been taken by so many people?” the other party said, annoyed.

It was precisely because he could not control himself that he had been snatched back and forth for tens of thousands of years...

Mo Jiuli pursed her lips; she was just asking, after all! Looking at the pitch-darkness in front of her, she simply couldn’t discern where exactly the other party was trapped...
