Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 853: Chapter 154. Are You Disgusted by Me?

Chapter 154

”Xiaolan, do you want to follow Mom? Are you willing to form a contract with Mom?” Little Lingling asked Xiaolan softly, seeing that Mo Jiuli seemed lost in thought.

”Contract, I...”

”Little Lingling... Xiaolan, don’t listen to Little Lingling’s nonsense. We don’t need a contract! I have many things to take care of, and you are still young. Staying here, the Divine Beasts outside can protect you. It is not safe to be with me. Besides, I think the Divine Beasts outside are all waiting for you!” Mo Jiuli snapped back to reality, gave Little Lingling a glare, and tenderly said to Little Qilin.

”Mom, do you not wish to form a contract with me because you find me lacking?” Little Qilin asked with a hint of grievance.

Before Little Lingling had spoken, it had already planned to form a contract with Mo Jiuli! Its Inherited Memories had never faded, so it knew what a contract represented. It also knew that their Kirin Clan has always been non-contentious, especially forbidden to form contracts with Humans—that was against the clan rules...

But, it truly liked Mo Jiuli, and before its Parents sent it away, they had told it not to think of revenge. They said as long as it lived happily and well, only by living well would there be a chance to return and save them one day. Its Parents said they would stay alive and wait for its return...

To sever its thoughts of revenge and allow it to grow properly, its Parents even sealed the memories of what happened to the Kirin Clan before it left...

Yet, what its Parents didn’t know was that the sealed memories had somehow become ineffective even before it hatched! Thus, why the Kirin Clan was annihilated, and the likelihood that its Parents were imprisoned or sealed—it knew all of it. It also knew where the forest it resided in was located, and understood it couldn’t return to the Kirin Clan with its current abilities...

It had felt anxious, had strived, and even contemplated death...

In the end, it endured and calmed down. The last time it awoke was when its Mom fell, the heart-wrenching pain nearly causing it to break out of its shell...

It had barely managed to restrain itself, and it took solace in knowing its Dad was still alive. The sole hope that kept it going was to one day return to the Kirin Clan, find its Dad, rescue the Kirins, and avenge the Kirin Clan...

Although, Little Qilin knew it was a long and difficult process, as long as it lived, it would never give up! It didn’t let Mo Jiuli form a contract with it before it hatched, partly because it really liked the aura emitted by Mo Jiuli. It didn’t want to drag Mo Jiuli into the affairs of the Kirin Clan...

It just thought that Mo Jiuli would be very eager to form a contract with it, seeing that it might be the only Kirin left in the world! If it were anyone else, they might have tried to form a contract with it by now. Thus, it worried whether Mo Jiuli was rejecting it...

”Xiaolan, it’s not that I find you lacking. You’ve seen that my power is not strong. If you follow me, I would be in great danger. I don’t have the ability to protect you...” Mo Jiuli, ignoring Little Lingling’s anxious gaze, earnestly said to Xiaolan.

”Mom, I...” Little Qilin, after hearing this, looked at Mo Jiuli with complex eyes for a long while. Finally, it seemed to make up its mind. Taking advantage of Mo Jiuli squatting in front of it, unguarded, it bit her hand and drew Mo Jiuli’s fresh blood into its mouth.

”Hiss—”

Mo Jiuli cried out in surprise; she had not expected the little guy, even after she had spoken so much, to still take the initiative to form a contract with her...
