Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 168: 168. Death Curse

Mo Jiuli didn’t know why Granny Ai was staying here? How long has she been here? And why can’t she leave? She was indeed curious, but since Granny Ai didn’t say anything, she couldn’t ask too much...

Granny Suxi once said that Granny Ai, who was in front of her, was kidnapped on the night she was born! So, who kidnapped her...

As if knowing her doubts, Granny Ai looked at Mo Jiuli and continued, ”The year I was born, I was forcibly taken away by a stranger! I was directly taken to the Death Forest in Nanfeng Country, in an underground palace, and that was where I was raised...

I didn’t know my origins, I just learned and cultivated according to what they taught me, and then killed people for them...

Until many years later, I often had a strange dream, dreaming that someone was constantly searching for me, but I couldn’t see their faces.

At first, I didn’t pay much attention, but as the dream became more and more frequent, it bothered me more and more. I seemed to be dreaming of a story, a girl who was kidnapped at birth, and her family was constantly looking for her! Her loved ones died in the process of searching for her...

Despite this, I didn’t suspect anything! It wasn’t until one time I clearly dreamed of the killer who killed those parents, wearing the same clothes as the people in my force, even their moves were exactly the same...

That was the first time I woke up from that dream...

Since then, I’ve never had that dream again...

I only learned from the dream that the girl had a twin sister, but a seed of doubt was planted in my heart...

While I did what they asked me to do, I secretly investigated my origins! It wasn’t until my Master was fatally injured and dying that I forcefully searched her soul and found out my true identity...

But in the end, I was still calculated by my Master! I thought I knew everything I wanted to know and could kill her without fail, but who could have imagined that she would send my information back at the last moment of her death, when her soul was dispersing...

Since then, I’ve been trapped here forever, never able to leave...”

Mo Jiuli stood quietly at the side, listening to Granny Ai’s past, until Granny Ai finished speaking before she fully understood what had happened...

The reason those people didn’t kill Granny Ai was for Granny Suxi. At that time, those people calculated that one of Granny Ai and Granny Suxi had the talent to cultivate the Life Illusion Realm.

But they didn’t know which one it was. So when they kidnapped Granny Ai, they happened to find that Granny Ai was awake and looking around just after she was born, while Granny Suxi was asleep...

It wasn’t until many years later that they realized that Granny Ai was not the person they were looking for. But when they went to search for Granny Suxi, she had already disappeared from the world...

Therefore, those people used a curse to seal Granny Ai here, in case Granny Suxi was still alive and found Granny Ai, they would be able to find out immediately...

”Who exactly are these people you’re talking about, Granny Ai? Which force do they belong to?” Mo Jiuli asked with confusion.

”They are called Heisha Palace! There are probably more than 1,000 of them, all of them powerful cultivators. Over the years, the people they’ve asked me to kill are all the nobles in various countries on this continent! Each target’s identity is different, and all I have to do is kill them and leave immediately. Someone else will handle the rest. I don’t know why they want to kill those people...” Granny Ai said leisurely.

She didn’t know much about the force that raised her. If it wasn’t for her innocence, she might have become a killing machine...

Mo Jiuli was curious upon hearing this; she had never heard of the Heisha Palace. It seemed that her understanding of the Lingtian Continent was still very limited...

”Granny Ai, how can I help you?” Mo Jiuli asked. Although she only met Granny Suxi once, she had a very good impression of her. Moreover, the things Granny Suxi gave her were extremely precious...

Since she had promised Granny Suxi’s request and found Granny Ai, she had to save her no matter what. She couldn’t watch Granny Ai continue to be imprisoned at the bottom of this lake...

”Thank you, child, tell me about your sister and family first...” Granny Ai said, looking at Mo Jiuli with longing.

There were many things she had seen in her dreams, but only vague figures, and she didn’t know what they looked like...

”Well... to be honest, I only met Granny Suxi once not too long ago...” Mo Jiuli told the story of her encounter with Granny Suxi in detail.

She was very apologetic since she knew very little about them!

”It’s alright, it’s not your fault! After all, we’ve been around for too long! Child, thank you, thank you for letting me know all this. They never gave up on me, and my family has cherished me so much! That’s enough...” Granny Ai said, satisfied.

”Child, the Death Curse they placed on me is unbreakable by you! Once the curse on my body is broken, I won’t be able to live, and you’ll bring disaster upon yourself! This is something I don’t want to see!” Granny Ai said with a smile.

”Can’t we leave here?” Mo Jiuli asked after thinking for a while. Even if the curse couldn’t be broken, it couldn’t continue to keep Granny Ai here.

”If I leave this place, I’m afraid the entire country where the Wudu Forest is located will disappear!” Granny Ai said with a meaningful glance at the crystal coffin next to her.

”What do you mean, Granny Ai?” Mo Jiuli asked in shock.

”The Death Curse is not the work of everyone on this continent! Once the seal of death is broken, the blue lake you just passed will flood, and the entire Wudu Forest will become a real Poison Forest, with poisonous mist, poisonous insects, poisonous flowers, and blue poisonous liquid attacking the country in an instant! The most terrifying thing is the warm blue lake water you just experienced, which is actually a highly corrosive poisonous liquid! Without me and this crystal coffin sealing it here, I’m afraid the area for millions of miles will become a dead land!” said Granny Ai helplessly.

Although she was not sure where she was being sealed, she knew that it was a territory of a country after so many years. Occasionally, people would enter the Wudu Forest for adventures, but since there was external mist, they couldn’t reach here, leaving her in the dark about the outside world...

”Is there really no other way?” Mo Jiuli frowned and asked. Everything Granny Ai told her made her feel completely unfamiliar, and this feeling of not knowing and not being able to control anything was very unsettling.
