After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret

Time’s up? What time was that?

Everyone sensed that something was wrong.

First came a rustling sound, followed by a rumbling from behind.

Someone turned their head and was shocked to see the houses behind them collapsing?!

”T-Turning to sand?”

A man stared in shock at the wall of the house behind him.

The stones in the wall seemed to weather away, crumbling into fragile sand and dirt.

”What are you doing?!”

Oceane Sutton instinctively looked at Nina Jacobs.

’She’s really going to destroy this place?!’

”Stop!”

Seeing another two buildings collapsing, Oceane Sutton was horrified.

That was her private warehouse!

And her residence!

Nina Jacobs only needed to destroy the foundations for the rest of the buildings to collapse. She did it without breaking a sweat.

In an instant, several more houses fell.

When Oceane Sutton came to her senses, she immediately condensed her Wood Element Superpower to attack Nina Jacobs, only to be tightly bound by another vine.

”Your opponent should be me.”

Trevor glared at Oceane Sutton with fury in his eyes. Their Wood Element Vines tangled, restraining each other, and then a barrage of Ice Spikes shot toward Oceane!

”The Bishop Clan really does have a Mystic Ice Core!”

Edric Holden muttered as he retreated.

A fanatical gleam slowly appeared in his eyes.

Just then, a bloodcurdling scream rang out.

Oceane Sutton and her group only saw what seemed to be a blur flash past them.

A severed arm lay on the ground. Aiden Gordon was rolling on the floor in agony, and even Edric Holden watched in shock.

”What happened? Where’s the child?”

Edric Holden asked.

”It’s a Speed Element Superpower User!”

someone shouted.

Oceane Sutton finally saw clearly what had happened.

Eve, who had been in Aiden Gordon’s hands just a moment ago, was now safely back with Trevor.

”Thank you!”

Trevor and the others looked at Holden Shaw gratefully.

Holden Shaw gave a slight nod. After learning that Eve had been taken hostage, Nina Jacobs had told him to find the right moment to snatch her back.

”What are you standing around for? All five of you, get them!”

Oceane Sutton commanded the others around her while fighting off Trevor.

’At this point, she just wanted them all dead.’

These men were the five masters she had trained, five Superpower Users each with a different element.

”Yes!”

The five of them charged forward together.

”The five masters? I’ve been wanting to test my skills against them for a while.”

Leo Hale was already eager. He directly confronted a Gold Element Superpower User.

Jessica Vance and Chase Gallagher also each took on an opponent.

”You’re mine, big guy.”

One of the Wind Element Superpower Users had noticed Wayne Warner early on. He felt completely at ease, especially after discovering Wayne was a Strength Element Superpower User.

”Tiberius Paxton, kill him!”

Oceane Sutton ordered.

”Consider it done. Easy.”

Tiberius Paxton sneered and accepted.

”Is he an idiot?”

Shirley Lucas couldn’t help but say.

”Wind Element versus Strength Element... it’s true Wind has the advantage, but...”

Adrian Shaw was also curious to see how strong Wayne Warner had become after his advancement.

A series of Wind Blades flew toward Wayne Warner, as the Wind Element user, Tiberius Paxton, had already created distance between them.

He thought Wayne Warner wouldn’t be able to dodge the Wind Blades, but unexpectedly, Wayne’s speed was astonishingly fast!

Seeing that his multiple Wind Blades had all missed, Tiberius Paxton continued to hurl Wind Balls. But he soon discovered that his Wind Balls had no effect on Wayne Warner whatsoever.

”How about this, then?”

An extremely powerful Wind Ball shot toward Wayne Warner. This time, he didn’t dodge. He simply held out his palm, and the moment the Wind Ball made contact, it was somehow deflected back by some force!

Tiberius Paxton scrambled to dodge, and the Wind Ball slammed into the ground, creating a huge crater!

Meanwhile, Wayne Warner was already rushing toward him!

”How is he so fast?!”

Tiberius Paxton realized he was being closed in on by a Strength Element Superpower User.

Seeing that he was about to be caught, Tiberius Paxton infused a Wind Fist with Wind Blades and turned to strike at Wayne Warner!

BANG!

Everyone looked shocked as they watched Tiberius Paxton get thrown several meters away.

What happened? Tiberius Paxton was the one who attacked!

Not only that, but the person who went to help Tiberius Paxton discovered that every bone in his body had shattered, and he was dead on the spot?!

”He died just like that? He was so weak, wasn’t he?”

Shirley Lucas said deliberately in a loud voice. He had thought the so-called five masters would be much stronger.

In just two or three minutes, not only had Wayne Warner’s fight concluded, but the other four masters were now also dead or grievously wounded.

”All of you, listen up! Kill these people! There’s a bounty on each of their heads!”

Edric Holden, seeing the situation turn sour, shouted immediately.

”Right, right! Kill them all, except for the child!”

Aiden Gordon said, grinding his teeth.

While the others charged forward, Edric Holden cautiously backed away.

At that moment, sharp Stone Spikes suddenly erupted from the ground.

The two men with knives at the front were instantly impaled by the Stone Spikes and hoisted high into the air.

”Leave no one who attacks us alive!”

As soon as Nina Jacobs’s words fell, several more people who were attempting a sneak attack from the sides collapsed, unable to get up.

Adrian Shaw gave the order.

Gareth Rowan and Cedric Coleman, lying in ambush, reloaded and pulled their triggers.

Seeing those men killed with single shots, the people behind them no longer dared to advance.

They didn’t know how many snipers there were, nor where they were hiding.

”Everyone, stop throwing your lives away!”

Seeing this, Elara Thorne stepped out to stop them.

”Oceane Sutton’s defeat is certain! Are you still going to throw your lives away for her?!

You just saw it yourselves. The difference in your strength is enormous.”

Elara Thorne knew that most of the people here had no formal training. They just happened to have Superpowers and were hoping to secure a position for themselves.

After all, Oceane Sutton had promised them a bright future building this base.

Sure enough, the crowd, which had already shown signs of fear, began to hesitate after hearing her words.

Many of the houses behind them were already turning into ruins.

Even Oceane Sutton, with her Dual Element Superpower, looked like she was about to lose to that man!

”Ms. Thorne, what should we do now?”

A man dropped the weapon in his hand.

The power of that Earth Element Superpower User was terrifying. When they remembered the wall that had risen from the flat ground overnight, they knew they were no match for them.

After all, they had never even heard of such a Superpower.

”Those who wish to give up the fight, fall back now!”

Elara Thorne said in a loud voice.

”Elara Thorne, you’ve got some nerve! Have you forgotten your man is still in our hands?”

Oceane Sutton shouted as she wretchedly defended against Trevor’s attacks.

Their Healer was currently treating Aiden Gordon.

That Healer, Timothy Spencer, was Elara Thorne’s husband. It was said they had just gotten married before the apocalypse and were still in their honeymoon phase.

”Yes, Liana, don’t be like this. You’re acting like a stranger.”

Timothy Spencer had no choice but to stand up and speak.

”A stranger? I wish I’d never met a piece of trash like you!”

Just a moment ago, Maya Warner had told her that Timothy Spencer had cheated.

It turned out that two days ago, when she was away on a mission and hadn’t returned, Timothy Spencer had gotten together with his female assistant behind her back. Supposedly, it was even at Oceane Sutton’s suggestion.

Maya Warner had been worried about upsetting Elara Thorne, especially since the two had just gotten married before the apocalypse.

But she was about to return to her clan and was afraid that Elara Thorne would be deceived again in the future, so after two days of deliberation, she decided to tell her.

After learning the truth, Elara Thorne wasn’t sad. Instead, she felt a sense of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted.

”Timothy Spencer, from now on, whether you live or die has nothing to do with me.”

Having said her piece, Elara Thorne turned and walked away.

Seeing this, the others hurriedly followed her.
