Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 374: I Think You Already Have a Death WishChapter 375: Let Us Make Dragons Great Again

”Hasnʼt the era of dragons already passed?”

”Didnʼt dragons already go extinct on this continent? How can there be so many dragons? Thatʼs not what the books said at all!!”

After hearing Kurnugiʼs words, Zash widened his eyes, his eyes filled with emptiness. He could not believe what Kurnugi had said.

”Oh? You donʼt believe it?! The books you read were all written by humans, right? How could humans possibly know the history of dragons?!”

Kurnugi looked at Zash with a somewhat strange gaze.

”These days, no one believes the truth anymore…”

”Today, this great me is in a good mood, so Iʼll show mercy and let you witness my true form!”

As Kurnugi spoke, his body slowly began to shine with white light and underwent a violent transformation.

In just a short moment, Kurnugiʼs originally delicate skin began to become rough.

Looking carefully, it seemed that Kurnugiʼs entire body was covered in countless transparent scales. That was not all. Immediately after, Kurnugiʼs body began to continuously expand. Dragon horns grew from his head, his face became especially ferocious, his limbs thickened like some kind of reptile, and a long tail casually dragged across the ground, occasionally swaying a few times like a delighted pet dog. However, those bat-like wings that covered the sky were absolutely not something giant canines could possess…

As for Zash, who watched Kurnugi transform into a giant beast, he was already completely stunned. Looking at Kurnugiʼs appearance, the heart in his chest pounded continuously with ʼthump, thumpʼ sounds, because in Zashʼs memories, creatures like Kurnugi had a unique name, and that name was…

”Dragon! A giant dragon!”

Zash swallowed a mouthful of saliva and spoke in shock as he looked at Kurnugi before him.

Although the Kurnugi before him was somewhat smaller than the giant dragons recorded in books that were dozens of meters long, it did not hinder Kurnugiʼs identity at all. He was absolutely one of the giant dragons, the supreme beasts that once ruled this world and stood invincible in the world!

”I truly never expected it! Never expected that there would actually still be so many giant dragons in this world…”

”Hahaha, I am going to become invincible! As long as I have so many giant dragons, I can definitely rule this world!”

”O dragons! Become my power! Conquer this world for me!”

Zash burst into loud laughter. He reached out and gently stroked his forehead, his expression filled with madness.

”You little brat are quite interesting!”

”After seeing my great form, you still intend to command me?!”

”Kid, do you not know how the word death is written?”

”A low-level human like you doesnʼt even need the others here to make a move. I alone can tear your corpse into ten thousand pieces!”

Kurnugi revealed a ferocious smile as he looked at Zash before him. He exhaled a breath of turbid air, and countless violent winds immediately blew toward Zash, making him unable to stand steadily. Only then did Kurnugi slightly raise the corners of his mouth and proudly speak to Zash.

”Is that so?”

”Not necessarily, right?”

Zash staggered up from the ground. He dusted off the dirt on his body, then took out a cigar from his pocket and silently lit it. ʼPuff, puff,ʼ he calmly puffed clouds of smoke in front of everyone.

”Dragons, let me show you the power of humans…”

As Zash spoke, his eyes suddenly shone with red light.

”Hmm…”

Originally lying before Zash like a cat teasing a mouse it had caught, Kurnugi, who was toying with Zash, suddenly froze in expression. His mind was instantly bewitched by the light within Zashʼs eyes.

”This is my magic, Spirit Domination Magic…”

”You dragons should obediently become my pets!”

Zash laughed loudly as he looked at Kurnugi, whose eyes were flickering with red light. This was magic he had learned from an ancient secret manual. It was said to interfere with the minds of dragons, and when cultivated to the extreme, it could even control great dragons.

”Oh? The predecessor of Dragon Control Magic? Or some kind of magic similar to Dragon Control Magic…”

The moment Zash activated his magic, Evan instantly understood it. This was naturally not some Spirit Domination Magic. Even true Spirit Domination Magic could not dominate dragons. This was some kind of hypnotic suggestion magic, essentially giving dragons psychological suggestions that made them mistakenly believe that everything Zash said was correct. The principle was the same as Future Rogueʼs Dragon Control Magic, both using tricks to manipulate dragons. However, once the dragons noticed it, this magic would become useless…

Speaking of which, its principle was also similar to the Charm Magic the fake Salamander used on Lucy. Both belonged to the category of psychological suggestion magic. It was neither especially strong nor especially weak, but in general, it was a rather troublesome kind of magic…

Unfortunately, it was ineffective against Evan, Irene, and the others…

”Alright, your name is Kurnugi, right? Kurnugi, quickly help me eliminate that guy!”

In just the short few seconds Evan spent analyzing Zashʼs magic, Zash had already learned Kurnugiʼs name. At this moment, he intended for Kurnugi to eliminate Evan.

”Roar!!”

Kurnugi roared and walked toward Evan.

”Hmm?”

Facing Kurnugiʼs provocation, Evan merely frowned slightly and glared at Kurnugi.

”...”

In just an instant, Kurnugi, who had been psychologically suggested by Zash, directly froze stiff in place. His instincts and the suggestion in his mind conflicted with each other.

”Kurnugi, what are you doing?! Kurnugi!”

Zash continuously urged the Kurnugi he had suggested.

”Uh…”

However, no matter how Zash persuaded him, Kurnugi simply lay there motionlessly, not daring to make any disrespectful movement toward Evan. Yes, Kurnugiʼs fear of Evan had already seeped deep into his bones to the point of being incurable. It was absolutely not something a mere psychological suggestion could alter…

”Foolish…”

Animus coldly sneered as he looked at the crazed Zash. This idiot actually intended to control a young dragon to beat up a Dragon King. Was his brain broken?!

”Bastard, utterly useless…”

”Damn it, if thatʼs the case, then all of you shall accept my domination!”

Zash cursed angrily, then used his suggestion magic on everyone present.

”Hmph~”

Unfortunately, before Zashʼs suggestion magic could even approach Evan and the others, it was blocked by an invisible spiritual force.

”Enchant, Purification!”

Evan could not be bothered dealing with Zash and directly enchanted everyone present with the Purification attribute.

”Buzz!”

In just a short instant, Kurnugi, whose eyes had originally turned red and who was gradually becoming berserk, instantly calmed down.

”What exactly is happening?”

Zash was stunned by everything before him. He could not understand what exactly was happening.

”Boom!!”

Before Zash could think further, accompanied by a sound of breaking air, a gigantic claw descended from the sky and directly smashed Zash into the ruins.

”You bastard, you actually dared place suggestions on this great me?! Insolence! I think you already have a death wish!”

Kurnugi coldly snorted as he looked at Zash, whom he had smashed into the ruins. Scarlet light flickered within his eyes, representing the boundless rage in his heart.

”Donʼt kill him. Heʼs a traitor of the Kingdom of Fiore. Later we still have to send him back to Old Thomas. Leave him with one breath so Old Thomas can personally deal with him…”

Evan frowned slightly as he looked at Zash, whose entire body had suffered shattered fractures and who was constantly coughing blood. After all, Zash was a general of the Kingdom of Fiore. Letting him simply die would be far too wasteful. They had to announce it to the world and hold some kind of execution, right?! It could also serve as a warning to others!

This could also tell the entire Kingdom of Fiore exactly what happens when they offend Fairy Tail…

Ahem, no, rather, what kind of miserable ending awaits those who betray their own country!

”Donʼt worry! Master! I am a dragon who knows moderation…”

Kurnugi grinned at Evan as he looked at the mosaic beneath him that he had nearly smashed into pieces.

”Mm…”

Evan lightly nodded without saying anything. He turned his gaze toward Animus.

”Y-Why are you looking at me…”

The moment Animus sensed Evanʼs gaze, his body trembled. He knew very well that Evan was a brutal demonic dragon wearing human skin. He absolutely did not dare offend Evan.

”Snap~”

Evan said nothing and merely snapped his fingers lightly.

Instantly, the handsome king wearing luxurious formal clothes and a crown disappeared without a trace, replaced by a cute girl with flaxen long hair and a voluptuous figure.

”You…”

As the king transformed into a girl, his rough voice also became delicate.

”Oh? A man turned into a woman! How amazing…”

Natsu widened his eyes as he looked at Animus, who had transformed into a girl.

”Idiot, the previous man was just a type of Mirror Magic. This woman is the true body!”

Laxus helplessly sighed after hearing Natsuʼs words.

Natsu clearly had quite high intelligence during battle, so why did he become such a complete idiot once outside of battle?!

”What exactly do you mean by this?!”

After Animus transformed into a girl, his face turned red.

He felt a sense of shame from having his little secret exposed…

If the ones who knew this secret were merely a group of low-level humans, he would not care at all. It would not matter no matter how many humans knew, because Animus never regarded humans as anything significant…

However, if the ones discovering his little secret were dragons of the same kind as himself, then this intense sense of shame directly invaded his entire body. The current situation was simply too embarrassing for a dragon…

”Oh my, so thatʼs how it is. You attached yourself to this human little girlʼs body, and because your own magic power is insufficient, you cannot come out, correct? In other words, right now you and this human little girl are in a symbiotic relationship, and when you occupy this body, the soul of the bodyʼs original owner falls into slumber, right?”

Irene instantly saw through Animusʼs predicament. She walked before Animus, the corners of her mouth slightly rising.

”That is indeed the case. May I ask for your name?!”

Animusʼs eyes trembled. He never expected Irene to directly see through his identity in just one meeting. Thus, while lightly bowing to Irene in greeting, he respectfully asked for Ireneʼs name.

”Irene Belserion!”

Irene raised the corners of her mouth and directly stated her full name.

”Belserion…”

Animusʼs eyes trembled. His gaze flickered back and forth between Evan and Erza behind Irene, as though he had finally understood something.

”As expected of the great Sage Dragon. You actually saw through the hidden problem with my body in an instant.”

Animus lightly nodded. Among dragons, Belserion carried the meaning of wisdom, so there was no issue with him addressing Irene as the Sage Dragon.

”Actually, solving the problem with your body is very simple for me~”

”With my Separation and Enchantment Magic, I can let you and the owner of your body both live healthily without interfering with one another~”

After pointing out the problem Animus faced, Irene directly gave a solution.

”What!?”

”You can actually separate me from Sonya?! As long as you can restore my own body, no matter what you want me to do, there will be no problem…”

Animusʼs pupils trembled as he became wildly overjoyed. He had longed to leave this body for a full four hundred years. Now that the opportunity was right before him, how could he possibly give it up~

”I refuse~”

However, just as Animus became wildly overjoyed, Irene directly rejected him.

”What…”

Animus froze. He blankly looked at Irene, completely unable to believe she had rejected him.

According to the normal flow of events, Irene should first point out his problem, then propose a solution. The next step should be him swearing loyalty to Irene, then Irene helping him solve the issue, and finally everyone being happy, right?!

But what exactly was happening now?! Why was Irene not following the usual script?

”Your name is Animus, right? I think you may have misunderstood something~”

”I merely told you that I can help you, but I never once said that I would help you. I think youʼre quite fine as you are now~”

”Your current appearance is much cuter than your original one~”

”As for your loyalty, hehe, I donʼt need a dragon as weak as you to pledge loyalty to me. When trouble appears, I would even have to waste effort protecting you. Thatʼs far too troublesome~”

Irene slightly raised the corners of her mouth as she looked at Animus. Her fair white fingers lightly pressed against her sexy red lips, and her deep violet eyes gazing at Animus were filled entirely with amusement.

As someone who enjoyed watching fun unfold, Irene merely wanted to see what kind of expression this foolish dragon before her would reveal after she personally gave him hope, then personally bestowed the greatest despair upon him by shattering that hope…

”Weak…”

”Not needed…”

”I am too feeble…”

Ireneʼs words were like sharp swords directly stabbing into Animusʼs heart. His expression filled with pain as he continuously stepped backward, despair filling his face…

Ireneʼs words directly destroyed all of Animusʼs self-esteem built over four hundred years.

One must know that although Animus had lived under Acnologiaʼs shadow for the past four hundred years, it was merely under Acnologiaʼs shadow. After all, he was still the only dragon in four hundred years who had survived after clashing with the Black Dragon King. He still possessed some pride and backbone!

Especially during these four hundred years, Animus had never encountered humans as powerful as Acnologia again. As humanity prospered and countless magics bloomed everywhere, humans no longer had to face dragons devouring them anytime and anywhere, and instead became increasingly weaker. This made Animus more and more arrogant, believing humans to be lowly creatures and only dragons to be noble. He believed that as long as he regained his true body, he could definitely rule the world…

But now, as Ireneʼs words fell, all his pride had been utterly crushed…

”Ah, your expression is truly wonderful~”

Irene nodded in satisfaction as she looked at the despair in Animusʼs eyes.

”Of course, if you join our Fairy Tail Guild, then helping you is not impossible…”

Just as Irene gave Animus despair, Evan extended a helping hand toward the despairing Animus.

”Help me?!”

Animus froze for a moment before looking toward Evan.

Feeling the majestic power within Evan that rivaled a Dragon King, Animusʼs eyes flashed with excitement…

Thatʼs right, there was not only Irene, a Dragon King-level existence, present here. If Irene would not help him, he could still seek help from another Dragon King-level existence!

”As long as I join your Fairy Tail or whatever it is, you will help me, correct?”

Animus looked at Evan with a pleading expression.

”Of course. After all, once you join Fairy Tail, you and I will be companions. However, my Separation Magic is not as powerful as Ireneʼs and cannot achieve her level of perfect separation, so you will need to give me some time. At the very least, give me a few years~”

Evan smiled slightly as he softly spoke to Animus.

”No problem. What I lack least is time…”

Animus continuously nodded. He had already waited over four hundred years. It was merely a few more years. Even if he had to wait several more decades or even centuries, what did it matter?!

After all, in front of a dragonʼs lifespan, several decades were merely the blink of an eye…

”Very good~”

Evan slightly raised the corners of his mouth as he looked at the completely fooled Animus.

In a few more years, he would probably already be able to directly brawl with Acnologia head-on. During this period, he would properly use Animusʼs traits to mass-produce Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals…

In the future, every member of Fairy Tail Guild across the continent of Ishgar, including the warriors of the Magic Council ERA, would each possess a Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal, turning the entire organization into little dragon people!

Although these mass-produced Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals could not compare to those made from actual dragon hearts, they were still sufficient to drastically increase the combat strength of weaker Mages…

At that time, throughout the entire world of Earth-land, whether in terms of the quality of top-tier combat power or the quality of ordinary Mages, Fairy Tail would no longer have any enemies ahead of them…

Speaking of which, at that point, should Fairy Tail Guild rename itself to Cassell Academy?!

”Hahaha…”

Thinking of this, Evan wrapped his arm around Animusʼs shoulder and laughed extremely cheerfully.

”Then from now on, let us get along well together~ Senior Animus…”

Evan raised the corners of his mouth and smiled at the Animus he had wrapped in his embrace.

”Mm…”

Being held by a monster at the level of a Dragon King, Animus did not dare move at all. He could only continuously nod his head like a pecking chicken. Where was the previous arrogance of King Animus now?!

”Stare...”

Just as Animus felt the majestic power within Evan and secretly trembled in shock, not daring to move at all, scarlet and dangerous light shone from Erzaʼs eyes.

After all, Animus was currently using Sonyaʼs body. No matter how one looked at it, Sonya, with her curvaceous figure and perfect youthful body maintained at eighteen years old, was definitely a beauty…

This made Erza feel an enormous threat.

”Uh…”

However, the current Animus had absolutely no awareness that he had unknowingly offended the strongest daughter in the guild. After sensing Erzaʼs killing intent-filled gaze, he merely froze slightly.

”Did I offend her somewhere?”

Animusʼs eyes were filled entirely with confusion.

”So what should we do next?!”

”Since this guy chose to join Fairy Tail Guild, doesnʼt that make him our companion?”

”If thatʼs the case, then we wonʼt be able to fight freely anymore, right?”

Laxus raised his eyebrows as he looked at Animus, who had directly submitted.

Since Animus had already submitted, it was obvious that the fight was no longer going to happen.

Originally, the reason Laxus had been tricked over here by Erza and the others was to test just how powerful the Dragon Slayer Magic he had learned had become, and how large the gap between himself and wild dragons really was!

But since Animus was about to become a member of Fairy Tail, there was no need for testing anymore. After all, Dragon Slayer Magic, a magic with such destructive power, was not magic meant to attack companions from the same guild…

Moreover, once they became companions in the same guild, they would naturally hesitate somewhat when making a move.

If one felt hesitation and confusion in battle, then it would be impossible to properly test the power of oneʼs magic!

”Of course our task next is tourism. The Kingdom of Stella is a famous tourist destination. If we donʼt properly enjoy ourselves, wouldnʼt that be a waste?”

”Laxus, Natsu, Gajeel, you all have to remember that our primary purpose for coming to the Kingdom of Stella was not anything else, but tourism!!”

”The reason we came all the way from the Kingdom of Fiore to this distant Kingdom of Stella was first for tourism, and only afterward to deal with other things…”

After hearing Laxusʼs words, Evan raised his eyebrows and spoke to everyone with an extremely serious expression.

”So you people actually came here for tourism, and then just happened to discover me, so I got conveniently dealt with along the way?”

Hearing this, the corners of Animusʼs eyes twitched slightly. He had thought that Evan and the others came to the Kingdom of Stella specifically to deal with him. After all this time, it turned out he had overestimated himself and was simply being self-indulgent. The group before him simply did not care about his insignificant power.

That made sense. Among the people before him, no, among these monsters! There were already three Dragon King-level existences alone. Besides those three Dragon King-level existences, there was also a dragon seemingly sleeping inside some human bratʼs body, and that dragon was also at Dragon King-level…

That was four Dragon King-level dragons! Even four hundred years ago at the peak of dragonkind, there had never been four existences of this level! If their dragon side had possessed this kind of strength during the Dragon King Festival back then, perhaps they would not have lost to Acnologia…

”Sigh…”

Thinking of this, Animus could not help but sigh, feeling incomparably bitter inside.

No matter how he thought about it, the era of dragons had already passed.

”Animus, we plan to properly enjoy ourselves in your country…”

”I heard your country produces crystals, and those crystals are very beautiful. They shouldnʼt be too expensive, right?”

Just as Animus was lost in thought, Evan walked before him and smilingly asked.

”Uh…”

As Evanʼs words fell, Animus frowned slightly. He always felt like there was another meaning hidden in Evanʼs words~

”Well, whatever catches your eyes, please just take it. Put all the bills on my account, Animus! This is my country, and everything here is under my control…”

Animus thought for a moment. After all, he had lived together with humans for over four hundred years. During those four hundred years, he had seen countless humans, so he could roughly understand Evanʼs current mood…

No, there was no need to guess anything. Evan had directly displayed everything he wanted on his face, and Animus could clearly see two large words written there, namely ʼGreedʼ!

He was just not completely certain yet. After all, Evan was a dragon and unlike those low-level humans. Noble dragons like them never cared about the lowly treasures humans valued.

”Youʼre saying all expenses will be charged to your account? As expected of the king of the Kingdom of Stella, truly wealthy and generous! Everyone, later on, please enjoy yourselves as much as possible in the Kingdom of Stella! All expenses today will be paid by Animus~”

After hearing Animusʼs words, Evan slightly raised the corners of his mouth. First he lightly patted Animus on the shoulder with an expression of ʼa child worth teaching,ʼ then smiled at Irene and the others as he spoke.

”Oh!!”

As Evanʼs voice fell, Natsu, Kurnugi, and Gajeel all cooperatively shouted in unison.

Even Selene and Irene had beautiful curves appear on their lovely faces…

In this world, there were no women who disliked shopping…

”Hehe, as long as you all like it…”

Animus lightly smiled as he looked at the delighted dragons and Dragon Slayer Mages, not daring to say much else.

”Then next, Animus, I have some other matters I want to discuss with you…”

After obtaining Animusʼs sponsorship, Evan dragged Animus toward the neighboring palace that had not been destroyed.

Before leaving, Evan did not forget to turn around and smile at Irene and the others. ”Irene, I still have some things I want to discuss with Animus. So everyone, letʼs temporarily split up here and gather back here again at sunset. What do you think?”

”Of course…”

Irene knew that Evan had his own plans. She smiled gently at Evan and said nothing more, silently watching his figure depart.

As for everyone else, including dragons and Dragon Slayer Mages such as Laxus and Kurnugi, none of them said anything while looking at Evan and Animus leaving.

”So suspicious…”

Only Erza tightly frowned as she looked at Evan and Animus. She could clearly see the word suspicious written all over them.

”Alright, now that troublesome people like Natsu and the others are gone…”

”Next, we can finally handle serious business…”

Evan dragged Animus into the neighboring room. It was Animusʼs bedroom. First, Evan threw Animus onto the bed in the bedroom, then closed the roomʼs door.

”Uh…”

Animus, who previously had not thought much of anything, suddenly changed expression after hearing Evanʼs words. He abruptly remembered that he could no longer be referred to as he, but rather she.

After all, she was currently using Sonyaʼs body. Could it be that this Dragon King-level monster before her had suddenly become lustful?!

Animusʼs expression drastically changed. He knew that four hundred years ago, there had been a group of dragons who mingled together with humans, and some especially extreme dragons had even formed relationships crossing species boundaries with humans…

And most importantly, the name Belserion belonged to the leader of those dragons who mingled together with humans back then…

In other words, these dragons carrying the surname Belserion were very likely descendants born from dragons and humans crossing species boundaries…

Simply put, these dragons with the surname Belserion perhaps retained human aesthetics. Looking at it this way, wasnʼt she very dangerous?

Thinking of this, Animusʼs face turned deathly pale as her entire body trembled.

”Now then, letʼs discuss serious matters!”

After closing the door, Evan looked toward Animus.

”Iʼm sorry. Although my current body is female, my spirit is male, so I cannot do it…”

Just as Evan was about to discuss Magic Crystals with Animus, Animus bowed deeply toward Evan while solemnly speaking.

”What are you talking about? I was planning to discuss Magic Crystals with you. What exactly are you thinking about in that brain of yours?!”

After hearing Animusʼs words, the corners of Evanʼs eyes twitched slightly. Honestly speaking, he was somewhat speechless.

”Uh…”

Hearing this, Animus froze. She had thought Evan intended to…

How should she put it? Even Animus herself could barely bring herself to say her previous thoughts aloud. It was simply too embarrassing!

”I think… I was also thinking about Magic Crystals.”

Animusʼs expression changed as she quietly changed her wording.

”...”

Evan remained silent. He simply stared silently at Animus without saying anything.

”It seems that you already know my characteristics. I can mass-produce Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals. However, naturally, the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals I produce are completely different from those truly produced using dragon hearts. They can only be considered defective products…”

Animus sensed some awkwardness. In order to ease the embarrassment, she first lightly coughed twice before continuing.

”Yes, of course I know that the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals you produce can only be considered defective products compared to the true Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals produced from dragon hearts, but that is already enough…”

Evan lightly nodded. In this world, although there were not many Mages implanted with Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals, the so-called Second Generation Dragon Slayer Mages, there were not few either.

However, among those Second Generation Dragon Slayer Mages, how many could truly unleash the power of the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals within them?!

True Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals were made from dragon hearts and contained nearly all the power of a dragon.

However, because human bodies were incomparably fragile and fundamentally unable to withstand that power, ordinary Mages could not fully unleash the crystalʼs power even after implantation. In the end, this kind of thing still depended on talent…

As for the Magic Crystals mass-produced by Animus, although they did not possess the power inherently contained within the original Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals, they could still grant Mages Dragon Slayer traits. In other words, after ordinary Mages implanted the Magic Crystals created by Animus, they would at least gain the power to use Dragon Slayer Magic. Most importantly, Animusʼs Magic Crystals could also achieve the same thing as ordinary Magic Crystals, namely preventing humans from undergoing Dragonification after excessively using Dragon Slayer Magic. Therefore, they still possessed great value…

”So your plan is to implant my Magic Crystals into humans to create a powerful army?”

”If itʼs merely for creating an army, then I think there is absolutely no need to implant them into human bodies! Originally, I had already used the characteristics of my Magic Crystals to create many Dragon Slayer Quant Soldiers. They possess limitless stamina, and every one of them has formidable combat power! As long as they have sufficient magic power, they can operate, and they will not stop before their magic power runs out! Those weapons are far easier to use than humans. Honestly speaking, I originally planned to use the power of Dragon Cry to fully awaken them, but Dragon Cry…”

At this point, Animus stopped. Zash had already told her that Dragon Cry had been taken by Evan Belserion. In other words, the Dragon Cry she had longed for so dearly should now be in the hands of this Dragon King-level monster before her. If her guess was correct, her Dragon Cry had probably already been absorbed by this monster…

”Putting Dragon Cry aside, Iʼm talking about those Quant Soldiers. I believe they are much stronger than humans!”

Animus no longer dwelled on the issue of Dragon Cry. In the first place, this world was one where the strong decided everything. Since Evan was stronger than her, it was perfectly normal for him to obtain Dragon Cry. She held no resentment over this matter and could only say that her own strength was insufficient…

But setting Dragon Cry aside, as a dragon, Animus did not trust humans, so she had no intention of using her imitation Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals to strengthen those foolish humans.

”Your Quant Soldiers are indeed very powerful, but their potential is insufficient. Human potential is limitless. Perhaps someone may even rely on those weak Magic Crystals to reach a level comparable to dragons…”

After hearing Animusʼs words, Evan shook his head.

”Then thatʼs even more unacceptable! If another Acnologia appears, will there still be any place left in this world for dragons to survive?!”

Perhaps because of Evanʼs Fish-Fish Fruit, Evanʼs aura was even more dragon-like than actual dragons. Therefore, in Animusʼs eyes, Evan was completely one of their own kind, so she spoke without restraint.

”Animus, your vision is truly too shallow…”

After hearing Animusʼs words, Evan helplessly sighed. His eyes looking at Animus were filled entirely with disappointment.

”T-Then, have I made some kind of mistake?”

Animus froze, not understanding what she had done wrong.

”Animus, answer me this. What is the end point of Dragon Slayer Magic?”

Evan stood with his hands behind his back and asked Animus.

”Become… a dragon?”

Animus froze for a moment. Thoughtfulness appeared in her eyes. After hesitating slightly, she looked at Evan and asked.

”Yes, the end point of Dragon Slayer Magic is becoming a dragon!”

”Then once those Dragon Slayer Mages use the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals we provide to fully master Dragon Slayer Magic, what do you think would happen if we suddenly separated the Magic Crystals that were being used to restrain them?”

Evan narrowed his eyes as he continued questioning Animus.

”Hiss…”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Animus sucked in a breath of cold air as her expression slightly changed.

”At that time, countless Dragon Slayer Mages would transform into dragons!”

Animus looked at Evan in shock.

”Exactly. Do you think the coming era will become the era of humans? No, it will not! The coming era will not become the era of humans. The coming era will belong to us…”

”Animus, at this moment, let the two of us join hands! Let us make dragons great again~”

”I understand!”

After carefully sizing Evan up from top to bottom, Animus finally achieved enlightenment.

Thatʼs right. Since those humans intended to exterminate dragons, then they would do the exact opposite and turn all those dragon-slaying heroes who intended to slay dragons into dragons themselves!

Once all those dragon-slaying heroes became dragons, she wanted to see whether those heroes would continue helping humans or instead protect the interests of dragons~

”Itʼs good that you understand…”

”In truth, the reason I need a large number of Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals is to cultivate even more Dragon Slayer Mages!”

”After all, the Black Dragon King Acnologia is a common enemy of both humans and dragons…”

”As for the Black Dragonʼs strength, I believe no one understands his terror better than you, right?”

Evan slightly raised the corners of his mouth as he looked at Animus, who was gradually being completely fooled by him.

”Acnologia is a nightmare. I will never forget that earth-shattering battle four hundred years ago!”

”Originally, that battle was a war between us dragons, the traitors who betrayed us, and the Dragon Slayer Mages among humans who had learned Dragon Slayer Magic…”

”But suddenly, that man appeared! His Dragon Slayer Magic was incomparably powerful, far surpassing all of us. Neither elemental magic nor spatial magic could affect him in the slightest! In the end, he bathed in dragon blood and devoured dragon souls, transforming into a pitch-black demonic dragon! He was the sole victor of the Dragon King Festival four hundred years ago, the Black Dragon King Acnologia!”

Fear appeared within Animusʼs expression. The reason she had fallen to the point of merging herself with a human and ultimately becoming unable to separate from that body was precisely because of that pitch-black demonic dragon.

Animus believed that no one in this world understood Acnologiaʼs terror better than she did…

”You intend to make a move against him? Forgive my bluntness, but even possessing four Dragon King-level dragons may not necessarily be enough to defeat him…”

Animus had already been completely traumatized by Acnologia. The moment she heard Evan and the others intended to act against Acnologia, her face immediately filled with fear, and terror appeared in her eyes.

”In truth, besides you, we have already gathered sufficient strength…”

”Speaking of which, the invincible Dragon King from four hundred years ago did not appear on the battlefield back then, correct?”

Evan slightly raised the corners of his mouth. He knew it was time to reveal his second card.

”The Dragon King known as ʼInvincibleʼ four hundred years ago…”

”You mean the Fire Dragon King Igneel?!”

Animus froze for a moment before carefully asking Evan.

”Yes. Igneel knew that even he could not injure Acnologia four hundred years ago, so in order to defeat Acnologia, he arranged a plan and traveled through time to arrive in the present! He intends to hold a true Dragon King Festival with Acnologia…”

”Besides that, on our side we also have me, the Sage Dragon Irene, and the Moon Dragon God Selene. With the strength of the three of us, even during the strongest era of dragonkind four hundred years ago, we would have possessed the possibility of ascending to become Dragon Kings!”

”And countless Dragon Slayer Mages personally raised by dragons, the Dragon Children who possess limitless potential. Animus, are you interested in joining this grand finale prepared specifically for the Black Dragon King?!”

Evan snapped his fingers, and a chair instantly appeared behind him. He lightly sat upon it and softly asked Animus.

”So the dragon soul sleeping within that human body belongs to Igneel…”

”If itʼs Igneel, then perhaps he truly can defeat Acnologia…”
